This iris grows in the wet field.

Taking a walk this evening, I saw these flowers.

Onion

Shizusan harvested these onions in her vegetable field a few days ago.
Thanks to her, I don't have to buy onions at the store at all.

As they are so fresh, we can eat raw sliced-onion for the time being.
They are delicious eaten with salad dressing.

After two weeks

Sprouts of rice plant are growing day by day.
About two weeks after the paddies were scattered , they grew like these pictures.

They are long enough to be planted, but there is no water in the rice-field now.
So we can't plant them yet.

Dry flower

I made dry flowers from these roses presented on Mother's day.

And I tried framing a picture for the first time.

I'm glad to succeed in it!!

Respect- for -the- aged day

A meeting for the aged was held at a town hall yesterday.

The old who are older than 75 years were invited to the meeting.
And the ones who are 88 years;(be-i-jyu) this year were cerebrated specially and got a special present.

The old are increasing year by year, so the number of the old invited to meeting became too large.
As a result, the one older than 75 years old can attend it, though 70 could a few years ago.

Of course, 85 year-old Shizusan also dressed up and attended it.
According to her, there were some performances, dances and so on.
She enjoyed watching them, eating lunch presented to her.

Besides she was presented a cup of Japanese-sake, a bottle of tea and a box of candy.

This is one of the annual events in this town.

Lychnis coronaria;(Fu-ra-n-ne-ru so-u)
This flower is blooming now in the yard.
We call it 'Lychnis coronaria' or 'Dusty-miller' as it is covered with a white detailed hair.

Behind the clouds is the sun still shining.

Even if we are in bad condition, we do not need to be disappointed because the bad thing will not last long.
