開設費用の入金
口座開設費用が入金されないと口座自身の開設ができない。ところが開設したHSBCの口座からの送金ができないとは...困ったことになった。無論、日本から送金しても構わないのだが、オフショア->オフショアというのが趣旨なのでこの手での入金はちと癪に障る。早速、HSBCにログオン、現在の送金可能ステータスと見ると。あっ。設定されてない。(つまりゼロ) この時、もっと詳しく調べてみる必要があったのだが、もともと証券会社<->HSBC以外の送金を考慮していなかったので、特になにもしなかった。開設費用だけを他から入金して、その後はHSBCからPaybill機能を使ってBoomへの送金をしようと思っていた。
仕方ないので、アビーからの入金をする。やはりこんなときには便利だ。Transfer を選択し、Overseas、HSBCのBoomの口座を指定し、とりあえず１万HKドル送金してみる。送金はすぐに終了。....と何か忘れているような。とりあえず、先ほどのメールに書いてあった通り、アビーからの送金Receiptをプリンタで印刷し、'New Account'と記入した上で、送金した旨を英語で書いておく。そしてFax。これでよし。 Faxし終わって何を忘れているかを考えてみると......あっ。送金時にReferenceの欄に自分の名前とか書いておくのを忘れていた。先ほどのメールにも
a) Make sure you include your full name on the deposit payment details;
と書いてあった。銀行によっては送金人の情報が入らないケースがあり、送金するときにはReferenceを付け加える必要がある。アビーの場合、どちらか非常に不安になる。とにかくアビーのCustomer Serviceに電話。以下がそのやり取り(英語です)
オペレータ: カスタマーサービスです。
私 : もしもし、さきほどインターネットで送金したものですが。送金時に
Referenceを付け加えるのを忘れてしまったのですが、modifyできますか。
オペレータ: できません。
私 : ....(あまりにもきっぱり言われたので数秒の沈黙)
そ、そうすると受け取った人間が誰からの入金か分からないのでは
オペレータ: Referenceがなくても送金人の名前は分かるようになっています。
私 : (ほっとして) そうですか。それならいいです。ありがとう。
安心して電話を切ったが、よく考えるとアビーの口座内とかUK国内の話なのでは? もしかして海外送金の場合は..とまた不安になるが、ここはアビーを信じてBoomに念の為にメールを送る。以下がそのメール。

fee. I have also faxed you a copy of receipt with my signiture.
The money will be sent to your HSBC a/c through Abbey National
International.
With regards to this, I am bit worry about moeny remittance.
I have fogotten to put my name at reference infomation.
(Just I put New a/c opening fee) And you might have difficulties
to confirm the money from ME. I asked Abbey's customer center and
they have said I could not modify reference info after execution.
But they also said the person who received the moeny can identify me.
I think you will receive the moeny within 2-3 business days. If you
have any difficulites to identify, please let me know.

receipt. We will awaits 2 to 3 days for the funds to arrive. Also we will
able to identify it. Once we have receive the funds, we will get you notify. If case if we haven't receive the funds after 3 days, we will contact you immediately.
