２日前に耕運機で耕していたところを今日は朝の１０時から２時間かけて畑の畝づくり。気温は２９～３０度で少し涼しくなってきたので重労働の仕事も真夏の頃と比べると我が老体にはそれほど堪えませんでした。イチゴの苗が病気になってしまって家内と家内の友達二人で、この畝にたまねぎとイチゴの苗を植え直すそうです。この６本の畝で私たちの畑の４分の１程度。４人（友人二人を含む）が力を合わせて栽培、収穫していますが、私は週１～２回だけ、専ら畑の廻りの木々を切ったり、耕運機、畝づくりの重労働と案山子（かかし）づくりが専門です。皆さん週４～５日は畑で働いてよく頑張っています。
I worked in our field today from 10am to 12am. The temperature came down to 29～30C in September in Osaka, so that the working in our field became not so hard as that in summer. I furrowed our field today which is 1/4 of our all field. At present, 4 people including our 2 friends work in our field, and I work only 1 or 2 days a week for cutting trees and hard work for tilling and furrowing. My wife and our friends are hard workers working 4~5 days a week. It seems that the seedlings of strawberry were deceased, and they have to replant them.
