自閉症の子どもを持つ二人のお母さん -Two Mothers Who Have Kids with Autisum-

太陽工房 障害者就労支援事業部職員の管理人は、

いろんな障がいを持つ方と出会うことになります。

私自身のこれまでを考えてみると、夫が車いすユーザーであったからか

周りにいろんな障害をもった方々がいて、それは私には自然なことでした。

また、夫の仕事も精神障害者の方々に係わる仕事だったので、自宅にも精神のメンバー

が遊びに来てましたし、ご飯も一緒に食べてました。

ある時帰りぎわに、おにぎりを作ってあげようと思い、何個もっていくと聞いたら

「２つ」と言ったので、「足りないでしょう」と答えると

いえ、「２合の意味です」と返ってきたので、みんなで大笑いしたことがありました

また以前北関東に住んでたことがあり

その当時(17年前)には珍しい鉄格子のない精神病院がその地域にはありました。

そこのワーカーの方を知っていたので病院を見学することになり、

夫も車いすだったので私もよくくっついて、いろんなところに見学に行っていて、

その病院にも娘を連れて見学にいきました。

ちょうどその日は娘の誕生日。今も思い出すと面白いですが、

娘が3歳の誕生日には精神病院の閉鎖病棟や開放病棟など

一緒に見学して、患者さんたちや職員の方たちに「おめでとう」と

言っていただいたことは良い思い出です。

そうそう、我が家の犬も連れていきましたが、さすがに犬は見学できません。

そこには病院が経営する喫茶店があり、そこでスタッフが犬の面倒をみてくれて

おまけに焼きそば１パックもらってペロッと食べていました。

思い出はきりないですね。


生活の中で友人としていろいろな障害を持つ方々に接してきましたが

仕事として係わるのは初めてです。

いろんな当事者や家族の方々の声を聴いて学び、

よりよいサービスの提供ができるように努力したいです。

以前からお二人とは知り合いで、自閉症のお子さんのことについては

知ってはいたけれど話したことがなかったので、

今回いろいろお話を聴く機会をいただいたわけです。

一人は多動で元気、もう一人は逆に静かでじっとしている、

言葉もあまり出ない子だそうです。

お二人ともに子どもの定期検診の時にわかり、

その後揺れる心(違うんじゃないか、いややっぱりそうだ)

を抱えながらも、いろんな機関や施設を巡るなかで同じような障害のある

お子さん達と出会い、徐々に受け入れることができたと話してました。

それでも、なかなか受け入れられないお母さんたちもいたそうです。

受け入れるには人それぞれ時がありますね。

ちなみに二人のお父さん達も、一緒に施設等に行くなか(迎えに来て)で同じように納得していったそうです。

その後は子の成長の中で必要な環境を整えていくように考えながら接していたようですが

すごく熱心というわけでもなかった、でも、お母さんたちの口コミ情報で

いろんな施設やサービスを知ることができ、利用してきたとのことです。

1人のお母さんは、ショートステイを利用するために以前は約2時間くらいかけて

その施設を利用していたそうです。最初は1日から始め、2日3日と増やしながら練習して

その後1週間利用することができるようになったそうです。最初大変だったけれど

利用できるようになって、家族がゆっくりする時間がとれてお互いのために

よかったと話されてました。何故、そこまで行ったのか問うと、

お母さんたちの評判がよく、子供たちのことを理解して

安心して預けられたとのことでした。

お二人のお子さんは今は、養護学校を卒業しそれぞれに社会福祉施設の中で毎日

楽しんでいるようです。


今後のことを聞くと、やはり親なきあとの問題を挙げておられました。

これは、どんな障害であろうと親御さんにとっては心配ですね。

しかし、ここ数年は社会資源も多くなりいろいろ選べるようになったのが

嬉しいと笑顔でした。

Think about myself, until now, since my husband is a wheelchair user, it is natural to have people with different kinds of disabilities around me. Plus, my husband’s work is concerned about the people with mental disorders, the members came over to our house and had meals together. One day, when the members were leaving, I thought to make some rice balls, so I asked “how many do you want?” They said “2,” so I said it isn’t enough is it? They said that they meant “2 cups!” Everyone there laughed. Before, we had lived in North Kanto region, there was psychiatric hospital without grilles (17 years ago), which was rare. I’ve known a worker there, so we decided to take a look at the stuff inside the hospital, my husband was using a wheelchair, I often went out with him and looked many kinds of places, we took our daughter to the hospital too, to take a look around. On that day was my daughter’s birthday. It’s funny to remember now, it’s a good memory that to be said “congratulations” by the patients and the staff in the closed and opened wards of psychiatric hospital at the 3 years birthday of our daughter. Oh, we took our dog, but the dog couldn’t come with us to take a look at the hospital. There was a café run by the hospital, the staff there took care of our dog, and they gave our dog a pack of Yakisoba, the dog ate it up easily. Recollection is endless.

I’ve been having relationships with people with disabilities in my daily life, but this is the first time to meet people with disabilities as a work. I would like to make an effort to offer better services, by learning from the messages of the people who are involved and their families. Two of them are friends of mine, and I know about their kids who are with autism, but we have never talked about it before, so I got the chance to listen to their stories. One of the kids is hyperactive and energetic, and the other is oppositely silent and doesn’t talk too much. Both of the parents are noticed that the kids have autism by the regular medical checkups, from then they conflicted with the ideas of “It might be wrong.”, and “Yes, it’s maybe right.”, and their hearts waved between those ideas, however, even though, by meeting some kids with autism through traveling several organizations and institutions, they could accept a little by little that their kids are autism. Even though, there were mothers who couldn’t accept it at all. It takes time and depends on a person to accept it. In addition, their father could understand by degrees as well by traveling those kinds of places. From then, not devoted, but treat them by thinking carefully to prepare the environment required, and used welfare facilities and services that are known by the mothers’ reviews. One mother took about two hours to use the facility for a short stay. For the starter, begin with one day in a week, and increased to two days, to three days, by practicing she finally became to use it for a week. At first, it was tough, but she could become to use the service, it was great for each of her and her family because the family could have a relaxing time. I asked “Why could you go to that point?”, she answered mothers’ reviews were awesome and they understand our kids very much, so I thought I could let them take care of our kids safely. Two kids of them now are graduated from the special education school, and enjoying their lives at social welfare facilities.

Asked about the future, they raised about the issues after their parents were passed away. This must be the difficult issue for anyone to decide. However, they looked happy because there are a lot of the social resources to choose. Thank you two very much for talking so kindly and with smiles.

ケト土が入っているので乾燥しにくいですが

やはり冬場などは暖房を入れるので乾燥してきます。

there is keto soil inside so it won't dry easily, but if you use heater in the winter it gets dried.

ケト土は乾燥するとカチカチになりますから注意してください。

まあ、カチカチになるのはよっぽどのことですが。
If Keto soil dried it becomes harder, so be careful.

苔の状態を見ながら、乾いたら霧吹きで水をシュツシュツと振りかけるか

容器に水をためてその中にポチャンと浸けて、しばらく置く(少し水が土に染み込むように)

それでもめんどくさい方は、水道の水をジャーと流してかけてあげても大丈夫です。

要するに苔玉が、カラカラにならないようにしてあげることがポイントです。

”べてるの家”をご存じですか？

精神障がい者福祉関係の方々はよくご存じだと思います。

北海道の浦河町にある、精神障害を抱えた当事者の地域活動拠点です。

ここで説明するよりも、ＨＰに詳しく掲載されていますのでそちらをご覧ください

「べてるの家の講演会」数年前から毎年ウエスレヤン大学の西山ホールで開催されています。

主催：ＮＰＯ法人ウエスレヤン・コミュニティカレッジ、べてるｉｎ諫早２０１４実行委員会

後援：長崎県県央保健所、諫早市精神障害者家族会

また諫早だけではなく、長崎大学医学部での講義など何か所かで行われることもあります。

毎回違うメンバーとスタッフが来てくださり、その時々でテーマに沿ったお話の中に

いろんな気づきの”種”を拾える講演会です。

今回は２部形式

１部は　「地域生活支援のいま、これから」
　
この１部は、大村市の地域活動所「アトリエぽれぽれ 」の方々と

大村市社会福祉協議会生活支援センター「ラム」のソーシャルワーカー吉田さんがシンポジストになり

当事者、地域活動所の運営者、ソーシャルワーカーそれぞれの立場からの意見が

出されました。

印象に残った部分を少し拾うと、Ｈ２５年より福祉制度が障害者総合支援法となり

今後の相談支援をどのようにやってゆくのか考えると、

サービス利用者の意見がより反映されるようになったので

これからは当事者の発言力が必要になってくる。

困ってることや悩み、今後の希望など伝える力が必要になり、またスタッフや専門家は

それをキャッチする力がより求められてくるだろう。

また、これまでのように福祉制度だけでサポートしてゆくのでなく、制度としてのサービス

制度外のサービスをも考えながらより地域の中で包括的に利用者の希望に沿うように

利用者主体のプランを提供できるように努めたい

というお話でした。(本当に簡単にまとめてすみません、さらに間違っていたらすみません)

地域力というものが試されますね。

２部が　「コミュニティー支援、べてる式。」


浦河ひがし町診療所のソーシャルワーカー　高田大志さん

べてるのメンバー２名、柳さん　秋山さんによるお話でした。

新しい診療所の話、毎年８月に行われるべてる祭りなどを映像で紹介されました。

べてるの家の特徴はたくさんありますが、

その中でも当事者研究が有名ですね

今回はメンバーの柳さんの運のない、ついてない男の話で会場を沸かせていました。

しかし最後のまとめでは、ご自分で気づいたことやあきらめ？たことなど

をしっかりまとめていました。

柳さん自身は引きこもり気味で、あまりべてるにも顔を出さないと言ってましたが、

今は、勇気と希望を与えるピアサポーターを目指して訪問を続けているそうです。

また、秋山さんが初めて川村医師を受診した時、それまでに服薬していた沢山の薬を

目の前でゴミ箱にすてられた衝撃的な出来事から始まり、人のつながりの中で癒され、

現在は薬を服用してないこと。

診療所では、時に緊急で外来に来られる方もいて、そんなときは状況に応じてでしょうが

まず「仲間」を処方されるそうです。これは、柳さんのようなピアサポータが何人か呼ばれて

その訴える患者さんに対して話をきいたり、いろいろ体験を話したりして

おちつかせるようです。そういう治療もあると言ってました。

べてるの家の方たちの話は尽きません。

私が一番心に残ったのは、ソーシャルワーカー高田さんの

「患者さんに対して、治そうとか変えようとか、良くしようとか思えば思うほどいい方向には
　
　いかない。私ができる援助は、彼らのやってきたことに関心を示して行き続けることで、

　彼らが変わってくる」という言葉でした。


今回の講演会への参加は２回目でしたが、少しずつ進化していってるべてるの家の活動に

刺激を受けた一日でした。

Do you know about Bethel’s house?
People who are concerned with mental disabilities welfare might know it well.
It’s a regional activity base for people who are concerned with mental disorders in Urakawa city in Hokkaido.

“The lecture of Bethel’s house” has been held every year at Nishiyama hall in Wesleyan University from a few years ago.

Support: Nagasaki Central Health Center, Isahaya City Mental Disabled Family Association
Not only in Isahaya, lectures are held at Nagasaki University School of Medicine and some other places.
Each time different members and staff come, and the lectures according to different themes give us many types of awareness.
It’s consisted of two parts this time,
The part 1 was “now and future of support for local life”
On this part 1, people from the community activities office called “Atelier Pore Pore” in Omura, and the social worker Mr. Yoshida from Omura Social Welfare Council Livelihood Support “Ramu” became symposiasts, and from the respective positions of the people concerned, the managers of community activities offices, and social workers, opinions were given.
What impressed me most was from 2013 the welfare system became law of general support of persons with disabilities, thinking about counseling and support of future, from now on the clout of the persons concerned is going to be important because the opinions of the people who are using the services are more reflected.
Annoyances and troubles, it requires the skills to tell hope of future, and the staff and the experts will be asked for the ability to sense them.
Not supporting only with the welfare system as like before, considering services as and as not the system, want to strive to serve plans that are user entity to meet user’s hope comprehensively in the community. That’s what they were talking about. (I summarized it simply. I’m sorry if I’m wrong.)
Regional potential will be tested.
The 2nd part was “the community support, Bethel style”.
Taishi Takada, the social worker of Urakawa Higashi town clinic.
The speeches by Mr. Yanagi and Mr. Akiyama the members of Bethel.
The speeches about new clinic, the movie of the festival that is held every August was introduced.
There are a lot of the characteristics of Bethel’s house, but the self-directed studies are the most well known.
This time member’s Mr. Yanagi’s unlucky man’s speech excited the crowd.
However at the summary, he talked about the things realized by himself and the things he gave up.
Mr. Yanagi is kind of a shut-in, and he said that he rarely go to Bethel, but now, he’s been visiting Bethel to be a peer-supporter who gives courage and hope.
When Mr. Akiyama first visited Dr. Kawamura, the bunch of medicine he had been taking for long were dumped and then everything has started and cured by the connection of people, and now he doesn’t take any medicine.
There are people who visit the clinic for an emergency, some are prescribed “fellows” depending on their situations. Some peer-supporters like Mr. Yanagi will be celled and listen to the stories that the patient says, and tells the experiences to the patient to calm them down.
The stories of the Bethel’s people never last.
The line that I remember the most is the line that has been said by the social worker Mr. Takada, “As much as I think to cure patients, to change them, or to make them better, things won’t go right. The support that I can do is show the interests toward what they have done, then they will change.”
It was the second time I attended the lecture, and it was the day that I was inspired by the activities of Bethel which have been evolving.
