ツバキを鑑賞しましょう Let's appreciate the camellia.

　今、鎮守の森では、日本のツバキの自生種であるヤブツバキが咲き始めています。
私が住んでいる茨城県では、温暖な太平洋に近い地域から、ヤブツバキが開花します。
The Thea nakaii that is the endemic species of the camellia in Japan begins to bloom in the grove of a village shrine now.
In Ibaraki Prefecture where I live, the Thea nakaii flowers from a region near the clement Pacific Ocean.



ヤブツバキは、暖地を好む植物です。
そのため、寒い風を避ける枝の上にあるつぼみたちが、最初に開花します。
今年の冬は、低温が厳しかったので、痛んだ花びらたちが見えています。
The Thea nakaii is a plant that likes warm regions.
Therefore, buds on the branch that avoids a cold wind flower first.
The hurting petals are seen because the low temperature was severe in the winter of this year.



私は、大きなヤブツバキの木陰から、早春の田園を見ます。
この樹は、１９世紀から、この場所で成長を続けています。
I see the country of the early spring from the shade of a tree of a big Thea nakaii.
This tree keeps growing up in this place in the 19th century.



鎮守の森には、様々な巨木があります。
この落葉樹は、寺院建築や太鼓の素材です。
針葉樹は、住宅建築や樽の素材です。
そして、常緑の広葉樹であるヤブツバキは、工芸品や高品質の木炭の素材です。
その灰は、日本酒の醸造にも使用される、貴重なものです。
身近な環境に、歴史的にも重要な、生活文化の資源があるのです。
In the grove of a village shrine, there are various gigantic trees.
This deciduous tree is a material of the buddhist temple construction and the drum.
The conifer is a material of the residential construction and the barrel.
And, the Thea nakaii that is an evergreen tree with broad leaves is the craft goods and a material of the charcoal of the high quality.
The ash is valuable used to brew sake.
In a familiar environment, there is historically a resource of an important life culture.



ヤブツバキの果実からは、高品質の油が生産され、多様な用途に珍重されています。
その種子は、木陰でも力強く発芽し、成長することができます。
そして、やがて、次世代の森を形成します。
The oil of the high quality is produced with the Thea nakaii fruits, and it is valued highly by various usages.
The seeds germinate under the shadow of a tree powerfully, and can grow up.
And, next generation's forest will be formed before long.



ヤブツバキは、冬の間に、ゆっくりとつぼみを生長させます。
そして、真紅の花を咲かせて、やがて、花をまるごと、地上に落とします。
この画像は、すでに完全に能力を発揮した、花の命の悔いのない姿です。
The Thea nakaii will slowly develop buds in winter.
And, a crimson flower is made to bloom, and the flower will be dropped to the ground wholly before long.
This image is an appearance that the flower's life doesn't regret to have demonstrated the ability completely.



ツバキは、茶道の世界で、重要な存在です。
かつて、戦乱激しかった時代の武将たち間にも、急速に広まりました。
簡素な路地草庵の中で、サムライたちは、日本刀を携えずに、精神的な充実と交流を試みました。
生命が脅かされた時代に、一輪のツバキの花が、かけがえのない一瞬の輝きを提供したのです。
The camellia is important existence in the world of the tea ceremony.
It gets excited war disturbances and it has spread rapidly between generals in the driven age before.
Samurai tried mental enhancement and the exchange without having the Japanese sword in a simple alley tea hut.
The flower of the camellia of one wheel offered an irreplaceable shine at the moment in the age when the life was threatened.



当時も今も、花の姿は変わりません。
ツバキの花を見るたびに、命をつないできた、先人達の尊い人生を思います。

Whenever the flower, the bird, and people receive spring, a both new desire is piled up each other.

豊かな森と、美しい花たちや鳥たちとともに、私たちは、これからも、大切な時間を生きていきます。
Thea nakaii of the next generation of the gigantic tree grow up rapidly.
Hereafter, we will live in important time with a rich forest, beautiful flowers, and birds.
