皆様、いかがお過ごしでしょうか？
How are you doing today?
Hit-chanは仕事の方で色々動きがあって、この先、少し自分の生活が変わりそうなので、ドキドキワクワクしております。
Me? I've got some changes at my work, so I'm anxious that my life will be a little different soon.
さて、日本に帰った時に母と言った出雲旅行の続きです。
Okay, I'll finish the Izumo trip with my mom today.
神楽殿のしめ縄、久しぶりに見ましたが、やっぱり立派です。
This famous rice-straw rope is so incredible. This is not my first time to see it, but I got amazed again.
こうやって旅日記をブログに書きながら、ネットで知らない事を調べたりするんですが、このしめ縄についても、大勢の方が力を合わせて作られている様子を知ることができるサイトを見つけました。
As I"m writing my blog like this, I do online research about some things that I don't know. I also got to know how this big rope was made on a website through the research this time. It's so amazing to know that many people get together to make this holy rope.

こうして出雲大社が見てきた長い長い歴史を肌で感じていたら、こんな看板を見つけました。
While I was feeling the long long history that Izumo shrine has seen, I found this sign.
ポケモンGOって、凄い現代的。(笑)
"Pokemon Go is not allowed here." Such a modern sign. LOL
で、お参りが終わった頃にはお腹が空いてきたので、参道の方へ戻り。。。
After we're done with greeting the gods, we headed back to the approach.
少し歩いて、目についたお店に入りました。
We walked on the approach a little bit and got into a ramen store.
出雲に来たらやっぱり出雲そば。
Izumo is famous for the buck wheat noodles called "Izumo Soba"
母もHit-chanもお得なセット。
So, both mom and I got this meal.
出雲そばですが、正直なところ、めちゃくちゃ美味しい！！という感じでは無いんですが、出雲の雰囲気を楽しむのには良いと思いますよ。
To be honest with you, Izumo soba is not my favorite, but it's nice that you'd be able to feel Izumo history by eating them.
で、この日京都に帰る予定なんですが、帰りも深夜バスに乗って帰るので、夜の10時頃まで時間を潰す必要がありました。
We're going to go back to Kyoto this night, but we had to kill much time untill the night bus at 10pm.
ただね、Hit-chanの体力がかなり限界に来ておりまして、できるだけゆっくりじっとしていられる場所を探した結果。。。
Though, my energy was completely out at this point and we tried to find a place where we can just sit for a long time.
母がスマートフォンで調べてくれて、映画館に。
Mom googled on her phone and found this movie theater.
せっかくやから、邦画を見ようと思い、これに決定。
I was in Japan, so why didn't I watch a Japanese movie?
映画まで時間があったので、同じフロアにあったゲームセンターでちょっと遊ぶ事に。
We still had some time to the movie, so we decided to play at the arcade on the same floor.
プレーはしなかったんですが、中でもびっくりしたのがこれ。
We didn't play this, but I was so amazed.
競馬ゲームで、大きなスクリーンに迫力のあるレースが映し出されます。
It's a virtual horse race game. You can bet on your favorite horse and watch the race on the big screen. (It's a fake race, of course.)
何気に、ミネソタと日本のコラボ。
This is actually a collaboration of MN and Japan.
日本らしい商品。(笑)
So Japanesy!
母はエヴァンゲリオンのパチンコでひと遊び。（ゲームセンターのパチンコだよ。）
Mom played this Pachinko machine a little bit. (You don't bet real money on this one.)
で、映画の時間。母に促されて、ポーズする娘。(笑)
Okay, it's time for the movie. Mom told me to do this pause. LoL
これも日本らしいクリームソータを手に鑑賞。面白かったですよ。
This is a Japanesy thing. It's called cream soda, flavored soda with ice cream on top. The movie was good!
でね、この後、もうHit-chanの体力が限界になりまして、とりあえずバス乗り場の近く、母が荷物を預けているホテルに戻りました。
Okay then, I was totally worn out. I couldn't even keep standing, so we went back to the hotel near the night bus stop since we also wanted to pick up mom's bag there.
最初はロビーでバスの時間まで待たせてもらおうと思っていたのですが、それも辛くて、母が空いている部屋がないかフロントデスクまで聞きに行ってくれました。
I was going to just sit and wait until the bus time at the lobby first, but it was still too hard for me. So, mom asked the front desk if there's any room available.
ただ、この日は生憎満室との事。
Unfortunately, there's no room open that night.
それでも、フロントの方が「もし良ければ、ロビーの横にある共有場所を自由に使っていただいても大丈夫ですので。」と言ってくださったり、とても親切にしていただきました。
Though, they were super nice and said "If you'd like, you can use the space next to the lobby."
で、5分ほど、ロビーで座らせてもらってたところ、またフロントの方がこちらまで来て、「今、ちょうどキャンセルが出て、一泊の料金にはなってしまうのですが、部屋を使っていただけますが、どうなさいますか？」と聞きに来てくださいました。
We're sitting on a chair at the lobby 5 mins or so, a man from the front desk came to me and said "We just got a call to cancel a room. It's going to be one night charge, but if you don't mind it, we can have it ready for you. What would you like to do?"
本当、限界を超えてフラフラだったHit-chanは、少しでも横になりたかったのでお願いすることにしました。
Yeah, I was over the line and pretty sick at the point, so I asked them to get the room ready for us.
部屋に入るとすぐに横になり、母に勧められてお風呂に浸かる事にしました。
As soon as I went into the room, I fell down into the bed. Mom said I should take a bath, so I did.
その後もバスの時間までギリギリベッドで眠り、バスの時間10分前にホテルを後にしました。
After the bath, I was sleeping until the last minite in the bed. 10 minutes before the bus time, we checked out the hotel and thanked the staff again.
本当、こんな感じでめちゃくちゃお世話になったんですが、出雲のグリーンホテル、モーリスさん、最高です。皆様も、出雲に行かれる際にはぜひ。
They were so nice. If you go to Izumo, I recommend this Green Hotel Morris.
で、帰りのバスですが、ホテルで休ませてもらったお陰か、バスの仕様の違いなのか、行きより断然楽に京都まで帰ることができました。
Thanks to the rest at the hotel or the different bus seat, or both, the way back to Kyoto was much easier for me
本当はもっといろいろな所を回りたかっただろう母、Hit-chanの体力に最初から最後まで付き合って、あまり楽しめなかったかもしれません。
I guess my mom wanted to go around more places, but she had to do everything at my slow pase and it might make her time less fun.
でも、母のお陰でずっと行きたかった出雲大社へお礼参りに行けて本当に良かったです。
Still, I could say thank the gods in person thanks to mom and I really appreciate her.
という事で、久々の出雲旅行、心身ともにエネルギーを目一杯使い果たしちゃいましたが、大満足でした。
Okay, this is all about my Izumo trip. It'd been 7 years since I visited there last time and I used up all of my energy this time, but I'm so satisfied to make it happen anyways.
