今日は大雪です・・・
昔、アナログディスクを再生するアンプには
『サブソニック・フィルター』なるスイッチがついていました。
20～40Hz以下の周波数を減衰させるロー・カット・フィルターです。
『反ったレコードを再生するときにスピーカーが無駄に動くのを抑える。』
または、
『アームの共振による超低域のひずみをとる。』
という説明がされていました。
これらメリットがある反面、
『余分な回路を通すと音が悪くなる。』という先輩も多く
高校生だった私はなんとなくサブソニックフィルターOFFで再生していました。
ぶっちゃけ、当時の私のシステムでは
ONでもOFFでも音質の差はほとんど変わらず、
スピーカーの動きが少なくなったような気がしただけでした・・・
しかしアンプを設計するようになって
別のメリットがあることを知ります。

It's a heavy snow today...
"Subsonic filter" had the switch for the amplifier which recycles an analog disk before.
LCF which makes less than 20-40 Hz of frequency attenuate.
"When recycling the record I warped, it's suppressed that a loudspeaker moves wastefully."
"I get the distortion of the ultra-low level by the resonance of an arm."
Such explanation was done.
This and others, at an advantage, on the other hand.
There was a former who says "When an extra circuit was let through, sound became bad."
I who was a high school student was playing by subsonic filter off somehow.
There are almost no differences in the sound quality by my old system.
A movement of a loudspeaker was little....
But the work to design an amplifier is begun, and finds difference at an advantage.
