‘We need all the prayers we can get’: Husband, 78, continues search for kidney for his wife of 57 years
Larry Swilling, 78, a dedicated husband living in South Carolina has been fighting to find a kidney for his wife of 57 years, marching up and down the streets of Anderson with a sandwich board begging anyone with a lead to call him.

生まれつき腎臓が一つしかない女性のその腎臓が弱ってきており透析で、生き延びている。生きた人の腎臓を移植すれば、助かる率はたかい。しかし、自分の腎臓も子供たちの腎臓も妻とは血液型が異なる、そこで、「妻のために腎臓が必要です!」と書いた広告をサンドイッチマンのようにして歩いて、ボランティアを募集している、という話が全世界を駆け巡っている、と。

A dedicated husband in South Carolina has been fighting to find a kidney for his wife of 57 years, marching up and down the streets of Anderson with a sandwich board begging anyone with a lead to call him.
"I'm 78 years old, but I still work, I still have to," Swilling explained, citing the overwhelming costs of Jimmie Sue's medications. "We're just hoping every day, every minute, we get the call to head to Charleston for a transplant."
