●一瞬（A blink of light）

遅々として進まなく見える人生も、
一瞬のできごとで、すべてが変わる。
そのとき平和は、途切れ、安穏は、消える。
平凡は美徳だが、その平凡からは
何も生まれない。しかしその平凡の価値は、
それを失って、はじめて、わかる。
何でもないこと。その何でもないことの中に、
私たちが、求める真理が隠されている。
目が見える。耳が聞こえる。話ができる。
歩ける。走れる。電車に乗れる。人と
会うことができる。
それが、一瞬で変わる。ほんの一瞬だ。
Ｄ氏が、交通事故で倒れた。ほんの
一瞬のできごとだった。そのD氏の
奥さんが、「一瞬」という言葉を使って、
その交通事故を、知らせてくれた。
人は、ときにその一瞬おののき、恐れる。
Sometimes life itself seems to go very slowly, as if it did not move.
But sometimes life itself changes all at once. Then peaceful life puts an end mark and happiness turns to be the deepest sad.
Life with nothing is a virtue but such life will bring us nothing.
But people would know the value of such life when they lose it.
Life with nothing. The truth is hidden in such a life.
I can hear. I can see. I can talk. I can walk. I can run. I can ride a bike. I can meet with people.
But such a life sometimes changes all at once.
Mr. D met an traffic accident. It was an accident. But the accident occurs within a blink of light.
Mr. D’s wife wrote to me, using a word “ a blink of light”. Sometimes a blink of light is so harsh and severe that people can’t bear it.
