According to trade statistics released by the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China (GACC) in the night on Dec. 20, N. Korea imported about 30,172 tons of rice from China in November.
It's further steeply larger than in October, when it increased boldly -- it's the largest amount of imports per month this year.
The food situation may be tight.

On Dec. 19, the intra-LDP lawmakers group "the Conference to Japan's Dignity and National Interest" (JDI) held a meeting over the issue that Chinese policy deploys "overseas police stations" in foreign countries including Japan.
When it comes to "overseas police stations," it's pointed out that the Chinese authorities are using it to monitor Chinese dissidents abroad, and it could infringe on Japan's sovereignty.
An executive of the National Security Secretariat (SNN) said that "It's necessary to grasp the evidence to see whether or not there are any behaviors actions close to the exercise of public authority, such as arrests and detentions (in Japan)."

UH lawmaker Shigeharu Aoyama (LDP), representativeof the JDI, revealed the remark by the NSS executive.
Regarding the "overseas police stations" of the Chinese police, a Spanish human rights NGO (non-governmental organization) pointed out that it's used by the Chinese authorities as bases to force Chinese living abroad engaged in anti-regime activities to return home via threats to their families in China, etc.
According to the NGO, there are 102 police stations in 53 countries, and it has bases in Tokyo ad Aichi prefectures too.

Prof. Yang Haiying (* aka Akira Ohno) at Shizuoka University -- an Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region native, who has protested to the practical assimilation policy by the Chinese authorities -- appealed a the meeting on Dec. 19 that "I request (Tokyo) to crack down it ASAP."

Translation; A Chinese naval survey ship violated the Japanese territorial waters for the 1s time since November

On Dec. 19, the Ministry of Defense released that a Chinese naval survey ship intruded into Japanese territorial waters south of Yaku Island (Kagoshima Pref.) in the morning on the same day.
It conveyed its strong concern to the Chinese side via diplomatic channels.
In the vicinity, Chinese vessels have been intruding into territorial waters one after another -- the latest one was done on Nov. 2.

According to the MoD, the survey ship sailed westward about 50 km southeast of Tanega Island around 3:20 am on Dec. 19.
South of Tanega Island, she entered the contiguous zone outside of the territorial waters, and around 6:50 am, she entered the territorial waters south of Yaku Island.
She then moved within the territorial waters, and around 10:30 a.m., she left of the territorial waters from west of Kuchinoerabu Island.
A P1 patrol plane of the Japan Maritime SDF monitored her.
