On Nov. 2, the Japan Air SDF released that it conducted search and rescue training on Oct. 27 in the sea and airspace north of Miyakojima Island/Taramajima Island.
The site was near the Senkaku Islands, and similar drill was conducted in November last year.
It possibly supposed deployment of troops on the Senkaku Islands, and it seems that the aim is to strongly check China, which claims dominion.
The Air SDF explained that the purpose was "In order for regional stability, to show off to the international community the strong Japan-U.S. alliance and high capabilities" (* >"To enhance the Japan-U.S. bilateral response capabilities and to improve tactical skills)."

According to the Japan Air SDF, U.S. Air Force made one CV-22 and one MC-130J of the 353rd Special Operations Wing (Yokota Base (Tokyo) & Kadena Base (Okinawa)) participate in it.
Both are aircraft with special operations specificaiton.
The JASDF dispatched one U-125A search and rescue aircraft and one UH-60J rescue helicopter belonging Air Rescue Wing (Naha Base).
Similar models participated in the drill in November last year.

According to The Liberty Times in Taiwan and so on, during deliberation on the Defense Budget of the next fiscal year at a diplomacy & defense committee of the Legislative Yuan of the Republic of China, the headquarters of the Taiwanese navy explained that "A defensive submarine constructed in Taiwan is scheduled to be launched in May 2024" and revealed that "CSBC Corporation, Taiwan, which is in charge of production, revealed its intention to move up the schedule. In 2017, Taiwan started designing its original submarine, and plans to construct eight submarines by 2025.
Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen announced a plan to domestically construct its own warships, and from 2019 to 2026, NT$700 billion is invested in the shipbuilding project.
There are warnings in the U.S. that China will possibly invade Taiwan within this year, and military tensions between Taiwan and China are strained.
