日教組の教育研究全国集会に対する右翼の街宣行動が常軌を逸しているのは認める。一度全教の集会を取材したことがあるが、町中街宣車が走り回り、えらい騒ぎだったことがある。しかし、だからといって、ホテルが日教組の集会についていったん、貸す旨の契約をしておきながら、勝手に解除することが許されないのは当然のことだ。それが分かっていながら、プリンスホテル側は、一方的に契約を解除してきた。そこで、日教組は解除無効を求める仮処分を東京地裁に申請し、１２月には同地裁が解除無効の仮処分を決定。同ホテル側は異議申立をしたが却下、東京高裁への抗告も棄却された。こうして、日教組側の主張が全面的に認められたにもかかわらず、プリンスホテルは会場を貸すのを拒んだ。
もし、右翼の行為がホテルのほかの客に対する妨害になることを恐れているならば、警察にきちんと警備をするよう申し入れればよいだけのことだ。警察も普通のホテルの営業の妨害になるような行為に出たら、右翼を取り締まるはずだ。
いや、警察はどうせ右翼とつるんでいるから見過ごすだろうって…。これだけ注目を浴びてしまったら、警備にミスがあったら警察の汚点となるため、必死に警備したはずだ…。
プリンスホテルには企業としての社会的責任を果たそうという意欲がないらしい。もうプリンスホテル系の施設は一生利用しないことにする。仮にプリンスホテルで何か集会があっても、絶対に行かない。
各政党、新聞協会、民放連はこの際、ホテルの判断および毎年押しかける右翼の行動に対し、抗議声明を発するべきではないだろうか。

A Tokyo hotel is refusing to rent its hall to the Japan Teachers Union (Nikkyoso) for its national conference over the weekend due to concern that right-wing militants protesting against the union may cause trouble, despite a high court ruling requiring the hotel to honor a previous agreement with the union.
Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Minato Ward, Tokyo, where the plenary meeting of The National Conference on Educational Research is scheduled to be held from Feb. 2 to 4, told The Yomiuri Shimbun on Thursday that it would not allow the union access to the facility on Feb. 1 to prepare the venue for the meeting.
The teachers union, which was notified that the hotel intended to cancel the contract to rent the hall six months after the deal was signed in May, said it would like to start setting up the venue on the morning of Feb.1.
Seven of 56 of the union's past annual national conferences have been held in Tokyo. As a venue capable of seating more than 2,000 participants is required, the plenary meetings were held at such public facilities as the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium and Nippon Budoukan hall in the past. As these facilities had been booked for other events this year, the union selected the hotel as a venue and reservation was arranged by an event-planning company.
Extensive security measures have regularly been taken for the conference regardless of where it has been held in the past as rightists from around the nation have gathered to demonstrate at the conference and conduct propaganda activities.
The hotel explained it was canceling the contract because it expected the presence of rightist groups' sound trucks and a major security effort by the police would cause serious trouble and distraction for the surrounding community.
The hotel investigated the circumstances surrounding the conference last year in Beppu, Oita Prefecture, and found that more than 100 vehicles belonging to right-wing campaigners came to the venue to protest the union and more than 1,000 police officers engaged in guarding, checking passersby or blocking roads around the venue. The Feb. 2 plenary meeting of the two-day conference was to be held in the hotel's "Hiten," banquet hall, one of the largest in the country.
The teachers union signed the final contract with the hotel in May and paid an 11.55 million yen deposit--half of the rental fee--in July.
After the hotel notified the union it was canceling the contract in November, the union filed for and received an injunction to prevent the cancellation at the Tokyo District Court in December.
The hotel's appeal to the Tokyo High Court was dismissed on Jan. 30. The court ruled that trouble and confusion could be prevented by the hotel holding sufficient discussions beforehand with the police and the union to make appropriate arrangements.
Four similar cases over venues refusing to rent to the union for its national convention have come to the court, with the court siding with the union in each instance and the conference going ahead as scheduled. The hotel, however, is insisting it will not rent the hall to the union as the venue for the conference. A hotel spokesman said if the teachers union's members come to the hotel Feb. 1, they will be asked to leave.

ホテルとしては信用第一のはずなのに敢えてこんな無茶をするからには、きっと彼らなりに何か勝算があってのことのような気がするのですが、とりあえず自分もプリンス系列とはできるだけ縁を切ろうと思います＜最初から縁などないというツッコミは無しの方向で…。
しかし想像は容易じゃないです？だって、もう「ココで自民党党大会も以前に開かれ、右翼が押しかけた」とのキーワードは出ちゃってるンだから。
「裁判所の命令は一応公権力なんだから、ソレより上と商売人が考えそうな相手って誰ヨ？」って話でしょが！
要は、そんな悪名を被っても、尚も惜しくない程の「大口のお客様」と考えれば一発じゃあないですか？！
多分、ソノ「お客様」は、日教組の集会を開くんなら、もう、このホテルは使わない！とか何とか、婉曲な（？）脅し文句を言ったに違いないんですよ。
教育改革とかで、極最近も随分と目の仇にしてらっしゃいましたよね…！？
