『バランスって音良いの？ vol.4』の続きです。

バランス接続とアンバランス接続の特徴をまとめてみます。


アンバランス接続の特徴：

音楽信号が通過する回路がシンプルで鮮度の高い音。

長さは３ｍ以内が望ましい。

ノイズフィルター等の電源対策をしたほうが良い。


バランス接続の特徴：

長いケーブル（５ｍ～）もOk。

ノイズが混入しにくい。

回路が複雑になるためピュアな音質にするためには工夫が必要。


つまり、ケーブルが長い場合や

ノイズの多い環境ではバランスが有利です。

例えば、プリアンプやCDは手元に置き、

パワーアンプはスピーカーの傍に設置する場合です。

The feature of the balance connection and the unbalanced connection was gathered.


The feature of the unbalanced connection:

The circuit music signal passes is simple and is fresh sound.

It's desirable for the length within the 3m.

It's better to take the power supply measure by which it's for a noise filter.

The feature of the balance connection:

A long cable (more than 5 m) is also Ok.

Noise is difficult to mix.

A circuit is complicated. A device is necessary for purpose of the pure sound quality.

In other words, when a cable is long, a balance is profitable.

A balance is favorable to the noisy environment.

For example a preamplifier and a CD are put at the front.

A power amplifier is installed in the side of a loudspeaker.

バランス接続ではどうなるのでしょうか？



バランス接続の場合、

音楽信号が流れる電線とオーディオ機器のケースはつながっていません。

ケーブルには純粋に音楽信号だけが通ります。

また、オーディオ機器に有害な『コモンモード・ノイズ』という

電源ノイズがありますが、

このノイズは大地（アース）との間に発生するノイズです。

オーディオ機器のケースはアース電位ですので

アンバランス接続ではコモンモードノイズから逃げることはできません。



バランス接続にすればコモンモードノイズの問題はなくなります。

業務用の機器にバランス接続が多いのは

ケーブルが１０ｍ以上でノイズが混入しやすい環境でも

問題なく使用できるからなのです。

How about by a balance connection?



In case of a balance connection

The wire of music signal and the steel case of an audio system aren't connected.

Only music signal flows to a cable.

There is harmful power supply noise as "common mode noise" in audio equipment.

This noise occurs during grounding.

The steel case ground electric potential of the audio system.

In case of an unbalanced connection, you can't escape from common mode noise.



In case of a balance connection, there are no problems of common mode noise.

There are a lot of balance connections in equipment for business use.

That's the environment that noise of more than 10 m of cable is easy to mix.

It's also no problem in that case.

『バランスって音良いの？ vol.2』の続きです。

ＣＤは電源に接続されています。

日本では１００Ｖです。

これはとても高い電圧です。

ＣＤは金属ケースに入れられています。

極僅かですが、金属ケースに電気が漏れてきます。

（たくさん漏れている状態が漏電です）

ＣＤ単体であれば問題にりません。

しかし、この現象はアンプにも発生します。

ケースに漏れてくる電圧は同一ではありません。

仮にＣＤに２Ｖ、アンプに１Ｖの電圧が漏れると

ＣＤからアンプに向かって電流が流れます。

この電流は接続されているＲＣＡケーブルを伝わって流れていきます。

ところがＲＣＡケーブルには音楽信号が流れています。

音楽信号に電源から漏れ出した電流が重畳するのです。

これがノイズの正体です！！

A CD is connected to a power supply.

Japan is 100V.

The very high voltage.

A CD is enclosed with a metallic case.

A little electricity leaks out to a metallic case.

In case of a CD element, it's no problem.

This phenomenon also occurs to an amplifier.

The voltage which leaks out to a case isn't identical.

It's supposed temporarily, that the voltage of the CD:2V and the amplifier :1V leaks.

An electric current flows from the CD to the amplifier.

This electric current is called off through a connected RCA cable.

But, music signal is flowing to a RCA cable.

The electric current which has begun to leak out to music signal from a power supply rises one above another.

This is noise!

バランスとアンバランスと聞くと

いかにもバランスの方が良いのでは？と思いますが、

そうとも限りません。

オーディオ機器の内部はアンバランスで動作しています。

RCA ケーブル等のアンバランス接続はこれをそのまま接続しているだけです。

とてもシンプルです。

バランス接続では

アンバランスとバランスの変換回路が挿入されます。

音楽信号が余分な回路を通過すると考えることもできます。

そのためノイズや歪みは増加し、

周波数特性もわずかながら劣化します。

しかし、バランスではそれを上回る大きなメリットがあるのです。

It isn't always so.

The electronic circuit of audio equipment is unbalanced.

RCA This is just connected by an unbalanced connection of a cable.

Very simple.

A conversion circuit of unbalance and a balance is inserted by a balance connection.

Music signal passes an extra circuit.

Noise and a warp are increased.

A frequency response also degrades a little.

But there is a big merit which exceeds that in a balance.

バランスの方が音が良いのですか？と聞いたことがありました。

その方は「場合によってはバランスが良い。」とのこと…
