On June 18, U.S. government approved the sales of 720 suicide drones Switchblade (* SB300), up to 291 small drones, etc. to Taiwan, and notified to the Congress.
It's forecasted that it will be totally $360 million (approx. 56.8 billion) deal at most.

While taking China in mind which applies military pressure on Taiwan, the U.S. has pledged to provide Taiwan with weapons and defense assistance necessary for self-defense under the Taiwan Relations Act.
As it has bipartisan support, that it's forecasted that the Congress will approve that.
The U.S. government has explained the sale that it will improve Taiwan's defense capabilities and ability to deal with at present and future threats, it's therefore won't change the basic regional military balance.
