Every end of the school year, we have what we call happyoukai.
Its the opportunity for us to show the parents what the kids have been learning throughout the year.
This year's happyoukai had become a special one because it was my last happyoukai at JSE.
I had worked here for 3 and half years and this year, the age of 26- the C.h.a.n.g.e was about to happen in my life, well i decided to backback around the world. :)
ANyways, the kids did a great job, we had plays, dances and singing, we did have a technical difficulty in the middle of the happyoukai- but it turned out Okay!
It was my turn to give a speech "farewell speech" and of course, i cried. a lot. ufufufu
great job, kids! i love you so much.

教育の仕事で一番うれしいことは
生徒からの良い報告。
The happiest moment in this education field is
a good news from students.
やっぱり合格の報告は
一番嬉しいね。
and of course, "I passed!" is the news I wanna hear the most.
前に働いていた塾で受け持っていた中学2年生の子たちも今年はすでに受験生で高校に全員受かったという知らせをうけ、今日祝賀会にいってきました☆☆
Today I went to a JUKU i used to work before to celebrate the 3 nensei (9th graders who passed the entering exam for high school). I used to teach them English when they were in 8th grades.
私が来ることをしらなかった子はとっても驚いていて、でも挨拶のときに嬉しいことをいってくれましたよ。
some kids didnt know that I was going to be there and they were so happy to see me.
「私はもともと高校に行く気はぜんぜんなかったんだけど、dazu先生にいろいろいわれて、行こうって決めて勉強がんばりました。」だって。
One of the student said as a "Thank you greeting for teachers"
"At first, i never wanted to go to high school at all but when Azusa came to our school and started to teach us, she gave me lots of advice and i decided to go to high school"
涙をこらえたぜぃ。
I almost cried, but i saved my tears for my preschool last day.
preschool の発表会とお別れ遠足では
絶対に泣くことはわかっているので
（笑）
まだsentimentalになる必要はありません。
これからも目標をもって高校にいっても
楽しく勉強をしてほしい。
そして、贅沢を言わしてもらうと
だいぶ後になってからでいいから
留学してほしいな。
私が教えた英語の楽しさを
コミュニケーションの楽しさを
自分で感じてほしいな。
I want them to....

and... if i could say one more...
i want them to go oversea and experience communicating in english with other people.
Because language is a way of communication and if you dont use it, you really cant feel the importance of studying the foreign languages.

発表会の練習が始まります。
歌、踊り、本読み、劇と

So kids, are you ready, Our practice will start tomorrow,
well actually we have started today but tomorrow we are actually going to sing everything and we will actually give each part and everything.
This month and next month is going to be busy as hell- but crazy busy is nicer than being so freakin bored I hate to be bored at work- so i have to be doing something all the time- :)
well the practice will BE hard we know it because its Me DAZU and Xanderman teaching the class and we want it to be perfect :)
We will not let any lazyness as far as this practice goes we have to be pretty serious and we are in this together.
This year our songs are pretty cool- we decided all the songs today and we think itll be really awesome!!!!!!!!
Kids will do their best job and I know that ill be so proud of them becaue because because I just love them so much.
They are like my sisters and brothers- and my students- but i feel like they are my family :)

ピンク色の冊子で、ロシア語版。
いやーこれはラッキー！
ロシア語の教材なんて そう簡単に手に入らないぞ
本屋で買うか日本の大学でロシア語の授業をとるか
でも実際自分からそんなことできないし
無料でこれが手にはいったなんて
やっぱり2009年は語学学習の年に違いない。
中国語 スペイン語に加え
ロシア語も勉強することにします。笑
もちろん ただフレーズを覚えるだけです。

On Jan 31st we will host a woman from Georgia!!
Its our first time to host someone- i hope she will have a great experience with us.
although we arent the typical japanese family....

I got a little pink booklet from JICA today- this has a list of the words and phrases in Russian and japanese translation.

in our school kids are getting so good at tidying up everything- toys,books, even pencils- it is after I labeled almost everything possible around school. Kids do love to keep their own things but if they dont have a place to, they dont take care of their belongings.
So i put stickers with their names on their print binders- sorted the shelfs by the kind of story books, by colors, by levels- then kids learend to tidy up really naturally.
Then my question is WHY CAN I MANAGE TO CLEAN MY OWN ROOM IN MY HOUSE?

"Rudolf the red nosed reindeer"
And for the first time this year, I realized something interesting...

WE NEVER LEARNED THE FIRST PART OF THIS SONG!!!Japanese version of this song starts with "Makka na ohana no Tonakai san wa itsumo min na no waraimono" which means One reindeer who had a red nose was always made fun of by everyone.... which is the translation of
"Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer had a very shiny nose."In Japanese lyrics they don't even mention about his name, Rudolf, they just say
"Mr. Reindeer"awwwww..
This was the most surprising news of the year for me.
The fact that I have been singing this song for 25 years and noone ever told me that this song was about
of reindeers.So now i know when I have my kids, I will sing them both versions to see which one they like. haha

I took Spanish class when I was in university but after coming back to Japan I tried studying Spanish just to rememeber so someday it might be useful.. and its wasting to forget what I learned, right ??

Therefore it is more difficult to find good materials for a Spanish Study....
Since Im an English teacher for little children i come up with many lesson plans regarding to the purpose of a study.
AS for me, i have to practice reading first since im not even used to read Spanish. However...
websites are hard to understand, newspapers are too hard, and I thought, oh, what about
Kids storybooks?!
And I got this book called
CUIDADO un DINOSAURIO
Its a very good way to leep up with a lanuage, reading a picture book because it is easy and doesnt take so much time.
ill keep reading, and ill keep looking online if there are any other good spanish kids books

子どもの成長（心身ともに）は、早い。コップに水を少しずつ注ぐようなものだって思ってもらえれば、わかりやすいと思う。「環境」は子どもが成長するにあたってとっても重要で、どういう環境で育つか、どういう人間と一緒に過ごすかで将来も変わってくると思う。
他人の子どもを客観的に見れる時は、他の子供と比べることもなく「みんな違う人間」と落ち着いて観察できるけど、それがいざ自分の子供のことになると
「なぜＯＯは話せるのに1ヶ月早いうちの子はまだ話さないんだろう」とか「なぜＯＯはもう字がかけるのにうちの子は書くことに興味がないんだろう」などと比べてしまう。もちろん自分の子だから、感情的になることは仕方がないんだけどそれはほとんどの場合が「自分に対しての不満」だったりする。
子供は自分を鏡で映した姿だって言う人もいて、教えたつもりないのにしぐさや発言が自分に驚くほど似ていたり、髪の毛の質や足の形やまばたきの仕方まで似てる！っていう時がある。
しかし、子供は一人では作られていないわけで、必ず父親のＤＮＡも受け継いでいて、「こんな風にはなってほしくないのに
」とか「私とここ全然似てない！」っと思うようなことも遺伝しているはず。成長の過程では こうなってほしいやら こうなってほしくないやら
色々思ってしまうんだけど、遅いようにみえても、間違いなく子供は成長しているのです。
コップの水がいつ溢れ出すかは人によっても時期が違うし
そしてコップの大きさも人によって違う。
水を貯める期間が長い子もいるだろう。
そしてたまっては溢れ、また空っぽになる子もいるだろう。
でも重要な事は
本人をSPECIAL and ONLY ONE としてみてあげること。
他の誰でもない、あなたはあなた。
そして、誰とも比べないし
1番！って信じてたら絶対に成長を感じることができる日がくる。
大切なのは 忍耐強く毎日見守ることです
私の父と母は それをしてくれました。
体も弱く勉強も超遅れてました。
でもいいところを見ようとしてくれ、私が私であることをほめてくれ、愛してくれ毎日毎日好きだよといって 抱きしめてくれ
だから今の私がいるとおもうし、自分の生徒たちを無条件で愛することができるんだと思う。人は、愛されないと愛せないもんなー
I studied Child Development for 4 years in university. "There are so many things that books didn't teach me"I've felt that billion times during my 3 years of working as a Preschool teacher
I think how childen grow could be expressed as water in a glass. When a child is born, you start poring the water in a glass. The glass could be a huge one or a small one depends on the kid. Sometimes it takes ages to fill up. Whatever a child does, there is a process. Writing Skills, SPeaking Skills, Potty Training, all these things are parens' concern and challenges but no matter how much you try to rush your child to complete the process, it will not happen. You simply have to wait, wait, wait and be patient until a child is ready to do it on his/her pace.
As a teacher I can look and observe the child as one individual and pass the fair judgment without comparing with other children. However when it comes to your own child, it becomes completely difficult! You compare with friends, cousins, or other siblings even though you know you shouldnt.
Of course you love your kids and you want them to be No.1 and be good at many things. I heard what parents think how they want their children to be is a selfish thought and maybe it is because they have some regrets or grief in their childhood memory. No matter how much you wish to creat your own kids to 1. Bilingual 2. Super athlete, 3.Intelligent 4.Talented musician 5. Movie star
Your child has hald of your DNA and his/her father's DNA. Youll be surprised to see how similar he acts with you or you just cant stand his habits that he got from his father
Most important thing regarding to Child Development on my thought is
To be patient, to accept and love who they are, not how different they are from others, and wait until they are ready for the action but Be Ready always so you can give the best enviroment to your child
That's what my mom and dad did to me as I grew up. I was never a smart one, or a healthy one. But they always made sure that Im loved and cared for and it was ok for me to be who I am because that it why They love me.
That's why I can love my students unconditionally.
