結婚届や離婚届にも、印鑑を押さなくてもいいようになる見込み。
現在でも、自治体（の長）が認めれば、オンラインで（当然、印鑑ナシ）で、これらの届けができるらしいが、実施している市町村はないそうだ。
「はんこ行政」を見直しの政府方針を受けて、公文書をはじめとする決裁文書や、役所等への届け出書類は「押印不要」に。
結婚も離婚も、効率が優先？
ハンコ、印鑑の歴史は、極め古く、＜自己証明＞として、世界的に紀元前までさかのぼる、、。
役所内や役所間の押印を省くのはともかく、会社や団体（の代表者）の印証は、あってもいいように思うけど、、。

Marriage, divorce papers may go 'hanko-free'
Japan's Justice Ministry is considering doing away with a requirement that people registering marriages or divorces must stamp documents with "hanko," or personal seals.

Justice Minister Kamikawa Yoko told reporters on Friday that the move is in line with efforts by the administration of Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide to review the heavy use of such seals for government documents.

航空機内で聞く、歓迎などのことば。
初めて、あるいは、聞きなれた？この英語に、旅の出発の気分がした人も多いはず、、。
JAL（日本航空）は、その言葉を、“all passengers”　すべての乗客のみなさま”、に変える。
機内はもちろん、搭乗ゲイトなどでも、変更。
すべては、性同一者等への配慮のため、、、。
・・・・・　 “good morning”　も、「Good morning,everyone」に、変えられるとか、、。
・・・・10月１日から、新しいJALの歴史が始まる、、、？

JAL to replace “ladies and gentlemen” with “all passengers” in gender-neutral move
Japan Airlines Co. stopped using the phrase “ladies and gentlemen” in their English cabin announcements on Thursday, with “all passengers” taking its place. The company revised the expression in consideration of those who may not use gender-based terms when identifying themselves and the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities.

English announcements are made on board aircraft and at airport gates, and the gender-definitive expression was changed on all JAL flights starting Thursday. In airports, other gender-free announcements such as “good morning” were also implemented.

ガソリン車・販売 15年後禁止へ

アメリカ・カリホルニア州（人口４千万、全米最大）は、2035年までに、ガソリン車やジーゼル車の同州内での新車販売を禁止すると、州知事が発表。
化石燃料を使用し排気ガスを出す、すべての乗用車や小型トラックなどが対象。
同州は大規模な山火事に見舞われていることにもよるが、言うまでもなく「世界の環境を守るため」。
すでに、ヨーロッパや中国でさえ、こうした、「ガソリン車」の販売はもとより、製造さえも（近い将来の）禁止を打ち出している。

各地で起こる酷暑や自然災害、いずれもが、気候変動のせい？

California to ban sales of new gasoline vehicles
The governor of California has issued an executive order requiring all new cars and passenger trucks sold in the state to be zero-emission vehicles by 2035.

Gavin Newsom signed the order on Wednesday.

California will prohibit all in-state sales of new gasoline and diesel cars by the target year. But the order will allow people to own gasoline cars they purchased before the ban takes effect. It will also allow sales of such cars on the used market.

女性の最高齢者、117歳、男は110歳。
100歳以上は、男女合わせて、初めて8万人（前年比9,174人増、増加率も最高）を超えた。
50年連続の増加。
女性は、そのうち88.2％、敬老に日を前に厚労省＜2019年調査＞が発表。

全国で出生した赤ちゃんの数は、過去最少で、死者の数は、戦後最多。

一方、東京都の人口が、コロナの関係か、流出人口が流入人口を越した。

Centenarians top 80,000 for 1st time in rapidly aging Japan
The number of people aged 100 or above in Japan has surpassed 80,000 for the first time amid the rapid aging of the country's population, government data showed Tuesday.

The number of centenarians rose 9,176 from the previous year to 80,450 as of Tuesday for the 50th consecutive yearly increase, with women accounting for 88.2 percent of the total, according to the data released by the Health, Labor and Welfare Ministry.

Japan's average life expectancy was 87.45 for women and 81.41 for men in 2019, both record highs, according to health ministry data released in July this year.

オリンピック 是が非でも開催へ

ようやく秋の気配が感じられる頃となったが、気になるのは、来年のオリンピック、パラリンピック。
バレーボールや、バスケットボールなどの本格シーズンが始まる。
卓球や、ゴルフも、、。
一方、そろそろ、外国のスポーツ団体からの、参加、不参加の表明が聞かれる頃だろう。
開催の決断権をもつ国際オリンピック協会の態度が気になるところだが、、。
日本スポーツ庁？らの関係者によると、日本政府は、開催時にコロナ禍であってもも外国人選手の入国の緩和を決めた、とのこと。
「外国人競技者の参加で、よりリンピックの成功と各種目の競争が強まるだろう」と、、。

こんな、ごくごく当然のことを言う必要があるのかな？、とは、思うけど、、、。
外国から見に来る人は、どうするんだろうね、、？

また、一対一の対決であったなら、、と。

Central Japan residents to seek injunction to stop maglev train work

A group of residents in the central Japan prefecture of Shizuoka are preparing to seek a court injunction to stop the construction of a high-speed maglev train line, officials of a local civic group said Saturday.

Central Japan Railway Co is already facing opposition from the local government over the construction work and gave up on its original plan to open the new line between Tokyo and Nagoya in 2027.

戦後75年 異国で生きる”花嫁”

戦後75年の8月。
今年も、この数日は、日本人にとって特別な時期だ。
この時期、まるで、あの時、広島に住んでいたかのような思いにさえなる。
・・・・・・と、外国人記者が書く。
日本のテレビや新聞が、戦争の記事で埋まるから、、。
ソ連の条約違反の侵入、長崎の空爆
そして、無条件降伏、とつづく。

確かに、、、
しかし、毎年、目や耳にしながら、新鮮な、真剣な気持ちになる、、、。

今年は、たまたま、NHK・BS1の番組で、「戦争花嫁のアメリカ」（8日、３～５PM)を見た。
アメリカに渡った日本人の花嫁は約4万人。
彼女らの、花嫁から、母、そして　今は、年老いたおばあちゃん、、。
夫を信頼し、子を育て、今は孫家族とのだんらんを、楽しむ。
多くは夫をすでに失くしながら、差別に戸惑い、また、闘いながら、、、。
異国で、子や孫と生き抜く覚悟で、たくましく過ごしてきた日本人の女性。

”花嫁”と、呼ぶには、あまりにも過酷な生きざま、、。
その姿と言葉に　テレビ画面にくぎ付けになった。

「この国が自分の子供や孫たちが、胸を張って生きられる国家であるかどうか」
に、思いをはせる時でもある。

THE PRICE OF PEACE
If you live in Japan, you will notice that for many people, August is a special time to reflect on -- and regret -- the past.

August is filled with TV programs and newspaper articles about the last month of World War II. Inundated by the flood of news on the war, I sometimes feel as if I were living in the year 1945.

"Hiroshima was bombed yesterday; the Soviet Union will break the Neutrality Pact with Japan tomorrow; Nagasaki will be bombed the day after tomorrow; and we will surrender to the United Nations next week." Looking at the calendar, I always recall that summer. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII.
