日本人は、南京で、多くの
人たちを殺した。これは動かしがたい
事実である。
The Japanese army killed many people in Nan-kin in China. This is the fact which no one can deny.
それを「３０万人ではない。せいぜい
３万人だ」とか、「大虐殺は、中国側の
プロパガンダだ」と説く人たちがいる。
It is a very sad thing to know that there are some people who say “We killed at most 3 thousand people, not 30 thousands people”, or therefore it is a kind of hostile propaganda of China to disgrace Japan”.
３万人でも問題ではないか。３０００人
でも問題ではないか。
What is the difference between 3 thousand and 30 thousands?
どうしてそのとき、日本軍が、中国に
いたのか？
Why and what for were the Japanese army in Nan-kin in China?
それについても、「近代的防衛戦だったから
しかたなかった」とか、「日本が植民地に
しなければ、欧米が植民地にしていた」、
さらには、「日本が大陸に進出していなかったら、
日本が植民地になっていた」と説く人たちが
いる。
As for this simple question, they say “it was a kind of defence war against European countries”, “if we didn’t have done so, European countries would have put these Chine and Korea under their power and colonaized them.”or, “Japan might have been colonized by European countries.”
ならば、問う。
OK. If so then I would like to ask these people who say so;
だからといって、なぜ、日本がそれをしなけ
ればならなかったのか、と。
Why shoud Japan have done so? Did we have the right to do so? Or who asked us to do so?
中国や朝鮮が欧米の植民地になりかけたら、
そのとき、日本は、それを阻止すれば
よかった。それが正義というものである。
We should have freed these countries such as China and Korea , in case these countries might have been colonized. We could stop European countries to do so. This is the justice.
が、それでも、日本は正しかったというのなら、
日本よ、日本人よ、これだけは、覚えて
おくとよい。
Even then if you insist that “we were right and we did a right thing in the war”, you should remember that this fact.
いつか将来、中国や朝鮮が日本に対して
同じことをしても、日本よ、日本人よ、
文句を言うな。
Don’t complain in case China and Korea would do the same thing as we did to them in the next time.
つまりその覚悟ができているのか。
その覚悟があるなら、近代的防衛戦
という言葉でも何でも使って、自分を
正当化すればよい。
