At a time when the French usually head off on their long summer break, the president has ordered deputies to attend a special session of parliament until August 3rd. The "hyper-president" is setting the pace with his own whirlwind schedule. At his White House-style briefing last week, his spokesman, David Martinon, had already lost his voice.
