On Nov. 7, 2022, MBN in S. Korea conveyed over the crowd accident in Itaewon, Seoul, on Oct. 29, that "A large amount of the victim's belongings were recovered from the accident site. However, precious metals and wallets are rarely found out."
According to the article, the S. Korean police recovered about 1.5 tons of belongings, including 124 bags and 258 pieces of clothing, from the accident site. However, purses and precious metals -- such as rings, necklace, etc. -- weren't included among them.

A father, who lost his son in this accident, visited a lost and found center. Howevr, all he got back was shoes and a jacket, while the purse, which his son always carried, was never found out.
The father allegedly said that "Anything special or important weren't in his wallet. However, as it's a relic, that I want to find it out."

Some witnesses at the time of the accident allegedly testified that "I saw citizens who took precious metals and wallets away."

Korean national assembly, defense minister Lee Jong-sup explained that "the flag of the Maritime SDF vessel flag," being hoisted at the international naval fleet review, "is different from the Rising Sun flag," and was criticized by high-ranking official(s) during the Moon Jae-in administration as "a miserable excuse."

However, the SDF Law Enforcement Order enacted in 1954 stipulates that the design of the Rising Sun should be used for the flag of the SDF vessel flag, it's therefore doubtlessly one sort of the Rising Sun Flag.
It seems that he wanted to say that it's no problem even if the S. Korean military personnel who participated in the naval flet review ceremony salute to a flag different from the Rising Sun flag, which is denounced as a "war criminal flag" in S. Korea. However, it's irrational too much.

Even during the left-leaning Kim Dae-jung & Roh Moo-hyun administrations periods, it never rejected Japanese vessels hoisting the Rising Sun flag, therefore the assertion that "the Rising Sun Flag = war criminal flag" itself can be said to be a recently created "fictional history."
