I have been in a creative period 創作していた頃は
I have written a short story 短編を書いたり
And also composed some music 穏やかに作曲していたものです

And now I have a beautiful spring そして今、私は美しい春を経験しています
The sun shines almost everyday ほぼ毎日が晴れています
The Cherries are almost done blooming 桜は咲き終わったけれど
But many other flowers are everywhere それ以外の沢山の花が至る所にあります
It is a pleasure to go outside 外出するのが楽しみです

Life is wonderful 人生は素晴らしいものです
I see the tall chimney on the hill 私は丘の上から高い煙突を見ます
Life is wonderful 人生は素晴らしいものです
I observe white smoke 私は白い煙を観察します
Life is wonderful 人生は素晴らしいものです
It confesses its life 煙は、その人生を打ち明けてくれます

I have read this letter now several times 今何度も手紙を読みました
It makes me want to cry そして泣きたくなりました
Perhaps, you understand my heart 多分君には私の心が解るでしょう

Many years ago, when I was a child 随分昔、私が子供だった頃
In the dream, there was a silhouette 夢に人影が現れました
I believe that was a Japanese and it was you それは日本人で、君だったと信じています
I do know I find you wonderful 君と出会えたことは素晴らしいと知っており、
And our talking and letters make me happy 私たちの会話も手紙も、私を幸せにしてくれます

I know thin ink of Japanese culture 私は日本の薄墨の文化を知っています

Looking melting of smoke (to the sky) 私は煙が空に溶けるのを見ています
