ＬＯＨＡＳ、ロハスという言葉は、日本では
早い時期に、ある出版社が商標登録
していたために、予想に反してそれほど
広がっていないという記事を新聞で読んだ。
最近そんなの多いな。
ふつうの言葉でべつに特色ない言葉なのに
やたら商標登録したがるっていうか。
結果として、登録した人は
自分の首をしめるときもあるのに。
なんか、その出版社、思い切り健全なイメージで売ってる
ところだけに、妙にニチャリとしたものを感じた。
This morning I read the article
on LOHAS of Japan in the newspaper,
Asahi-shinbun.
The paper says the word LOHAS,
Lifestyles of Health
and Sustainability is not so
popularized enough in Japan.
Because a big Firm and
a publishing house have already
registered trademark
about the word LOHAS,
so the companies which want to use
this word have to pay to them.
It seems ridiculous.
Finaly the companies can't use it
easily and then it could'nt spread freely.
As a result, also such firm and
publishing house can't receive
enough benefit.
The paper says they will lift
the registered mark on this automn.
It's quite natural, at the same time,
it will be too late to do so, I think.
