今日ははじめてのJazzスポット、目黒Jay-J's cafeで4月以来のチコ本田さんのヴォーカルを聴きに。
お店は新しいようで、きれいなお店でした。
以前のレポートでも書きましたが、チコ本田さんは渡辺三兄弟のひとりで、兄に渡辺貞夫(as)、弟に渡辺文男(dr)、そして夫が本田竹広(pf)、息子が本田珠也(dr)なのです。
お客はチコさんの常連の女性3人と会社員風の男性3人連れ。
この日はチコさんちょっと風邪を召されていたようで、1stの最初のほうはちょっと声が出づらかったようでしたが、少しずつテンションがあがるにつれいつもの熱いヴォーカルに。
休憩のときに常連さんたちとの会話の中で、「私は人生を3倍も4倍も生きたように思う・・・」との話が漏れ聞こえてきましたが、まさにチコさんの歌は、これまでの人生を振り返りかみ締めるように歌いきる。喜び、哀しみ、怒り、楽しみを歌に込め、魂を震わせて歌っているのです。そのバイブレーションに聴衆も皆共鳴するような感じがします。
ロック調の曲を聴いていると、あの「ジャニス・ジョプリン」とオーバーラップしてなんとなくにているなぁと思ったのですが・・・。
来月も荻窪ルースターや西荻窪アケタの店でライブがあるので、聞きたい方はいってみてはいかが？（アケタの店のライブは、ライブ録音をされるようです）
