今日は久しぶりのライブ（5月19日以来）。そして久しぶりの四谷ダイヤモンドクラブ。
ここしばらく、ちょっと仕事が忙しかったのと、自分なりにライブの仕分け？をやって、ライブに行く回数をへらしていたのです。仕事がひと区切りついたので、ちょっと息抜きに・・・とライブスケジュールを見て・・・萱原恵衣さんと小池純子さんのデュオライブで癒してもらうことに。
ここ2週間ほど歯茎がうずいて痛くて痛くて仕方がない状態で、この日も日中はずぅーっとシクシク痛かったのですが、お店に入りライブを聞いている間は痛みが無かった。お二人の癒しの効果なのかぁ！驚きです。

店にはいつもの常連さん、そしてこの日は久しぶりに「みっちゃん」がきていて、サッチモばりの歌声を披露してくれましたぁ。

この日も恵衣さんの選曲に、初めて聴く曲があり、またまた勉強になりましたねぇ。
ライブも休憩の間の会話もとても楽しいライブでのひとときで癒していただきました。
4th-set前に、小池さんが「なんだか体がかゆいんです」「私このかゆみがでると、かならず何か起きるんですよぉ」とおっしゃるので、「また大地震でもくるんですかねぇ・・」と心配。
帰りはいつものように小池さんと副都心線～田園都市線に乗って一緒にかえりました。

ちなみに、そのあと深夜25時に久しぶりに、携帯に緊急地震速報が流れ福島で地震がありましたぁ。（小池さんの反応はスゴイのだぁ）

♪On the street where you live　邦題：君住む街角　1956
作詞：アラン・ジェイ・ラーナー　Alan Jay Lerner
作曲：フレデリック・ロウ　Frederick Loewe

１９５６年のミュージカル『マイ・フェア・レディ』に挿入され、その中ではマイケル・キングが歌いました。
１９５７年に男性シンガーのヴィック・ダモンが歌ってヒットしました。
また、１９６４年に作られた、このミュージカルの映画版『マイ・フェア・レディ』では、ジェレミー・ブレットが歌いました。
そして数多くのシンガーが歌い、現在はスタンダード・ナンバーになっています。
『マイ・フェア・レディ』はバーナード・ショー原作の『Pygmalion』をミュージカル化したもので、ハンガリー人の映画プロデューサーのガブリエル・パスカルが最初に企画しました。
そして、リチャード・ロジャースとオスカー・ハマースタイン、ノエル・カワード、コール・ポーター、レナード・バーンスタインほか、多くのミュージカル作曲家にあたりますが、全て断られたあげくに、パスカルが亡くなってしまいました。
結局、アラン・ジェイ・ラーナーとフレデリック・ロウのコンビで、４年の歳月をかけて完成されましたが、公演間近になりリハーサルも終わりに近づいた段階になっても題名が決まらず、このミュージカルは最後の最後まで難航したということです。
題名の候補には最初にこの「マイ・フェア・レディ」があがりましたが、ロンドン橋の歌にも使われているように「古臭い」というイメージがあり没になりました。
ほかにいくつか候補があがりますが、どれもいまひとつというもので決定打はありませんでした。
そのうちにトライアウトが目前にせまり、新聞広告には題名なしで出すことになってしまい、プロデューサーのハーマン・レヴィンが、いい加減に題名を決めてくれとせまったために、ラーナーが仕方なく「とりあえずこれでいこう」と言い『マイ・フェア・レディ』になったと言います。
そんな、いきさつから、このミュージカルには普通なら必ず入っているタイトル・ソングというものがありません。
つまり、「マイ・フェア・レディ」という曲は作ることができませんでた。
タイトル・ソングのない、実にまれなミュージカルになったということです。
しかし、このミュージカルは２７１７回という超ロングランを記録して、大成功を収め、その中から、この曲をはじめ、多くの曲がヒットして有名になりました。
尚、この曲には、長いヴァースが付いています。
