Japan's banknotes will be changed from July.
The portrait on the \10,000 note will also be changed from "Fukuzawa Yukichi" to "Shibusawa Eiichi" (1840-1931).
Both men are great figures in Japan's modernization during the Meiji period, and they have deep ties with Korea historically.
The reason why is that, Fukuzawa, a thinker, supported patriots such as Gim Okgyun (1851-1894) who aimed for the modernization-revolution in Korea, and Shibusawa, a businessman known as the father of Japanese capitalism, contributed greatly to Korea's economic development.

Shibusawa met with (* the 26th King of the Yi dynasty) Kojong (* aka Gwangmu Emperor) in (S)Korea in 1898, and talked about economic reforms, etc. One of the results was the issuance of paper money.
The Busan branch of the Japanese Dai-ichi Bank," whose president was Shibusawa, was in charge of this, and the banknote with Shibusawa's portrait was the 1st banknote in (S)Korea (1902).
It's on display at the "Bank of Korea Money Museum" across from "Namdaemun market" in Seoul.

With Shibusawa's emergence on \10,000 note, it's interesting to see how "calmly" and "objectively" S. Korea can view its own history.

Lia Thomas (USA), who competed as a male until 2020, but became a female athlete in the fall of 2021.
He (* not she) has achieved fraud (* not great) successes, such as winning the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in March 2022. However, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has enacted a rule that essentially bar transgender athletes from the "women's" category.
The (* fraud) athlete's complaint to seek to invalid the rule was also dismissed, meaning his (* not her) path to competing in the Paris Olympics is now over.
I hope that we can "normalize" the period when the rights of female athletes are taken away by athletes with completely different skeletal structures.
