How's everything going in your life?
ミネソタは寒い日が続いておりますが、この先感謝祭が間近に迫っており、その後は一気にクリスマスムードになりそうです。
Here in MN, it's been very cold. Thanksgiving is coming up next week and Christmas will be here after that too.
さて、先日ですが、Andyっちの二人いる親友の一人、ビルと一緒に飲みに行きました。
The other day, Andy and I went out with one of Andy's best friends, Bill.
ビルの誕生日に飲みに行く予定が、ビル、風邪ひいちゃって、延期になったんです。
Andy and Bill were supposed to hang out for Bill's birthday, but they postponed it since Bill got sick that day.
今回行ったのはミネアポリスのダウンタウンにある、New Bohemia というバー。
We went to a bar in downtown Minneapolis called New Bohemia.
メニューはこんな感じ。
Here is the menu.
Hit-chanはジャーマンソーセージのホットドック。
I got a German sausage.
Andyっちもジャーマンソーセージのホットドック。トッピングは違うよ。
Andy also got a German sausage with different toppings.
テーブルには色々なソースやマスタードがありました。
They had some different kinds of sauce and mustard on the table.
ベルギースタイルのポテト。何がベルギー風なのか、イマイチ分からないまま、美味しくいただきました。
Belgian style fries. We didn't know what part was Belgian, but they were still tasty.
で、ビルが頼んだプレッツェル。超巨大でしたよ。(笑)
Bill ordered a pretzel, but it was surprisingly so huge!
また、フラッシュが眩しい顔してます。
Yeah, the camera flash was too bright for Andy again.
窓際で寒かったので、コート着たまま。
It was chilly by the window, so I kept my coat on.
ビル、元気になって良かったね。
Bill, I'm glad you got better.
何やら、毎週木曜日はミュージックナイトか何かをやっているらしく、かなりの音量で音楽が流されておりました。
They were having a music night or something on Thursday nights and playing music so loud.
BGMの音量が凄いので、皆大声で話さないといけなくて、余計にバーの中は騒々しい状態になっておりました。
Since the music was so loud, everyone had to scream to talk as well, so the bar was pretty noisy.
バーの中もあまり広くないので、人が増えてくると結構カオスな感じになりまして、あまり長居できませんでした。
There wasn't much space either and the more people come in the more chaotic the place got, so we didn't stay that long.
ただ、食事やバーテンダーさんの接客は良かったので、また日を変えて来たら良いなぁと思いました。
Still, the food and the bartender were pretty nice, so I want to come back here some other time.
何より、Hit-chanは久しぶりにビルと会って、元気な顔を見られたので良かったです。
Anyways, I'm so glad to see Bill in person.
まぁ、そういう訳で、ゆっくり食事という訳にはいきませんでしたが、色々と近況報告ができて良かったです。
We couldn't have quiet and relaxing time together, but it was still nice that we catch up on each others's life.
