「ま、必要というか、使ってもらえるならね~。
俺ももう27だしさ!」って感じですけど。
でもさー、監督は変わらないからね・・・(ため息)
Junichi Inamoto wants assurances over his role at Albion, declaring: "I'll stay if I play."
The Japanese international has struggled to pin down a regular starting place during the second half of the Baggies' failed Premiership survival bid.
He is keen to secure first team football and admitted warming the bench in the Championship was not an attractive prospect.
Inamoto established himself as first choice in the centre of midfield last autumn, but the arrival of Nigel Quashie and re-emergence of Andy Johnson pushed him down the pecking order.
"Whether I play in the Championship or go for another level is something I need to consider," he said.
"If we are going down with the same players then the manager might play the same starting XI next season.
"If that's the case and I cant get a regular place in the Championship, then obviously there's a big difference between being on the bench in the Championship and the Premiership.
"We will need to have a discussion."
Inamoto is no stranger to Championship football after spending three months on loan with Cardiff last season.
And he is reluctant to accept a bit part at The Hawthorns.
"I'm going to be 27 in September and if I can't get regular football then there has to be a slight doubt," he said.
"The most important thing is I want to play in a team where I'm needed.
"If Bryan Robson feels he needs me at West Brom I will be very happy, but if that's not the case and there are other teams who need my contribution then I would like to listen to what they have to say."
Martin Albrechtsen will miss the final game of the season at Everton on Sunday.
The Danish defender suffered a broken toe in Monday's single goal defeat against FA Cup finalists West Ham.
