No-gu-gawa is a river which runs through at the bottom of Higashi-yama mountain range.
It starts from the south of Ao-ki Lake through Naka-tsuna and Ki-zaki Lake.
Since the temperature of water is warmer than other rivers,
ancient people started rice farming near this river,
and still gives not only water but also nice view to us.
So this river has been an artery of O-machi.
Those neighbors are taking care of this river all year round.
Shiba-zakura (lawn flower) blooms in Spring.
Ayame (Iris) blooms in May.
Cosmos blooms in September.
The broad area of river banks are always well maintained.
So when the weather is nice and clear, you want to come here.
The North Alps and No-gu-gawa are in front of you with some kind of flowers.
It is a good path to take a walk.
There are some municipal parking lots in the city.
It takes about 10 minutes walk from the nearest parking.
