日本の時間、世界の時間。
The time of Japan, the time of the world

What was even more impressive was the enthusiasm of the packed audience.

What was even more impressive was the enthusiasm of the packed audience.
October 16, 2021
The following is a chapter that I sent out using voice input on my phone.
I'm proud to say that I'm one of the best Major League Baseball spectators.
This year's Major League Baseball playoffs are the most heated in recent years.
The skill, concentration, power, and speed of the major leaguers are excellent.
What is even more impressive is the enthusiasm of the packed crowd.
When the home team has a chance and makes a good play, the stadium is filled with great vigor and cheering.
When the opposing team has a chance and makes a good play, the crowd is as quiet as a funeral.
The picture was different from usual.
It must be the 4K and 8K images.
I'm currently watching the Astros vs. the Red Sox.
Kike Hernandez, who moved from the Dodgers, made a super fine play to save his team from a pinch.
Shortly after that, he came to bat and hit an extra-big home run.
I couldn't help but murmur.
It's just like Superman.
It was the work of an irresistible force.
I've been a cool-headed Yomiuri Giants fan for a few years now, and I watched last night's Giants-Yakult game while rooting for Yakult, for reasons I'll explain later.
I will say that the Giants have succeeded in reinforcing their lineup this year, something they haven't done in years.
They acquired Smoak and Thames, both actual major leaguers.
Corona's time in isolation may have taken its toll, but the Thames suddenly ruptured his Achilles tendon in his first game and is now out for the season.
Smoak is a player who has batted fourth in the tremendous major leagues mentioned above.
A real major leaguer knows how to concentrate, breathe, and what angle to put the bat on the pitch.
His pitch selection is also top-notch, as already mentioned.
Smoak's only flaw was that he was slow.
However, the current situation has shown us that speed was not what the Giants needed.
I didn't see it, but I heard that in the game against Yokohama, when the Giants were winning big, Smoak was criticized for not sliding into home plate and getting touched out.
I didn't know anything about it, and since Smoak wasn't at the game the next day, I thought he might have been injured.
However, he was on the bench.
It must have been one of Hara's favorite punishments.
Soon after, Smoak left the team and returned to Japan, saying that he could not live with his family unable to come to Japan due to the Corona disaster.
I guess that the truth of the matter was that his pride as a major leaguer was hurt.
He didn't come to Japan to be a bench player.
This article continues.
