Life as a Big System
Long ago, in a galaxy of the universe, there raised the solar system and only a little planet called Earth was born. Land and sea separated from the primitive earth, and the state of the material stabilized, a small mass of life with autonomous movement appeared. The life started from an invisible small movement, gradually becoming an organization and becoming complicated while adding functionalities, and it has developed into an intellectual life being. Living organisms with common characteristics as life diversified and expanded in variety, spread entirely on the surface of the planet, so that such living things support the environment of the earth as a role of each species. Considering the big flow of life including all living things, we can think it as a big whole system holding a planet. It is characteristic of life itself that the trend of living things has been expanding and become more complex, and intellectual beings appear in a part of it. In other words, in this universe, life inevitably occurs on a planet where meets necessary conditions, and once the life occurs, the life species will spread widely and they will develop the life environment of the planet and reach intelligent species. However, in the present science, any physical laws cannot explain flourishing of life, even though some substances collect and organize automatically, in fact the life organization becomes complicated and leads to complex intellectual life. What I think here is that life is a whole system that encompasses all individual species, which may be inherently obeying a sort of mission or some specific laws. Activation of life in the overall flow from one small cell to an intellectual being suggests some power under all life things. Therefore, the path or direction of the flow of life involves the future of human beings, as a matter of course.
All organisms on the earth entangle with the various circulation accompanying the food chain and carbon cycle. Moreover, the features and structure of amino acids and proteins are the same composition with all organisms, that is, we can regard life as one big system. Each type of life has a positive or negative role on the environment, supporting the circulation on a global scale. As one rough example, there are organisms such as bacteria that produce organic matter from inorganic substances, there are creatures that eat the organic matter as food, and decompose after death, such circulation is repeating. In other words, every life from bacteria to human beings supports the global energy circulation in the role of combining and decomposing substances while involving atmospheric, oceanic or land-based substances. All organisms maintain the state of living as much as possible, once when it comes to living activation. As for that situation, we may feel, life beings have something like spiritual energy or power of will which is forced to live in the environmental condition where each organism is placed. However, in scientific explanations, life beings have not intention or will to act by themselves, but they are continuing activities to incorporate substances of the outside and convert it to energy autonomously. Anyway, individual organisms do not have energy sources such as power supply or batteries, but there must be the power of the source to prevent them from stopping their living state by themselves. So that organisms act creating energy by exchanging substances between the outside and inside of themselves, ingesting food, protecting themselves from foreign enemies, and maintaining species according to the placed environment.
In order to maintain to live, living things first need a function to identify things in the outside world. It is necessary to distinguish what is around is harm or food, and the same species into aggregating a lump, they can benefit from maintaining life together. The selecting behavior occurs after identifying, that is, it can choose its suitable actions by itself if it recognizes what is in the outside world. In other words, organisms have to need some sensory organs from the earlier stage of life. If the same species gathers, it would be better to share the living roles and aggregate as an organization to live. Moreover, they had created a mechanism to mutate genes separately into male and female, so that life already had direction towards complexity in the earlier stage. The living things, even inside functions, identify the lack and instability of substances that occur in the body, balance them using functions to select suitable substances by mediating various enzymes. Living organism based on such functions, has gradually advanced its form as an organization of unified individuals as living one, and they have developed species-specific sensory organs while ensuring cohesion as that individual. In cases of animals, the nervous system came up into the body to make the behavior more efficient. We can think that the fundamentals of life activities are not only continuing to live, but also the tendency to drive more efficiently, eating food and avoiding enemies, and so on. What is there is just some energy of spirit that is conscious of efficiency of living, I think that consciousness has the action of identifying and selecting and combining as necessary.
From a lump of initial life that had originated in the Earth, it constituted an organized one, separated from outside environment with membrane, developed rich functions that replicate and propagate themselves maintaining generations. After repeating generations for a while, in a short and focused period, life organism reorganized the form and changed the body dramatically more complex. That is mutation into different species. The reason why this mutation occurred is still unknown in modern science. The fact that many species evolved in parallel into more advanced organisms suggests that life tends to increase the amount of information as entropy decreases, so that we have to consider a process that physically some kind of energy supply is necessary. It is energy that we cannot consider other than the solar light energy at present. Under the energy of the sun, living organisms on the earth could have constituted one big life system as a planet while effectively converting the state of energy by utilizing organic substances such as enzymes.
In addition, a time lapse is an important factor for this universe system. In other words, even if a substance can exist in a three-dimensional space, there will be no change such as activation of life if there is no time. I do not mean that there was time in the universe from the beginning, but I mean that time was indispensable as a process of rising consciousness in a big life system. Moreover, to make a change to the previous state to complicate to the later state, it is necessary for the organism itself to identify the change according to the passage of time, so that it could realize a mutation to a complicated organization, repeating selection and bonding new tissues. It is clearly the fact that many life species transformed into complex organizations, and there was a direction of rising complicated as entire flow of life.
The universe we understand now is features as three-dimensional space with the passage of time. We recognize that life expands and develops on the earth in fact. Therefore, once life appears in the universe, it will become complicated into intellectual beings, unless there is any unique factor as the earth. Given the possibility that a planet in the same condition of environment as the earth is in the universe, the occurrence of life must regard as the fundamentals of the universe. Intellectual life like human beings will probably appear somewhere in the universe. We can commonly refer to an intellectual being because of thinking with language and communicating with abstract concepts. This is much different from other living things. Before humans, it is said that mutation occurred in physiological or anatomical functions or organization of the body. However, humans have been beyond the scope observed externally, and made possible thinking internally in the brain. Humans are aware of their own consciousness and perceive not only substances directly but also recognize as concepts of words in their own brains. In other words, humans have developed the functions of language in the brain, and then got a further foundation for rising consciousness. Therefore, the current stage of the earth that has caused intellectual life can be placed in the process that humans who clearly recognize their consciousness will go beyond the limits of matter and will raise their consciousness to next spirit stage.
Life systems have raised consciousness to intellectual life by causing mutation in a long period, complicating individual tissues. In other words, before the appearance of intellectual life form, the life system only dominates the “Consciousness of Life”, which has been the center of the living individual. Then, when becoming the stage of intellectual life form called human being and self-consciousness has become clear, in parallel with the “Consciousness of Life”, “Consciousness of self-awareness” has arisen. Having become aware of self-consciousness, humans have changed into a system that raises consciousness reflecting on oneself. Moreover, humans have formed groups utilizing language communication, and built a social organization. Therefore, individual brains linked with others by language communication and cooperated to promote activation with producing good results. In other words, by thinking and cooperating in multiple brains, a new spirit of group will develop. Here has been a change from a language as a means of communication and recording, to a language sharing thoughts and concepts. By sharing experiences of causes and results among humans, adding the will into good results, each memory will reconstruct and we will discover new collaboration. That is, consciousness will become complicating.
From the observation of fossils alone, we may not find out any mutation since skulls of humans have not changed so much for hundreds of thousands of years. However, practically, humans have developed their brains internally regarding to abstract concepts by thought using language, so that mutation has continued internally. It is a process of clarifying the self-consciousness efficiently, such as ensuring foods appropriate for the environment and dealing with foreign enemies, and many humans gathered together to constitute a society. Moreover, as individuality diversified, humans could gain the abilities of selecting and combining things from confused experiences in the groups. Therefore, humans can coordinate with group members, not only aware of self-consciousness of life, conscious of living better with members with the will and motivation for improvement. Increasing the efficiency of each action in a group, raises the energy of motivation in the group, and raises the spirit of enthusiasm. In modern society, money circulation surrounds the world like the circulation of blood, and information of Internet connects from the end to the whole world like a nervous system. Therefore, the current stage of humans is on the way of consciousness gradually increasing toward completion of total intelligent. For the flow of life as a whole system, it may be in the process of increasing the mental energy and wrapping the whole.

If there are planets that have the substances necessary for life and environmental conditions that are suitable for survival, it is inevitable that life will appear. If so, life phenomenon ought to be a law of the universe. Moreover, life occurred on the planet will expand and constitute a life system whose body is the whole planet, life will develop a center integrated the spirits into one unit of the planet. I think that some mission given to the flow of life and it forces us. The energy that raises the spirit underlies, it continues to rise with enthusiasm to intellectual. Like, we can realize to do things with colleagues, even impossible to do by one person. As a compilation of the results from activities with enthusiasm, the mental energy of the whole humans will rise and choose the future. It seems a law that one seed of life occurring on a planet, gradually changing to complex organisms, increasing and expanding throughout the planet. Humans, in the earth, have become the most complex intellectual life form at the present. If so, the future of the life system will be suggested by what humans, as an intellectual being, will identify and choose, and what purpose humans have passion.
