聖一国師のことば

未だ道を得ざるに、

一時坐禅すれば一時の仏なり 

一日坐禅すれば一日の仏なり

一生坐禅すれば一生の仏なり

経、陀羅尼と云うは文字にあらず一切衆生の本心なり

For those who have not reached enlightenment yet,

If they do Zazen for a moment, they can be Buddha of a moment. 

If they do Zazen all day, they can be Buddha of a day. 

If they do Zazen throughout his life, they can be Buddha of a lifetime. 

The sutras or Daranis are the true heart of all beings, not the words.
