It counterargued against a protest by the Chinese embassy against Japanese ambassador to the Philippines Endo Kazuya, who posted that "harassment that strains the situation is unacceptable" in response that a Philippine ship heading for Sabina Reef in the South China Sea was rammed and fired water cannon by a China Coast Guard vessel.
The Japanese Embassy's statement emphasized that Japan has procured most of its resources and energy through maritime transport, and is therefore a country with a vested interest in the South China Sea.

S. Korea, fake sexual images and footages have been created one after another by using generative artificial intelligence (AI), and damages of teenage girls are becoming more and more serious.
The highly confidential communication app "Telegram" is allegedly used to "create" & "disseminate" them. According to mass media in S. Korea, 220,000 persons participate in the Telegram channel.
Many of the perpetrators are also in their teens, and the damage is spreading throughout the country. The government is therefore in a hurry to take counter-measures.

At a countermeasures meeting on the 30th, the government decided to proceed legal revise in order to punish not only conventional distribution, but also possession & viewing them.

According to mass media in S. Korea, the Telegram channel contains an automated program in order to create females' fake images.
By inputting a photo of a female and paying cryptocurrency, nude images & footagess are created.
There are even chat rooms for sharing fake images by region or school.
Fears have been spreading that "I or my acquaintances may have become victims without realizing it."
According to the National Police Agency, there were 180 crimes related to fake images in the past year, but by July this year, that number had reached 297.
