渡米8周年 (My 8th anniversary of moving to MN.)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How's your day going?



昨日、無事にバケーション地、クロスレイクに到着し、楽しい家族の時間を過ごしています。
Andy and I safely got to Cross lake for our family vacation yesterday morning and we're having a great time.




早速ゴルフしてます。（Hit-chanは昨日は観戦専門）
Yeah, they're playing golf already. (I was just watching yesterday.)








バケーションの様子は追って書くとして、今日6月30日ですが、Hit-chanにとってミネソタ移住8周年記念日でございます。
I'm going to write about our vacation later, but today, I want to talk about my 8th anniversary of moving to MN.




2010年の6月30日に、親友のあきさんと彼氏の新ちゃん（現旦那さま）に見送られて、関空から飛び立ちました。
June 30th in 2010, I flew from Kansai airport. My best friend, Aki and her boyfriend at that time and now her husband, Shin-chan kindly came along with me to the airport that day.




あれからもう8年。感覚としてはあっという間ですが、改めて振り返るとたくさんの思い出が詰まった8年です。
It's already passed 8 years since then and it feels so quick at first, but the 8 years are certainly and thankfullly filled with a lot of wonderful memories.




日本とミネソタ、両方の家族や友人の支えもあり、本当に幸せな人生を過ごさせてもらっています。
Especially thanks to my family's and friends' support both in Japan and MN, my life has been just perfet.




あと、6月30日と言いますと、Hit-chanが非常にお世話になった友人の一人、ふじさんのお誕生日でもあります。
Speaking of June 30th, it's one of my best friends, Fuji-san's birthday. She helped me a lot when I had to leave work for cancer treatment.




今年の1月に日本に帰った時も、ご主人と一緒に美味しいお蕎麦を食べに連れて行ってくれたり、お世話になりました。
When Andy and I went back to Japan this year, she and her husband kindly planned and guided a wonderful day tour just for us.




ふじさん、おめでとう
Happy Birthday, Fuji-san!!




そんな訳で、ミネソタ生活9年目に入りましたが、この先、10年、20年、30年と引き続き、ワクワク楽しい人生を送っていきたいと思います！！！
Anyways, I'm starting my 9th year in MN and I definitely want to keep this wonderful Waku-Waku life here in the next 10, 20, 30 years and more!!

Andyっちの血液型 (Andy's blood type)

Hello there!




皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing?




Hit-chanは、今週少し動き過ぎたのか、ちょっとお疲れ気味です。
I'm actually kind of tired today since I was a little bit too active this week.




実は明日の早朝から、ファミリーべケーションでいつものようにクロスレイクエリアに行きます。
Actually, my family here is having a vacation at Cross lake area from tomorrow and Andy and I are planning to leave home in the really early morning tomorrow.




で、Hit-chan以外の家族はいつものように、ゴルフに明け暮れる予定ですが、Hit-chanはゆっくりしたいなぁと思っております。
As always, everybody else is going to enjoy golf for the most of the vacation, but I want to mostly enjoy a relaxing and lazy time there.




さて、日本で体外受精をするにあたって、お世話になるクリニックでまず最初に夫婦揃って血液検査を受けました。
Anyways, when Andy and I first visited the Japanese clinic for IVF, we did some blood tests there.




その時に、「そういえば、Andyっちの血液型を知らないなぁ。」と思い、ついでに調べてもらいました。
At that time, I just came up with this thought, "Oh, we don't know Andy's blood type." and asked them to add the test to check his blood test then.




で、その後何度もクリニックに行ったものの、血液型の話よりも大切なお話がいっぱいあったので、その事は忘れておりました。
After the blood test, we visited the clinic several times, but we have more important things to talk about to them and I totally forgot about the blood test for a while.




とうとう最後の診察の時に、一緒に付いて行ってもらった母から、「血液型の結果、最後やし聞いとき～。」と背中を押してもらい、やっとこさ聞く事ができました。
Thougn, on the last appointment, my mom told me, "Oh, you should ask them about Andy's blood type cause this is the last chance!" And finally, I got the result.




まぁ、日本の血液型占いや性格診断を信じる人もいれば、信じない人もいるという事は前提ですが、Andyっちと結婚して8年、妻からみて夫は
Here in Japan, we have tons of casual personality analysis by your blood type, but of course, some people believe it and some don't. I personally like it and the blood types that I guessed from 8 year marriage with him were,




「AかO型やなぁ。」
"Yeah, it would be A or O."




と思っていました。




すごく完璧主義なところがあるので、その部分からはA型。
Andy's sometimes a perfectionist and which made me think he's type A.




ただ、靴下脱ぎっぱなしは毎日(笑)な大雑把な部分、そして、初対面の人でもすぐに仲良く話せる社交的な性格からはO型。
Though, he's not that tidy like he leaves his dirty socks on the couch everyday. LOL Plus that, he's very social enough to feel comfortable to talk to strangers right away and those 2 facts made me think that he's type O.




あと、天邪鬼な性格も少しあるので、AB型という可能性もちょっと疑っていました。
I also thought that he might be type AB since he's a little cynical too.




で、もらった結果に書いてあったのは。。。
So, what the actual result said was...










O型でございます
Blood type O!!!




Hit-chanの日本の家族はB型＆AB型で、友人の多くはA型かB型だったので、今まであまりO型の人との繋がりは無かったのですが、まさか生涯の伴侶がO型だったとは！
My family in Japan is mostly B and only a couple of AB. Also, most of my friends are A or B, so I actually hadn't had a blood type O person around in my life. Wow, it's a little bit surprising that my life partner is O!!




あの大雑把な性格と社交的な性格からみて、かなり納得です。
Though, the result totally makes sense to me.





こちらアメリカでは血液型を調べるという機会があまりないので、自分の血液型を知っている人は少ないと思います。
Here in the US, people don't check their blood types in general and most of the people don't know their blood types.




Andyっちも、今回日本で体外受精をしなければ、この先大きな病気やケガをしたりしない限り、一生知らなかったんだろうなぁ。
Probably, if Andy didn't have a chance to check it in Japan this time, he wouldn't have known his blood type for the rest of his life unless he gets seriously injured or sick.



あ、ちなみにHit-chanはB型なので、今度産まれてくる赤ちゃんの血液型は、かなりの可能性でB型、ほんの少しの可能性でO型だと思います。
BTW, mine is B, which means our baby is going to be type B with high probability and might be O with a lesser chance.

ゲストルーム用デスク (A desk for the guest room)

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How's your life treating you?



Hit-chanは元気にしております。
Mine has been spoiling me as usual.



さて、先日、我が家の地下にある2つのベッドルームの話をしました。
So, I talked about the 2 bedrooms in the basement the other day.



一つを子供部屋、もう一つをゲストルームに仕上げるべく、赤ちゃんが生まれるまで＆Hit-chanが元気に動ける間に、頑張って準備を進めています。
We want to make them ready as a kid's room and a guest bedroom by the time our baby's born and while I can move well enough.




こちらが例のゲストルーム。
This is the room to be a guest room.



一応、この部屋に置いてあった色々なものを部屋の外には出していたんですが、先日、この部屋に置く為のデスクが届きました。
I already moved all the unnecesarry things out of the room before and recieved a desk for this room last week.



と言っても、届いたのは組み立てる前の状態。
Yeah, it was not assembled yet.




こんな感じね。

なので、頑張って1人で組み立ててみました。
So, I tried to assemble it on my own.



1時間くらいかなぁ？で、無事完成しましたよ
I think it took about one hour or so to get it done.

本棚の横にあったドレッサーも移動して、そこに置きました。
（というか、そこにしか置けなかったよ。）
I also moved the dresser by the book shelf and put the desk there instead. (Yeah, that's the only spot where I could put the desk. Haha.)




まだデスクの上に置くランプや椅子は検討中ですが、良い感じ～。
I'm still thinking about a lamp or a chair for the desk, but I already like it.




このデスク、Office Depotというオフィス用品を扱っているお店で買ったのですが、最初、全く別の用事でOffice DepotにAndyっちと行く事があり、その時たまたま見つけたデスクで、その翌日までがセールだったんです。

As for this desk, I purchased it at Office Depot. Andy and I went to an Office Depot for a different chore the other day and we ran into the desk there. What's good was they were doing sale on it until the next day.




で、他のお店もちょっと見てから、やっぱりこのデスクが良いという結論になりまして、ネットでセール価格の上、メール登録したらさらに20％offになりまして、定価$189.99だったのが、$112.49で買う事ができました！

Andy and I checked a Hope Chest store right after that, but they didn't have any similar desk at the point and we decided to buy the desk at Office Depot. Like I said, it was on sale and besides that, I could get extra 20% off by signing up their email letter, so I ended up being able to buy the desk for $112.49. The original price was $189.00, so wasn't it such a great deal?




まぁ、安いデスクではありますが、ゲストの方がパソコンを使ったり、手紙を書いたりするには十分だと思います。
Yeah, I know it's not a fancy and expensive desk, but I think it's ncie enough for a guest to use their laptop or write a letter on.



これでまた一歩ですが、赤ちゃんを迎える準備を一つ進める事が出来ました！！
Anyways, this is just another step to welcome our baby, but I certainly made some more progress!!

Happy Pride!! 2018

皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How's your day going?



Hit-chanは元気にしております。
Mine is great.



さて、ミネソタでは今日LGBTをサポートするパレード、Pride Paradeが開催されました。
So, here in MN, we had Pride Parade in Twin Cities today.

昨年のパレードには、Andyっちと一緒に初参加しました。
Andy and I went to the parade last year for the first time.

本当は今年も参加しようと思って、昨年取った指定エリアのチケット情報もチェックしていたんですが、のほほんとしているうちに売り切れに！がーん。
I was actually going to attend it this year again and checking the tickets for the reserved area. Though, while I was being lazy, all the tickets were sold out! Oh NO!!



まぁ、場所を選ばなければ無料で見られるので、行こうと思えば行けたんですが、AndyっちもHit-chanも少しお疲れ気味だったんで、今年は見送る事にしました。
Well, we still could go to the parade since they have open free area too, but Andy and I both were kind of tired today and decided to pass it this year.



ここの所、ず～っと、レースカーの準備に時間と労力を費やしていたブラッド君とAndyっち。
Andy's brother, Brad and Andy have been working so hard on their racing car recently.



今日の午後、ようやくひと段落したらしく、ブラッド君が帰ってから、Andyっちと2人で遅めの昼ご飯を食べに行きました。
They finally and briefly finished the project this afternoon and Andy suggested me to go out to lunch togethe after Brad left our house.















一応、TシャツはHappy Pride仕様だよ。
I chose this T-shirt today!




Hit-chanはラップ。いつもと違うHoneyBBQというソースにしたけど美味しかったよ。
I got this wrap with HoneyBBQ sauce. I tried a different sauce from my usual, but I liked it a lot.




新メニューで焼肉味があったんですが、今日は売り切れ。代わりにそれに近いオリジナルソースを薦められたので注文したら、これが美味しかった！！
We found a new sauce, Korean BBQ, on the menu, but unfortunately they didn't have it today. Though, the server guy recommended their substitutional sauce which is mixture of Asian Zinc and Teriyaki and what a surprise! Andy and I both really liked it.




AndyっちのSpicy Garlic味。
Andy got Spicy Garlic too.




ご飯の後、一旦家に帰って、お天気が良かったのでそのままゴルフの打ちっぱなしに行きました。
It was nice out today, so after the nice lunch, we got back home quick and went out to driving range.








かなり久しぶりにクラブを握ったHit-chan。
It's been more than a year since the last time I held my clubs.



来週のファミリーバケーションに備えて、練習するAndyっち。
He did some practice for our family vacation next week.



ガンガン飛ばすAndyっち。
He hit the balls pretty well.



それなりのHit-chan。
I hit the balls not so well.



Hit-chan、めちゃ久しぶりの打ちっぱなしで、最初はあまり上手く打てなかったんですが、Andyっちがアドバイスをくれて、その通りにやるとかなり良くなりました。
In the beginning of the practice, I couldn't hit the balls well, but Andy kindly gave me a good advice which made my swing much better.



一緒に暮らして毎日会ってはいるのですが、特にAndyっちが最近忙しくしており、2人でゆっくり話をしたり、何かを一緒にする時間がありませんでした。
Of course, we're living together and see each other every single day, but Andy's been especially super busy lately and we hadn't had much time to talk or do something together.



なので、今日、本当に久しぶりにゆっくり2人の時間を持てたのが嬉しかったです。
So, I'm so happy that we could enjoy the entire day together today.
