あゆみちゃんが来たよ。③(Ayumi-chan came to MN! vol.3)

こちらミネソタ、今日はめちゃくちゃ良いお天気です！
Here in MN, we're having a super beautiful day!




最近結構雨降る日が多かったんですが、今ってミネソタの梅雨なんでしょうかねぇ。
It's rained a lot lately, so I'm wondering if it's MN rain season now.




つい昨日、土の中で冬眠していたカエルさん達が地上に出ていて、Hit-chan、「夏が来たよ～！！！」と、興奮しちゃいましたよ。（笑）
So the other day, I found some frogs coming out on the ground from hibernation and got so excited as screaming to Andy "The summer is here!!!!" on the phone. Haha.




さて、今日もあゆみちゃん滞在記の続きでございます。
Okay now, I want to go to the rest of Ayumim-chan's visit again today.




楽しくハイキングを終えた後は。。。
After we enjoyed hiking so much...





そう、家に帰ってたこ焼き！！！
Yes!!! Home made Takoyaki!!!!





冷凍庫にず～っと置いてあったたこさんを解禁しました。（笑）
I'd had an octopus sooooo long, but finally pulled it out. Haha.





本当、たこ焼きは一番好きな食べ物と言っても過言ではないので、Hit-chan超ご機嫌です。
Seriously, I would say that Takoyaki is my favorite food, so I'm in a super good mood.





青のりと鰹節は切らしてたけど、十分な美味しさでしたよ。
I was out of stock of dried seaweed and bonito, but it's still extremely delicious.




あゆみちゃんもめちゃくちゃ喜んでくれて、一杯食べてくれたので本当に作り甲斐がありました。
Ayumi-chan was so pleased as well and ate a lot! That made me feel so happy.





で、お腹がいっぱいになった所で、あゆみちゃんをHit-chanの親友スカーレットに紹介する為に、またまたカリブーまで行きました。
After we filled our bellies full, I took Ayumi-chan to my caribou to introduce my best friend, Scarlet, to her.






で、記念撮影。
Yes, we took a picture again.




いやぁ、あゆみちゃんとはお店でトランプしたりして楽しんだんですけど、気づいたのは、スカーレット、Hit-chanが日本語で話してる姿をこの時初めて見たんですねぇ。
Ayumi-chan and I played cards at the store a little bit, and I realized that it was the first time fro Scarlet to see me speaking Japanese a lot.




何かねぇ、高校時代の友達とこっちの親友が同じ空間にいるっていう事が、ちょっと不思議な感じでしたが、本当に嬉しかったですよ。
Oh well, it felt so weird for me to see my friend from high school in Japan and my best friend here were at the same place and the same time.




でね、この時の為にあゆみちゃんには、あゆみちゃんの愛犬もんじろうの写真を持ってくるように言ってたんです。
By the way, before Ayumi-chan came to MN, I was telling her to bring a few pictures of Monjiro(Her dog) with her.




というのも、Hit-chanが働くカリブーには皆さんの愛犬の写真を飾るボードがあり、もんじろうの写真もぜひぜひ飾ったもらいたかったんですよ。
We actually have a board for anyone to put their dogs' picture on, so I wanted her to put hers on it too.





無事、ボードの特等席にもんじろうの写真をはる事ができました。
Luckily, we could put Monjiron on one of the best spots.




という訳で、あゆみちゃん滞在3日目は盛りだくさんの内容で満足でした。
Okay, we also spent the 3rd day with much fun again.




あと1日！あゆみちゃん滞在記続きます！！

あゆみちゃんが来たよ。②(Ayumi-chan came to MN! vol.2)

Hi!





皆さん、今日はいかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?





Hit-chanは昨日、今日とお仕事はお休みなんで、頑張ってあゆみちゃん滞在記を一気に書いていきたいと思います。
I'm off yesterday and today in a row, so I want to finish writing about Ayumi-chan's visit.





この日は、あゆみちゃんの希望もあり、Andyっちのガイドのもと、3人でハイキングに出かけました。
So, on the 3rd day, Andy took us to hiking because that's one of things Ayumi-chan wanted to do in MN.





Andyっちが連れて来てくれたのは、Interstate State Parkという所です。
We went to Interstate State Park.




臨場感を出すため、わざわざ二人に「写真撮るから、前歩いといて！」って言って撮った写真。（笑）
I wanted to make this picture look live, so I asked them "I want to take a pic, so just go ahead of me!" Hehe.




生憎、この日はちょっと曇り空で風も強く、結構寒かったです。
Unfortunately, it's so cloudy, windy and a little bit cold as well.




ただ、景色は最高で、マイナスイオンいっぱいって感じでしたよ。
Even though, the views were so beautiful and refreshing.






















Andyっちが座ってるこのベンチ、結構すごいところに設置されてるんですよ。
This bench that Andy's sitting on is actually located on a scary spot.





ほら、違う角度から撮るとこんな感じ。
（ちなみに高所恐怖症のあゆみちゃんは近づけませんでした。笑）
See? This is from a different angle.
(Ayumi-chan is actually scared of height, so she couldn't get closer to the bench. Haha)





せっかく3人で来たからと、久しぶりに出木杉君（簡易三脚）を使って記念撮影しました。
I wanted to take a picture of 3 of us, so I used my small camera stand, "Mr. Super nice" after so long.





あゆみちゃんも怖さを堪えて何とか頑張って立ってくれました。
Ayumi-chan put up with the fear of height and tried to stand on the end as well. Good job, Ayumi-chan!




初心者向けのコースだったので、特にしんどくはなかったですが、ちょうどお昼頃でお腹がすきました。
The route was a beginner's and was't too hard, but it was around noon and we got hungry.










そうです、この日はあゆみちゃんの提案で、朝からおにぎりを握って持ってきたんですよ！
Yeah, we brought some rice balls that we made that morning!




Andyっちとハイキングするとなったら、やっぱりチーズとかハムとかがメインになっちゃうんですが、本当に久しぶりに外で食べるおにぎりの美味しさにはめちゃくちゃ感動しましたよ。
When Andy and I go hiking, we usually bring something like cheese or ham, so I was so exited to eat the rice balls outside and they were so delicious!!!




いやぁ、やっぱり日本人なんだなぁと改めて感じましたよ。
Oh well, that reminded me that I'm Japanese again.





写真は撮らなかったんですが、十分自然とおにぎりを堪能した後には、お土産を購入したり、帰り道に陶器ギャラリーに立ち寄ったりして、とっても楽しく過ごせました。
I didn't take a picture after this, but we bought some souvenirs and stopped at a pottery festival on the way back home. We really had a wonderful time for sure.




という訳で、まだまだ、続きます！！！！

あゆみちゃんが来たよ。①(Ayumi-chan came to MN! vol.1)

Hello!





皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?




こちらミネソタもずいぶん暖かくなりまして、Hit-chanは最近アレルギーによるくしゃみばっかりしております。
Here in MN, it's got so warmer, but I sneeze a lot because of Allergy lately.




さて、またしばらくブログを放置しておりましたら、またまたAndyっちから「まだ更新しいひんの？」と聞かれまして、自分の怠惰な性格に呆れつつも、頑張って書くことにしました。（笑）
By the way, I haven't updated my blog for a while again and then Andy asked me "Don't you write your blog yet?" again. So, finally, I kicked my lazy butt today. Haha.




で、書くことはいっぱいありまして、実は先日、高校からの友人で、現在はケンタッキーに住んでいるあゆみちゃんがミネソタに遊びに来てくれてたんです。
I actually have many things to write today because my friend from high school, Ayumi-chan, stayed with us for 4 days the other day. She's living in KY for her husband's work now.




なので、その様子を書いていきたいと思います。
So, I want to write about it today.




わざわざ、はるばるケンタッキーから来てもらったのですが、やっぱり、Hit-chanの普段の生活の様子を見てもらいたくて、まず、あゆみちゃんを連れて行ったのは、Hit-chanが働いているカリブーのお店でございます。
Thankfully, Ayumi-chan came to MN all the way from KY, but I wanted to show her my daily life, so I took her to my Caribou.









あゆみちゃんには、店長のキャットがウェルカムドリンクとして、ご馳走してくれましたよ。
My new manager, Kat, kindly gave Ayumi-chan a welcome drink. Thanks Kat!




この時働いていた、キャットとステイシーと一緒に記念撮影をしました。
We took a picture with Kat and Stacy.





ちなみにこの写真は、ちょうどこの時に入ってきた優しいお客さんが自らカメラマンを買って出て撮ってくれました。
This picture was actually taken by a nice customer who just came in the store at that time.



この日はとってもお天気が良かったので、お外を少し散策しました。
This day was really beautiful, so we walked around the town a while.





カリブーの前には湖があるんですよ。
There is a lake in front of my caribou.









で、周りにあんまり人がいなかったのと、久しぶりにあゆみちゃんと会ってテンション上がったので、
There were not so many people around and I got excited to see Ayumi-chan, so...





Hit-chan、久しぶりにジャンプ写真も撮っちゃいましたよ。
（あんまり地元で撮る機会ないですしねぇ。）
I took a jump picture after a while.
(Yeah, I don't usually take this kind of pictures in my hometown so much.)




本当、あゆみちゃんが来る1週間2週間前まで、結構寒かったミネソタですが、こうやって街を歩いた日は本当に気持ちのお天気で最高でした。
Speaking of the weather, we had a really long winter and it's still cold like a few weeks before Ayumi-chan came to MN, so I'm so glad we could walk around in such a nice weather.




この日は、実はこの後、一緒に家庭教師のお仕事に行き、Hit-chanはいつも通りに家庭教師をし、あゆみちゃんはベビーシッターとして4歳の男の子を遊んでくれました。
After this, we went to tutoring together and I tutored the 8 year boy as usual and Ayumi-chan played together with a 4 year boy.




で、しかもこの後急遽カリブーの仕事のヘルプが必要になり、Hit-chanは家庭教師の後にカリブーでちょっと働くことになったのでした。
Actually, we were going to have a relaxing night after tutoring, but I got a call from my caribou and ended up working that night.




まぁそんな訳で、この日はちょっとバタバタしてしまいましたが、無事楽しく過ごす事ができました。
Anyways, the day went a little bit busy, but we had much fun.





あゆみちゃんのミネソタ滞在記、この後もまだまだ続きます。
