これもずいぶんと前の話になるんですが、不妊治療クリニックに行った日の話です。
This is a while ago, but I want to talk about the day that Andy and I went to the infertility clinic on.
この日は人工授精をする日で、朝一にクリニックに行ってAndyっちのサンプルを採って、そこから人工授精をするまで2時間ほど時間があったので、そのまま朝ご飯を食べに行く事にしました。
We're going to do another insemination that day and had to go in the clinic for them to get Andy's sample in the morning. Then, we still had a few hours untill they got the sample ready for the insemination, so we decided to go to have a breakfast nearby in the meantime.
事前に調べてクリニック近くで見つけたのが。。。
I looked up online and found this close to the clinic.
The Original Pancake House
オリジナルパンケーキハウス
Hit-chan、パンケーキにはあまり興味が無かったので知らなかったのですが、このお店はチェーンなんですが、なんと日本にも6件もお店があるんですねぇ！
I wasn't actually into pancakes so much and didn't know about this restaurant, but they have 6stores in Japan!
朝食が美味しいお店なので、入ってすぐにコーヒーが欲しいか聞いてくれ、すぐにカップに注いでくれます。（カップが可愛い！）
They serve great breakfast, so they would ask about coffee and pour it in your cup right away. (The cup was so cute!)
もちろん、コーヒーのお味もGood!
Of course, the taste was great!
Andyっちはノートパソコンを持ち込んでお仕事。（この日はちょっと不機嫌だったなぁ。仕事でトラブルがあったのかも。）
Andy brought in his laptop to do some work there. (I don't remember, but he was kind of crabby that morning. Maybe, he was dealing with work issues.)
Andyっちはイングリッシュマフィンと。。。
He got this English muffina and...
ベーコン＆目玉焼き
Bacon&Eggs
Hit-chanは苺のクレープと。。。
I got this fresh strawberry crape and...
ソーセージを追加で
sausages as an option.
Hit-chan、普段家ではあまり甘いものを食べたりしないのですが（ドーナツは例外ですけど。）この頃は何故か甘いものにはまっており、結構食べてたんですねぇ。（その後、体重増加におののいて、自主規制かけております。笑）
I'm not a huge fan of sweet things (Donuts are exceptional), but I was really into sweets around that time and eating something sweet almost every morning. (After a few weeks of the habit, I was freaked out with my weight gain and have been trying not to eat too much lately.)
で、お味の方なんですが、めっちゃ美味しかった～！！！
Anyways, the meal was so delicious!!!
Perkinsっていう朝食で有名なチェーン店もあるんですが、ソーセージも含めて、Perkinsよりも自然な味がしました。
I've been to Perkins a couple of times before, but The Original Pancake House tastes more natural flavors to me.
Andyっちも同意見でした。
Andy was also on the same page about it.
Hit-chan、外食して残しても、基本家に持ち帰ったりせず、持ち帰っても結局食べずに捨ててしまう事が多いのですが、こちらのソーセージはその場で完食。クレープは持ち帰って、家でちゃんと食べましたよ。
I usually don't take out leftover food from a restaurant and even when I did, I mostly end up throwing it out anyways. Though, I enjoyed all the sausages at the restaurant and took out the crape and finished it at home!
でね、面白かったのは、あまりにも感動したHit-chan、後日、職場で友人のキャットに、「なぁなぁ、この前さぁ、オリジナルパンケーキハウスって所で朝食食べたんやけど、めっちゃ美味しかってん！！Andyっちにも、家の近くにあったらなぁって言っててん。」と言ったら。。。
Here's a funny story. I really liked The Original Pancake House and wanted to share the amazing expeience with someone. So, I talked to my friend, Kat, about it at work. "Hey, I had an amazing breakfast the other day at The Original Pancake House! I was telling Andy that I wish we had one close to our house."
キャット、笑いながらドライブスルーの窓の方を指さして、「すぐそこにあるで。」
Then, she's laughing and pointed to the window and said, "It's right there!"
Hit-chan、「え、オリジナルパンケーキハウス？？」
Me, "What? The Original Pancake House??"
キャット、「うん。」
Kat, "Yup."
その後、それを聞いてたバイトの女の子と一緒に3人で爆笑しました。
In a short pause, Kat, me and a girl working with us and listening to the conversation, we all bursted out laughing!!
で、ちゃんと調べたら、職場のすぐ横の他にも、家から10分くらいのところにあるのも発見
I looked up their locations online again and then found out that they have one location right by my work and also one 10mins from my house.
まぁ、滅多に朝食を外で食べる事はないのですが、次に行く時も絶対オリジナルパンケーキハウスに行きたいと思います！
Andy and I don't go out to eat breakfast so much, but I definitely want to go to The Original Pancake House whenever we have a chance again!
ちなみに、日本では行列ができたりするのかもしれませんが、ミネソタのお店は至って落ち着いた雰囲気でございます。
FYI, I heard that people make a long long line to have their pancake in Japan, but here in MN, you don't have to deal with it!
という訳で、美味しい朝食のお話でした！
