さて、今日はクリスマスの続きです。
Okay, like I said yesterday, I want to write about my family Christmas today.
クリスマスの朝、レイモンド家とのプレゼント交換を終えた後、パパ＆ママの家に戻りました。
After Andy and I had a wonderful time with the Raymonds, we went back to Ray&Mary's house.
この日はAndyっちのお兄さん家族、Andyっちの弟ブラッド君も一緒に、昨日ママが仕込んでくれていたパスタ＆ターキーをいただきました。
On Christmas day, Andy's big brother's family and his young brother, Brad, joined and we had a Turkey and shell pasta lunch which Mary was prepping the day before.
お兄さんには3人の男の子、Hit-chanからすれば甥っ子ちゃん達がいるんですが、ご飯を食べた後、早くプレゼントを開けたいのでめちゃくちゃ頑張ってお手伝いをしてくれました。(笑)
Andy's big brother has 3 boys who are nephews to me and what's funny was they wanted to open their presents as soon as possible, so they worked so hard to put dishes away after the meal.
この日は、甥っ子ちゃん達中心のプレゼント交換なので、と言っても、ツリーの下にはプレゼントが一杯。
We're supposed to open presents mostly just for kids this day, but there are still a lot of presents under the tree.
で、プレゼント交換開始！
And, it's started!
え～、我が家のプレゼント交換はほんとうに数が多いので時間がかかるので、2年前くらいから、甥っ子ちゃん中心と大人中心とで2回に分けてやる事になりました。
Oh well, my family's present exchange takes very very long, so we've made it 2 separate times, one with the kids and one just with adults recently.
と言えども、この1回目のプレゼント交換も2、3時間くらいかかったのではないでしょうか？(笑)
Even though, this kids one still took a couple of hours, I think.
でも、お兄さん家族が帰った後にAndyっちが
After Andy's big brother's family left, Andy said
「思ったよりも早く終わったから、今から2回目のプレゼント交換始める？？」
"Oh well, it was done earlier than I expected, so we could do ours tonight."
と言いだしたんですが、Hit-chan
So, I said
「別に時間あるから、予定通り明日にしようや～。」
"We have time, so let's do that tomorrow as we planned."
と却下しました。だって、疲れるもんね。(笑)
politely declined. Hehe.
なので、その夜は皆でポーカーをして遊びました。
So, we decided to play cards that night.
Hit-chan、結構ポーカー好きなんですよ。楽しいんですよねぇ。
Actually, I really like playing cards. That's so fun.
で、クリスマス翌日、一息ついてから大人中心のプレゼント交換を始めました。
And the day after Christmas, we started our present exchange after we had breakfast.
前日よりもたくさんのプレゼントがツリーの下に並びました。
Oh yeah, there are more presents than the day before.
小っちゃいものから大っきなもの、安いものからちょっと値の張るもの、どれも相手を思っての愛がこもっているので、贈る人も贈られる人もワクワクしながらプレゼントが開けられていきます。
From small to big, cheap to a little pricey, every single present has love from the sender, so both the sender and the receiver get excited and happy as each present was opened.
こちらのプレゼント交換は、結果4時間くらいかなぁ、で終わりました。
I guess we took about 4 hours to get all the presents opened.
前日にやらなくて良かったです。(笑)
Yeah, I'm glad that I decided not to do that the night before.
で、プレゼント交換の後は、皆でピザを食べに行きました。
After the fun present exchange, we went out to have a pizza.
クリスマス翌日のレストランはめちゃ混雑。
The restaurant on the day after Christmas was all packed.
イタリアンスタイルのピザは美味しかったんですが、Hit-chan個人はPunch Pizzaの方が好きでしたねぇ。
The Italian style pizza was good, but personally, I like Punch pizza better.
お薦めのサラダは美味でしたよ～。
Though, their salad was super good.
と、こんな感じで我が家の2015年のクリスマスは過ぎていきました。
Anyways, this is about my family's Christmas in 2015.
今年のクリスマス、「ゆっくりできて本当に良かった。」と皆の意見が一致したくらい、家族団欒の時間が過ごせました。
Actually, everybody agreed saying "This Christmas was really good." and we had a wonderful family time together.
クリスマスは本来宗教的なものですが、それとは関係なく、こうやって年に一度、大切な人とお互いの思いを確かめ合える機会を持たせてもらえる事に感謝で一杯です。
Christmas is supposed be a very religious event, but it's a really meaningful time to have a chance to say "I love you." to your loved ones.
来年も再来年も、こうやって大切な時間を大事にしていきたいと思います。
I really hope that we can keep having such a wonderful time next year and more and more.
という訳で、我が家のクリスマス、2015でした！
