On Dec. 6, the general staff office of the Korean people's army (KPA) announced with the name of its spokesperson that, as S. Korean side has conducted bombardment from the morning on that day, it issued an order to the frontline forces to fire artillery shells on the sea to counter and warn them.
Following Dec. 5, It's forecasted to fire artillery shells onto the sea.

U.S. and S. Korean forces have announced a plan to conduct training on Dec. 5 and 6 in Cheorwon County in Gangwon Province, north of Seoul near the border.
U.S.-S. Korean training began in the morning on Dec. 5, and in the afternoon on that day, N. Korea fired totally around 130 shells into the Sea of Japan and the Yellow Sea.
The KPA said it was a countermeasure to the U.S.-S. Korea joint exercises. The announcement on Dec. 6 called on the U.S. and S. Korea to "immediately stop provocative military actions."

On Dec. 14, a rally demanding to dismiss Parliamentary Vice-Minister for the MIC Mio Sugita (LDP), whose successive racism-remarks are problematized, was held in front of JR Sapporo Station.
A 17-year-old male high school student in the city called out it on Twitter, and about 50 persons participated in it.

The high school student tweeted that "As a communist, as an Ainu and as a gay, I will never forgive any words or actions."

Participants held up flags and placards that read such as "Ainu discrimination is illegal."

Concerning the "Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) system" to intercept ballistic missiles targeting Japan, on Dec. 4, the outline of the government's program to upgrade it aiming to realize by the end of FY2031 was revealed.
In order to upgrade the ground interception network, 14 ground-to-air units of the Ground SDF will be newly given missile interception capabilities.
In particular, it will place importance on the Nansei Islands to be ready against China, it will be deployed to 6 units in Okinawa Pref. and 1 unit on Amamio Island in Kagoshima Pref.
Combined with the existing four units of the Air SDF on the Okinawa main-island, it will be totally 11 units, nearly three times as many.
