その船長に、若田光一さん（４７歳）が、初のの日本人船長となる。
「食事は必ず全員で一緒にとる」など、日本の和の心を宇宙にも広げる。

トヨタ　国内で車生産へ

トヨタ自動者は、日本国内（宮城県）で車生産を約２０ぶりに始める。
円高や安い労賃を求め国外へ生産基地を移す企業の多い中、
“日本で育ち、日本と日本の産業発展に貢献したいとの我々のルーツを大切にした”とのトヨタの挑戦。
日の丸を背負うトヨタ・スピリッツ、さすが、世界のトヨタ。

大学は　職探しのの場か？

卒業式を喜んで迎える学生は、その３分の２に過ぎない。
不景気もあるが、就職ができない学生が1/3いるからだ。
３回生になって直ぐに就活という、今の慣習を改める策を、企業も大学も、そして国も考えなければならない。
海外留学にも躊躇し、バイトや職探しで、落ち着いて勉強もしない大学生は、企業はもちろん、国にとっても良いことではなかろう。

コマーシャル抜きの録画　不可能に

CMのない映画などをテレビ録画して楽しむことが　今後できなくなる。
民放テレビ会社の要請を受けて電器メーカーが、そうした機能のついたＴＶの製造を中止するからだ。
民放会社が「テレビコマーシャル企業が少なくなり、ＣＭ収入が減少し反対」しているのがその理由。
そうかな　～　。
確かに、コマーシャルがあれば、その間にトイレに行けるけどね。

人の皮膚から　赤ん坊が産まれる？

IPS細胞という怪物が、人と世界を変えることになるのか。
将来のノーベル賞が確実といわれるips（人工多能性幹細胞）を使い、ヒトの精子や卵子を作る研究がスタートする。
皮膚からの細胞で神経や筋肉をつくり、病気を治すだけにとどまらない「恐ろしい」研究。
クローン人間つくりまでは進まないようだが、科学研究には際限がない。

チョコレート　一番多くもらうのは？

女性から男性にチョコレートをバレンタインの日に贈り、そのお返しも期待する？という日本の奇習。
今年プレゼントしたい相手のトップテンをインターネット調査、それをアメリカのメデﾞｲアが伝える。
最近は「逆チョコ」もあり、対象は20代～ 30代の男女。
対象を最近元気なおばさん、おじさんも加えれば、リストは変わるかも。

大阪・高槻にある明治製菓が巨大な広告を演出。
ギネスブックにも申請したというチョコレート看板。
幅166メートル、高さ28メートルのプラスチック製で会社の外壁に。
阪急京都線やJR線から、11日からは夜もライトアップして、女性のハートに迫る。

ＮＨＫテレビの「クローズアップ現代」が、解決の見えないテーマを取り上げた。
高額な薬、がんの薬の効用論争が人を苦しめ、高齢化、健康保険料費の未納、増え続ける医療費補助が国家財政を窮地へ。
そしてチューブ装着で生き延びる10万人の人。
いずれ、あなたにも、私にも、、、。

携帯電話のＥメールという最新テクノロジ―に、江戸時代から続く大相撲が押し出されそう。
かねてからの八百長相撲が実証されたからだ。
８０年以上もの歴史を持つ日本相撲協会も、日本の国技という美名のもとに、国やＮＨＫの手厚い保護に甘えてきたが、これからどうなる。
「歴史に永く生き残れるのは、強いものでも頭のいいものでもなく、変化に対応できる者だ」

日本製の飛行機　アメリカを飛ぶ

戦後初めて飛行機の製造を昨年再開した日本。
アメリカの航空会社が国内専用に、三菱航空機製を最大100機購入することを決めた。
小型とはいえ、来年春には日本製飛行機がアメリカの空を飛ぶ。
燃費の良さなどが今回の契約決定となったが、メイド・イン・ジャパンの優秀な飛行機を、世界は見上げることになる。

「支持率が１％になっても、解散や辞職はしない」と、菅総理は言った。その言や良しである。
歴代の総理は、絶え間のない多くの世論調査という政敵に倒れる。
立場が変われば、与党も野党も主張は変わる。―“当然”？！―
日本の政治と世論調査に　アメリカのメデｨアが疑問を投げる。
どこか、世論調査に対する世論調査をやってみたら？

冬の酒粕　食品の優等生

酒造りの副産物・酒粕は、寒い冬、新酒の出回るこれからの絶好の食品。
ワインのように永い年月を必要とせず作られ、簡単に料理に加えられレシピの好脇役。発酵食品として健康にも良いスグレもの。
みりん、こめ酢など、日本の米の用途の広さと、その素晴らしさに気づく。

お水とり　明日から

「お水とり」が、奈良・東大寺二月堂で始まる。
陰暦２月に修する法会として「（しゅにえ）修二会」ともいわれ、現在は太陽暦の３月１日から３月１４日まで。
11人の僧侶による、毎年欠かさず続く今年は1260年目の水と火の修行。
「天下泰安、風雨順時、万民幸福」との、今の我々の願いとともに、春が来る。

日ごろから　足元を固めて　！

地震国でありながら、耐震対策が国内の他都市に比べ遅れていたとも言われるニュージランド・クライストチャーチ。
自信満々でスタートした菅・民主党政権。
ともに多くの人を寄せ付ける魅力はあったが、内側に入れば、足元も構造も、案外もろかったのかも、、、。
それにしても、こんな時に辞表を出さなくてもいいのに。
いやいや、ともに再生を期待しよう。

日本人犠牲者　生存は？

救出が続くニュージランド・クライストチャーチの地震。
今なお、100人以上もの人が倒壊したビルの中に閉じ込められているという。
いち早く、現地で救出や捜索にとりかかる日本人を、現地メデｨアが伝える。
同国最大の惨事といわれるが、看護学生や語学研修生という若い日本人の犠牲者が多いというのも悲惨。

今日２月２３日は、静岡県が定めた「富士山の日」で、同県下では学校は休みとか。
日付“2-2-3”を“ふ-じ-さん”と読む。
日本の象徴ともいわれ最高峰の山、世界遺産登録をめざす活火山。
皇太子の誕生日でもあり、いずれは、日本の象徴の日として、休日になる？！。

梅一輪ほどの　あたたかさ

各地の「梅だより」が、テレビや新聞で春の到来を告げる。
温かくなって咲き、短期間で一気に咲く桜もいいが、寒さの中で芽をふくらませ、より長く咲き続ける梅もいい。
別名を「春告草（はるつげくさ）」ともいうらしい。
「桜伐（き）る馬鹿、梅伐らぬ馬鹿」ともいい、管理には知恵もいる。
我が家の紅梅も、蝋梅（ロウバイ）に続いて「梅一輪、一輪ほどの温かさ」を見せはじめた。

花粉症も　国のセイ　？

天気予報より、花粉情報が気になる季節。
暖房用の木材が石油に代わり、戦後は、家屋用の木材として杉やヒノキが国策として植林された。
しかし、外国産木材にとって代わられ、伐採も用途も減少し、伸び放題。
おまけに、昨年の猛暑が「花粉を倍増生産」。
東京都や国は、今後花粉が少ない木や、「生物多様性」に対応する植樹を始める。
でも、そんな木が大きくなるのに、何年かかる？
