さて、今日は体外受精シリーズの続きです。
Okay, this is another article of our 4th IVF treatment.
私達夫婦の合計4回目、ミネソタでは2回目の体外受精の治療スケジュールは下の通り進んでいきました。
Our 4th IVF for total, the 2nd time in MN, was scheduled as below.
9月26日 ピルの服用を止める（5月5日から飲んでいました。）
Sep. 26th Stopped taking birth control pills. (I started from May 5th.)
9月30日 2つの薬を自己注射で投薬開始
Sep. 30th Started taking 2 kinds of shots.
Menopur （メノピュア（製品名）／黄体形成ホルモンと卵胞刺激ホルモンのお薬で卵を発育させる効果がある。）
Gonal-f（ゴナールエフ（製品名）／卵胞刺激ホルモンのお薬で、こちらも卵を発育させる効果がある。）

10月4日 卵胞の発育の経過を見るエコー＆血液検査
Oct. 4th Ultrasound to check follicles & Lab test
10月4日 9月30日に自己注射を始めた薬に加えて、セトロタイド（Cetrotide）という薬の自己注射開始
Oct. 4th Started taking Centrotide in addition to the other 2 kinds of shots.
10月6日 卵胞の発育の経過を見るエコー＆血液検査
Oct. 6th Ultrasound to check follicles & Lab test
10月9日 卵胞の発育の経過を見るエコー＆血液検査
Oct. 9th Ultrasound to check follicles & Lab test
10月10日 トリガー注射
Oct. 10th Trigger shots
10月11日 トリガー注射が効いているか確認の採血
Oct. 11th Blood Test to see if the trigger shots were working
10月12日 採卵
Oct. 12th Egg Retrieval
10月13日 受精結果判明
Oct. 13th The result of fertilization
10月18日 発育状況報告
Oct. 18th The Egg report
10月29日 着床前診断結果判明
Oct.29th The result of PGT-A
前回の記事では採卵日の様子をお届けしましたが、今回はその後何個卵が受精して、何個正常に成長してくれたかを書いていきたいと思います。
On the last article of this series, I wrote about the egg retrieval. After the big day, we got a report about how the retrieved eggs were doing.
10月12日に採卵をし、その翌日、クリニックから受精結果がオンラインで届きました。
We did the egg retrieval on Oct. 12th and on the next day, we got a report online.
今回の採卵で採れた卵は5個。
They could take 5 eggs this time.
その内成熟した卵は4個。
4 eggs of 5 were mature.
その中で無事受精したのが2個という結果でした。
Then, 2 out of 4 mature eggs were fertilized.
ちなみに、前回のサイクルでは4個卵が採れ、3個が成熟卵、その内2個受精したという結果だったので、残った受精卵の数から言えば前回と全く同じでした。
FYI, in the last cicle, they could take 4 eggs and 3 of them were mature. Then, 2 of them were fertilized. So, the number of fertilized eggs were exact same as the last cycle.
上手く受精してくれた卵2個がその後順調に成長してくれたかどうかの結果は、その後10月18日に培養士さんからの電話で教えてもらいました。
As for a report after 2 eggs were fertilized, we got a call from an embryologist on Oct. 18th.
結果、受精してから5日目、胚盤胞まで育ってくれたのは1個。（はぁ～、前回同様首の皮一枚だけで繋がってる状況。）
She said that there's only 1 egg left on Day 5 after it's fertilized. (Oh my, it felt like that we're walking on a tightrope again.)
１個だけでも残ってくれた事にホッとはしました。
Still, I was relieved that there's still 1 egg left.
で、胚盤胞まで育ってくれた1個はサンプルを違うラボに送り、着床前診断をしてくれる事になりました。
After the report, they sent a sample of the egg to a different lab to do a PGT-A (Preimplantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploid) test.
ここまでは本当に前回と全く同じ展開。
So far, everything was just as same as the last cycle.
前回はこの次の着床前診断で受精卵が「異常」という結果で、卵をお腹に戻す移植まで至りませんでした。
In the last cycle, the PGT-A test told us that the only egg left was "abnormal" and not recommended for a transfer.
1個しか卵が無いのは何とも心許ないのですが、とりあえずやれる事をやるしかない不妊治療。
It's kind of feeling insecure having only 1 egg, but there's no other way but doing whatever you could do.
どうか、正常な受精卵でありますように！！と祈る事しかできません。
All we could do at the time was praying that the only egg was normal.
とにかく、この残ってくれた卵の着床前診断の結果が戻ってくるのを待ちました。
We just waited for the result of PGT-A test.
