竹伐り物語？ The Tales of the Bamboo Slasher?

今、竹をこんな感じに伐っています。

Now we are cutting bamboo like this.



この竹を伐るときは、1人が押さえ1人が伐る役割をします。

1人で伐れないものかと考案されたこの道具

When cut the bamboo one person holds it and the other person cut.

竹を乗せて足で押さえれば一人で伐れます。

販売するときに、お手入れ方法などを聞かれるので

基本的に苔玉の部分は、中に

When we sell, some people ask how to maintenance,
so here's a quick summary.
Basically the part of moss balls,

ケト土が入っているので乾燥しにくいですが

やはり冬場などは暖房を入れるので乾燥してきます。

there is keto soil inside so it won't dry easily, but if you use heater in the winter it gets dried.

ケト土は乾燥するとカチカチになりますから注意してください。

まあ、カチカチになるのはよっぽどのことですが。
If Keto soil dried it becomes harder, so be careful.

苔の状態を見ながら、乾いたら霧吹きで水をシュツシュツと振りかけるか

容器に水をためてその中にポチャンと浸けて、しばらく置く(少し水が土に染み込むように)

それでもめんどくさい方は、水道の水をジャーと流してかけてあげても大丈夫です。

要するに苔玉が、カラカラにならないようにしてあげることがポイントです。

If you think it's troublesome just open the faucet and water it, it's fine.

そんなときは、枯れた植物を抜いて、苔玉そのものを楽しんだり

苔玉に、自分の好きな植物を挿し木して育てる楽しみもあります。

苔玉の大きさに注意してバランスよくなるように挿し木し、

水分を十分にあげてください。
