Firms milk desire among adults for 'baby formula'

Powdered milk, which was long considered a synonym for baby formula, is now available in a number of varieties intended for adult consumption.

Industry insiders said it is catching on mostly with middle-aged and elderly customers who were seeking handy ways to ingest deficient nutrients to maintain their health.

The move was pioneered by Kyushin Pharmaceutical Co., which released Powder Milk for Adults in April 2014. A box of seven bags of the yogurt-flavored product is available for 1,600 yen ($15), excluding tax.

増え続ける 家庭の電話使用料

昨年の一家庭の電話使用料金の年間平均が約12万2,000円で、家計費の4,18％を占めると、総務省が発表。
固定（地上）電話の使用料は約2,000円下がる一方、携帯端末（電話・スマホ等）の料金は約4,000円あがり約10万円に。
2000年に調査を始めて以来、固定電話料金は下がり続け、携帯電話料金は上がり続けている。
2000年には、家計に占める電話使用料金の割合は、約2.7％だった。
携帯端末（モバイル）による使用料金の上昇は、スマートホンへの移行が大きい。
情報を集めたり、音楽を聞いたり、また、ビデオを楽しんだりの「電信料」の増加が、こうした結果となっている。

Japanese households spent record amount on phone bills in 2017: gov't survey
The average landline and cellphone bill for Japanese households was 122,207 yen in 2017, accounting for a record 4.18 percent of household expenses, a Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications survey found.

According to the ministry's Family Income and Expenditure Survey, the average spent on landlines per household in 2017 was 21,957 yen, falling 2,129 yen from the previous year while cellphone fees rose 3,944 yen to an average of 100,250 yen per household. Since the government began recording the information in 2000, it can be said that landline expenses have fallen, but mobile phone bills are on the rise. In 2000, the amount spent on phone communication fees only accounted for 2.68 percent of household expenses.

文科省「圧力」に 市教委「ひるまず」

名古屋市の教育委員会や同市立中学校が、文科省の子供じみた問い合わせに、大人の対応、やんわりハネツケた。
前川喜平・前文部科学事務次官が名古屋市立の中学校で総合学習の講師を務めた問題。
これに、文科省が同氏の講演料や参加者の反応、それに「文科省を辞めた理由を知っているか」と聞いた。
これらの問いに、
天下り問題については「文科省ひいては国家公務員全体の問題であると認識」、出会い系バーには「バー云々については、良心的な目的であったことが報道されてい」ると反論。
録音データの提供は「拒否。
講演参加者の反応は「すべてポジティブな反応ばかり」。
また、「辞任されたこと以上のことは知りません」と、ゼロ回答。

Ministry officials skittish after Abe critic gives lecture at school
Education ministry officials contacted the Nagoya education board to slam the character of a guest lecturer who has criticized the Abe administration and to seek details about what the speaker said to impressionable minds.

Kihei Maekawa, a former administrative vice education minister, gave the lecture at a Nagoya junior high school in February as part of the school’s “comprehensive learning” course.

Nagoya board of education officials also said they never felt the ministry was interfering.

The principal of the junior high school where the lecture was given said, “It was only part of the comprehensive learning that the education ministry has said was needed for a more open educational system.”

メス鶏鳴いて 国滅ぶ

中国の故事に「「雌鳥歌えば国滅ぶ」というのがある。
メス鶏が雄鶏を出し抜いて、口出しするのは、家（族）や国の摂理に反する、との例え。
妻が夫を出し抜いて権勢をふるうような家や国はうまくゆかない、という古い言葉。

・・・「女性の活躍する社会」と真逆、なんかではなく、（自分の能力はたいして何もないのに）「夫を出し抜く」のを戒める譬え。

日本で世界で、自分の主人が大活躍していることを、心で・大声で鳴き叫ぶ自負心で充分ではないの？
それとも、主人に頼まれて、ノコノコ森友サンまで出かけたの？
日本人の精神を復活させるとの森友学園の創設趣旨とも違うのでは？
「国を興した君は、国を滅ぼした君でもある」との芥川龍之介の言葉も思いだした。

津波後7年 塀の内の不安

罪を犯した者は、有罪か無罪かを分ける刑務所の塀の上を歩く、どちら側に落ちるか不安にかられながれら、、。
岩手県陸前高田の漁師も、7年前の大津波「東北大震災」の津波後に建てられた高さ12，5メートルの塀の内側の「安全」地帯に住むものの、やはり不安、、。
仲間の2,000人近くの命を奪われ、自身の生活も「これから大丈夫だろうか」と。
これまでの高さ4.0メールより高くなっているとはいえ、ここ地震国には、「絶対安全」はナイ。
・・・・・この塀の延長395キロ（東京から、直線で神戸まで）、建設費1兆3,500億円。
かくして、海岸沿いの漁村は、塀の内側にある町となった、はたして、しあわせな町や村になれるのか,,,.



7 years after tsunami, Japanese live uneasily with seawalls
When a massive earthquake struck in 2011, Japanese oyster fisherman Atsushi Fujita was working as usual by the sea. Soon after, a huge black wave slammed into his city and killed nearly 2,000 people.

Seven years on, Fujita and thousands like him along Japan's northeast coast have rebuilt their lives alongside huge sea walls that experts say will protect them if another giant tsunami, which some see as inevitable in a seismically active nation like Japan, was to strike.
The 12.5-meter concrete wall replaced a 4-meter breakwater that was swamped in the March 11, 2011 disaster.～

子ども虐待 犠牲者最多に

昨年（2017年）の子供虐待と思われる件数が、65,000件と過去最多を記録した。
警察庁の発表。
子どもセンタ―への、17歳以下のこの件数は、前年より約20％の増加で、2014年に統計を取り始めて以来13年連続の増加。
本件への地方での感心が、今回の件数の増に結びついているとされる。
言葉による「虐待」が約70％の46,000件で、さらにそのうちの60％以上が暴力を伴って、とされている。
それも、両親から、、。
・・・・・・子どもの人権、と大上段に構える気はないが、、。
・・・幼い頃の小さな子どもの日々の成長を、慈しみ悪戦苦闘してきたからこそ、我が子が成人して苦労する姿や、喜ぶ姿を「わがもの」として、ともに人生をおくる、、それが家族。
そういう日本の家族は、どこへ行った、、、？



Suspected child abuse victims top 65,000 in 2017
The number of children suspected to have been abused in Japan in 2017 topped 65,000 in 2017, hitting another record high, police data showed Thursday.

Police referred 65,431 suspected abuse victims under 18 to child consultation centers, up about 20 percent from the previous year. The total rose for the 13th straight year since the statistics began in 2004, according to the National Policy Agency data.

“The growing public awareness of child abuse apparently
led to an increase in reports from local communities,” an NPA official said.

一旦終わったかに思えた「森友学園への国有地不当価格売却」を、朝日新聞が再び取り上げた。
国会で「廃棄してナイ」と答弁された「記録があった」と。
、、、、しかも、原文書を書き換えて？
「あったものはないとは言えない」、、いつか聞いた言葉が復活？
だが、財務省は「それは＜記録＞ではない」と国会で答弁。
、、、安部首相やその夫人が「安くして」と、言ったとは思わないが、、。
所管の財務大臣は、「捜査に影響を与えるかについて予測しがたいため、答弁を差し控える」と答弁。
まるで、禅問答。
「忖度」間違いの、日本の官僚のトップと言われる財務省の体たらく、、。
部下を処罰するのもトップの仕事。
官僚組織は、それで再活性化する、さてさて、どうなることやら、、。




Gov't silent on alleged doctoring of Abe-linked land sale records
The government on Friday refused to comment on a newspaper report that it falsified a document related to the heavily discounted sale of state land to a school operator linked to Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's wife.

Finance Minister Taro Aso declined to address the report in The Asahi Shimbun on Friday that said his ministry altered the document on the land sale to Moritomo Gakuen after the scandal came to light in February last year, saying he could not comment while prosecutors' investigations into the case were ongoing.

The dubious transaction involved state-owned land in Osaka Prefecture that was sold to Moritomo Gakuen in 2016 for around 134 million yen ($1.3 million), much less than its appraised value of 956 million yen.
