季節の温度変化がほとんどないこの国では、1年を乾季と雨季という表現で分けています
もちろん厳密な定義はありませんが、大体11月から4月ぐらいまでが雨季に該当し、それ以外は乾季ということになります
雨季といっても、この時期は南半球では夏にあたりますので昼間の太陽光は真上から降り注ぎ平均気温は乾季に比べて若干高くなります
終日雨雲で覆われて晴れ間が全くないという日はほとんどありません
しかし今日はちょっと違います
昨夜から降り出した雨は断続的に降り続き、今朝6時にかなり激しく降り始めて7時半の現在も続いています
もちろんレインタンクは完全に満タンとなりオーバーフローした水が濁流となって排水溝に流れています
雨季の間でも朝から雨が降るというのは極めて珍しく、雨雲があっても太陽が登るにつれてどこかに消失してしまい、太陽エネルギーの凄さを感じます
今日市内の屋外競技場で予定されているクリスマスキャロルの行事がどうなるかちょっと心配なところです

The average temperature becomes a little higher than the dry season.
There is almost no day that the sky is overcast and no sunshine at all.
However today is little bit different.
The rain started at yesterday evening and continued through night and this morning at 6 it became very heavy and still continues at 7:30.
Of course the rain tank becomes full and the over flowed water is gushing down in a drainage ditch.
Even during the rainy season it is very rare that rains from the morning.
Usually if there are rain clouds in the morning sky it will fade away according to the sunrise and it shows the strong energy of the Sun.
It is little bit anxious that the Christmas carol event scheduled this evening in the city stadium.
