以下は有数の読書家である友人が、本当に読み応えのある論文や対談が満載だから、と、購読を勧められた、別冊正論「堕ちたメディア」、「メディアはなぜ堕ちたのか」の特集、その巻頭を飾っている門田隆将氏の論文からである。
日本国民のみならず世界中の人たちが必読の、この本は、926円なのである。
特に、月間約5,000円を払って朝日新聞を購読し、NHK等を視聴しているだけの人たちは、今すぐに、最寄りの書店に購読に向かうべきだろう。
国益そっちのけで韓国の肩を持つ'内なる敵'、と題して、先日ご紹介した章の続きである。


「法の支配」否定の'情治国家'
その後、韓国は日本に対してＧＳＯＭＩＡ（日韓秘密軍事情報保護協定）の破棄を通告し、「アメリカには理解を得ている」と表明していたが、アメリカからは「嘘をつくな。韓国には失望した」と言われ、文政権は追い詰められていく。　
八月二十九日には、文氏の極めっきの“暴言”が明らかになる。同日の閣議の冒頭で文氏はこんな発言をしてのけたのだ。
「一連の日本政府の態度はとても残念だ。日本はもっと正直であらねばならない。加害者が日本だということは動かせない歴史的な事実。一度反省を言ったので反省は終わったとか、一度合意したからといって過去の問題がすべて過ぎ去ったのだ、などと終わらせることはできない」　
そう語ったのである。
つまり、一度の合意で歴史問題は解決しないというのだ。歴史認識を蒸し返す朝日と全く同じやり方である。　
文氏のこの言葉をどう受け止めるか。
これは、突きつめると韓国という国家とは、たとえ合意して条約や協定を結んでも、それで「終わり」ではないという意味である。
すなわち、あれだけの反対を抑えて当時の佐藤栄作首相と杜止煕大統領との間で結ばれた一九六五年の日韓基本条約すら「有効ではない」ということだ。
韓国が国と国との約束を守らないということを自ら宣言したという点で、国際社会も驚きを隠せない出来事だったと言える。
さすがの朝日も、この「法の支配」さえ否定する韓国を記事で応援することはできなかったようだ。　
朝鮮戦争中に北朝鮮・咸興からの避難民の息子として生まれた文氏は、民主化運動で検挙された拘置所内で司法試験合格の報を受けた極めつきの親北人士だ。
慰安婦合意も、“徴用工”問題でも、すべてを反故にするこの人物に対して、朝日ら反日メディアも次第に支援が難しくなっている。
すればするほど、国民が「新聞という病」に気づいていくからだ。
文氏が引き起こす問題は、日本人をあらゆる意味で「覚醒させた」という点で歴史に残るものとなったことだけは間違いない。

それに、なんで北朝鮮を「朝鮮民主主義人民共和国」って長々と書くのよ。

実態は「朝鮮全体主義抑圧共和国」でしょ。
拉致事件が暴かれるちょっと前までは朝日が北朝鮮はパラダイスだ、さあ人民の国へ帰ろうっていう長いキャンペーンをやっていたわけです。
高山　
あれは朝日新聞が日本に唯一いいことをしたキャンペーンだった。
吉田茂の時代からお荷物だった在日を苦労しないで十万人も送り返せたんだから。

われ先にと、喜び勇んで帰っていったんでしょ。
それがやっぱり、今やっと人口に膾炙するようになったけど、拉致事件だって、私の同期の阿部雅美記者が第一報のスクープを報じても、事実上、マスコミは無視したわけですよ。
拉致に対するメディアの対応も日本の国を誤らせたんですよ。
高山　
横田めぐみちゃんの拉致が明らかになるきっかけになったのは、一九八七年の大韓航空機爆破事件。
犯人の蜂谷真由美こと金賢姫は日本の外交官の機転で身柄を抑えられた。
なのに慮泰愚の大統領選に有利だからと身柄を渡しちゃった。
向こうの調べで、金賢姫の語学担当が日本人だったことが判明するが、韓国にすれば日本人拉致は他人事だ。
あのとき日本が直に金賢姫を調べていれば、もっと速やかにめぐみちゃんにたどり着いたはずだ。
新聞が危機意識を持ち、政治判断にくさびを打つべきだった。

その後、外相だった田中眞紀子が金正男をあっけなく国外に出してしまっだのと同じだよね。
せっかく日本に飛び込んできたのにすぐ帰しちゃった、大失態。
それに大抵抗しなかったマスコミも悪いんですよ。
節目でマスコミが弱腰、政府も弱腰。
それで増長を続けた共産主義の親玉の中国がここまで膨張しちゃった。
高山　
やっぱりＷＧＩＰと共産主義と贖罪意識はリンクしている。
斎藤　
全部リンクしてるんですよ。
高山　
その代弁者が実は朝日新聞なんだ。
ただ共産主義について言えば、なんでもコミンテルンという決め方はヘンだ。
ロシア人にそんな能力はない。
コミンテルンは中国を操り、日本を操り、ルーズベルトも操って世界を動かしたような印象を受ける。
しかし実際はアメリカの戦後政策の中で、自分がやった悪だくみをすべてコミンテルンになすりつけた。
あたかもアメリカは善意の国でハル・ノートみたいな仕掛けはできなかった風にみせた。
スターリンが無能だったのは独ソ不可侵条約をもろ信じこんだのを見ても分かる。

それは違う。一方的にコミンテルンがアメリカをどうのこうのじゃありませんよ。
高山　
降って湧いたようにコミンテルンが割り込んでくるっていうと、話が全部ぶっ壊れちゃう。

入り込んでいたのは事実です。
ただ、逆にうまく利用したのかもしれないですね。
高山　
朝日新聞はまるでマルキシズムのように言うけど、それも違う。

アメリカはそれでもしたたかで日本のジャーナリズムを意のままに勁かすために記者対象のフルブライト留学生をいまだに続けている。
かくて親米反日の記者が次々出てきているというわけだ。

国益そっちのけで韓国の肩を持つ'内なる敵'
日本は不思議な国だ。
日本がどんなに正しくても必ずマスコミは外国の肩を持つ。
いや、外国というと範囲が広すぎる。
正確にいえば「中国」と「韓国」だ。　
昔は、ソ連や北朝鮮に対してもそうだった。
歪（いびつ）なニヒリズム、そして社会主義・共産主義幻想、さらに言えば「権力の監視」という言葉への自己陶酔。
日本の一般社会ではとても通用しないそんな「幻想」の中に浸り続け、そこから抜け出そうとしなかったのが日本のマスコミ・ジャーナリズムである。　
ベルリンの壁が崩壊し、ソビエト連邦も消え、日本でも社会党が消滅して「五十五年体制」もなくなった。かつては“地上の楽園”と囃し立てた北朝鮮の実態も明らかになった。
愛してやまなかった社会主義・共産主義が衰亡し、彼らは「何をやり始めた」のだろうか。
それが、「反日」である。
ベルリンの壁崩壊以降、ソ連や北朝鮮びいきの代わりに新聞はその中の「反日」に特化せざるを得なくなった。　
つまり、彼らは中国や韓国の言い分をそのまま代弁するようになったのである。
驚くべきことに、やがて自国を貶め、外国を利することを日本のメディアはジャーナリズムの使命と勘違いするまでになった。
日本の“内なる敵”である。
仮に９割の国民が日本政府を支持するような案件があっても、マスコミの感覚だけは違う。
とにかく自分の国ではなく、これを批判することの方が“カッコいい”のである。
彼らのそんな行動や陶酔の源泉には何かあるのか、私は『新聞という病』（産経新聞出版）を令和元年五月末に上梓し、その根源を私なりに解き明かし、読者に問うてみた。　
幸いにベストセラーとなり、大きな反響をいただいた。
しかし、本書を刊行後も「新聞という病」は、収まるどころかさらに露骨になっていった。　
いや、令和初めての夏は、新聞の病が逆に“全開”になったという意味で特筆されるものになってしまったのだ。
具体的には、韓国問題であり、さらには、「あいちトリエンナーレ」という愛知県の国際芸術祭でおこなわれた表現の自由・不自由をめぐる騒動である。
ここでは特に国益そっちのけで韓国の肩を持ったメディアに焦点を当ててみたい。
敗北の中から生まれた「嘘」　
誰もが認めるように戦後、日韓関係は最悪の状態となっている。
しかし、これは皮肉ではなく「大変喜ばしい」ことだ。
なぜなら、これによって今後、「真の日韓関係」が構築される可能性が初めて出てきたからだ。　
なぜか。
人間関係と同じように国家と国家がつき合っていく中では一定の「節度」と「敬意」が必要であることはいうまでもない。
ひたすら我を通し、相手の言うことに耳も傾けず、侮蔑し続ければ、良好な関係が築けないのは当たり前だ。　
では日韓関係はどうか。
私は、日本と韓国ほど不思議な関係は世界にもほかに例を見ないと思う。　
日本はどんな理不尽なことを言われようと、ひたすら我慢し、許容し、謝罪し続けた。
それが両国の友好のためになると信じた人も中にはいるだろうが、結果は逆だった。　
韓国は際限なく増長をくり返し、やがて日本に対して「何をやってもいい」「何でも許される」と思い込んだ。
国家間で必要な「節度」や「敬意」を払うことはまるでなくなり、中国やアメリカに対する態度とは全く異なる姿勢を続けたのだ。　
韓国は日本の中の「反日メディア」の助けを借りて、事実でもないことを“史実である”として次から次へと日本に突きつけてきた。　
慰安婦のありもしない強制連行や、白米や高給を求めて内地を目指した若者まで強制労働の被害者に「なりすます」ようになったのである。
慰安婦だ、創氏改名だ、徴用工だ、と一方的に日本は非難され続けた。
そして日本のマスコミは韓国の言い分をただタレ流したのだ。　
これに対して、約束を破り、条約を反故にし、わがまま放題の態度をとる韓国は、自分たちをアト押ししてくれる日本のマスコミを信じ、まったく態度を変えることはなかったのである。　
その意味で日本が七月一日に発表した措置は、ある意味、驚天動地のものだったと言えるだろう。　
日本政府は七月四日から韓国への輸出管理の運用を見直し、半導体の製造過程で不可欠な高純度フッ化水素等の輸出管理強化をおこなうことを発表したのである。　
この措置は、半導体業界をはじめとする韓国の基幹企業を直撃する。
同時に、先端材料などの輸出について輸出許可の申請が免除されている優遇制度「ホワイト国」から韓国を除外する方針も明らかにされたのだ。　
これに対する韓国の狼狽と怒りは凄まじかった。
それはそうだろう。
何をやってもいいはずの日本に初めて「反撃を食らった」のである。
飼い犬に手を噛まれた思いだったに違いない。
朝日・毎日の日本政府批判　
日頃から韓国の利益を代弁することで知られる日本のメディアはさっそく大反撃に出た。
韓国ではなく、日本政府の方針に牙を剥（む）いたのだ。
代表は朝日新聞である。
七月三日付の社説は激しかった。　
〈対韓輪出規制「報復」を即時撤回せよ〉と題された同欄は、どこからみても韓国の新聞そのものだった。
〈政治的な目的に貿易を使う。近年の米国と中国が振りかざす愚行に、日本も加わるのか。自由貿易の原則をねじ曲げる措置は即時撤回すべきである〉。
こんな文章で始まった社説は、安倍政権の措置は、韓国政府が納得のいく対応をとらないことへの対抗措置であり、G20の議長だった日本が「自由で公平かつ無差別な貿易」という宣言をまとめたにもかかわらず、〈多国間合意を軽んじる身勝手な姿をさらしてしまった〉と痛烈に批判した。　
その上で〈なぜいま規制なのか、なぜ安全保障に関わるのか、具体的な理由を国内外に堂々と表明すべきだ〉、また〈政治の対立を経済の交流にまで持ち込むことが、日韓関係に与える傷は計り知れない（略）今回の性急な動きは事態を一層こじらせている。機を合わせるように、韓国の司法当局は日本企業の株式を現金化する手続きを一歩進めた。韓国は世界貿易機関（ＷＴＯ）への提訴も検討するといい、報復の応酬に陥りかねない。日韓両政府は頭を冷やす時だ。外交当局の高官協議で打開の模索を急ぐべきである。国交正常化から半世紀以上、隣国間で積み上げた信頼と交流の蓄積を破壊してはならない〉　
そう主張したのである。
多くの国民が支持する政策を〈即時撤回せよ〉というのだから、日本人には到底理解できないものだった。　
朝日に負けじと日頃、韓国の肩を持っている毎日新聞は翌七月四日付社説で〈韓国への輸出規制　通商国家の利益を損ねる〉と題して、朝日同様こう主張した。　
〈資源に乏しい日本は活発な貿易で発展してきた。ルールに基づく自由貿易は通商国家の生命線だ。先週の主要20力国・地域（G20）首脳会議は、議長国の日本が主導して「自由で公正な貿易の実現」を宣言に明記した。これに逆行する輸出規制は国際社会の不信を招く。日本は規制拡大を検討している。韓国はＷＴＯへの提訴も辞さない構えだ。報復の連鎖は日韓の対立を決定的にしかねない。安倍政権には、韓国に強硬姿勢で臨み保守層にアピールするという思惑はないか。目先の人気取りで長期的な国益を損なってはいけない〉　
朝日新聞では、国際問題の社説を担当する記者が、こんなコラムまで書いている。　
〈最近の日本では、問題の解決より韓国を苦しめることが目的であるかのような言説も飛び交う。だが過去の問題のために未来の可能性を擒む権利は日韓どちらの政府にもない。日本政府の意見公募では政府案支持が圧倒的だそうだが、本当に解決につながるのか。問題の根は深い。韓国への措置に関わる、ある日本政府当局者は「本当はこんなことをすべきでない」と漏らす。その言葉には隣国へのいらだちと同時に、あえて悪手を指すことへのためらいがにじむ〉（「社説余滴」七月十四日付）　
都合よく匿名の“政府当局者”が登場して「こんなことをすべきでない」と宣（のたま）うのだ。
大いに眉唾もののコラムと言えよう。
いずれにしても、韓国を何としても救いたい気持ちがひしひしと伝わってくる。

フジサンケイグループのスクープ　
だが、日本も、政府を批判し、国民の気持ちと正反対のメディアばかりではない。
これらの日本メディアに痛烈に反撃したのはフジサンケイグループだった。　
フジテレビは、七月十日、韓国政府が作成した生物化学兵器に転用可能な物資の不正輸出リストを入手し、〈リストによると兵器に転用可能な物資が第三国に不正に輸出されていたことが判明。二〇一五年から二〇一九年三月にかけて、韓国から無許可で輸出された案件は百五十六件に上っている〉と報じた。　
その中には〈核兵器や生物化学兵器に転用される恐れがあるとして、国際社会が厳しく統制・監視している物資が掲載〉されており、まさに、日本側の輸出管理見直しの〈妥当性を示すもの〉だったのである。　
さらに翌十一日付産経新聞朝刊は、〈韓国企業が不正輸出　親北国へ化学兵器物資　シリア・イラン　国際管理に抵触〉と一面トップで報じた。　
そこには、生物・化学兵器を含む大量破壊兵器製造に転用可能な物資をシリアやイランなど北朝鮮の友好国に不正輸出したとして、韓国政府が複数の韓国企業を行政処分していたことがスクープされていた。　
同記事には、こうある。　
〈日本側は韓国向けの輸出規制強化の背景として、「輸出管理上の不適切な事案」を指摘。韓国側は世界貿易機関（ＷＴＯ）の物品貿易理事会で「貿易をゆがめる措置だ」などと撤回を求めているが、多数の企業が不正輸出を企図し、摘発されている事実は、韓国における戦略物資の不正な国際流通に対する甘い認識を浮き彫りにした格好だ〉　
北朝鮮との友好関係にある国々への主な不正輸出では、化学兵器原料に転用できる「ジイソプロピルアミン」がパキスタンに、サリン原料の「フッ化ナトリウム」がイランに、生物兵器製造に転用可能な「生物安全キャビネット」がシリアに、致死性ガス原料の「シアン化ナトリウム」が赤道ギニアに、といった事例があるという。　
また、日本政府による規制の対象となった「フツ化水素（酸）もアラブ首長国連邦に密輸されていたことが報じられた。
まさに日本が輸出管理の見直しをはかった理由が明らかにされたのである。
怯まない文在寅氏と朝日新聞　
しかし、文氏も、そして朝日も怯まなかった。
日本人を唖然とさせたのは、文氏自身の言葉だった。　
日本は、韓国の激しい罵声と抗議をよそに、八月二日午前の閣議で、輸出管理上の「ホワイト国リスト」から韓国を除外する政令改正を決めた。
この決定を受けて午後、文大統領は緊急国務会議を開催。その冒頭で耳を疑うような言葉を発した。
「とても無謀な決定であり、深い遺憾を表明する」　
「加害者の日本が盗人猛々しく大声をあげている状況を決して座視することはできない」　
「今後起こる事態の責任は全面的に日本政府にあることをはっきり警告する」　
盗人猛々しいーそんな言葉で相手国を罵る国家の領袖はなかなかお目にかかれない。
感情の赴（おもむ）くまま言葉が迸（ほとばし）っていることがわかる。
いずれにせよ日本人にはとても理解できない言葉だった。　
朝日はこれをどう報じたか。
八月三日第二面の「時時刻刻」欄は、〈安倍政権が、関係悪化の続く韓国に対し、「第２弾」の輸出規制強化に踏み切った。韓国は猛反発し、報復措置を打ち出した。トランプ米大統領は同盟国問の対立に積極関与する姿勢を示さず、日韓の緊張は東アジアの安全保障体制も揺さぶっている〉と、やはり日本批判の記事を展開。
この決定には安倍首相による支持層への配慮があるとして、〈強気の姿勢の背景には、安倍政権の支持層の存在もある。政府内には保守層を念頭に「ある一定の層にうける」「韓国に屈すれば、政権への支持が一気に落ち込む可能性がある」といった見方があった。　
７月24日まで実施した輸出優遇国除外のパブリックコメントには４万６６６件が殺到。
約95％が賛成だった。
ある経産省幹部は輸出優遇国除外を「（規制）品目拡大の一歩」と位置づけ、輸出規制強化の第３弾に乗り出す可能性も示唆した。外務省幹部は「ここからは長期戦だ」と話す〉　
朝日の刃は、「盗人猛々しい」「今後起こる事態の責任は日本政府にある」といった常軌を逸した言葉を発する側ではなく、あくまで日本に向くのである。　
朝日に文氏を指弾する姿勢は皆無で、どこまでも「安倍＝悪」の取り上げ方を崩さない。
この新聞は「どこの国の新聞だ？」と問われれば、おそらく百人が百人「韓国の新聞」と答えるに違いない。　
仮に安倍首相が「盗人猛々しい」などと発言したら、朝日はどう報じるだろうかと、ふと思った。
きっとこれ以上はないほどの批判を展開したに違いない。それを思うと、なぜこの新聞が「日本で生きていけるのか」、私には不思議でならない。

不自然な説明と新たな衝撃事実　
我々は即座に「なぜこれらふたつの記事にだけ検索を回避するメタタグが挿入されているのか？」という質問状を朝日新聞に送った。
同時に産経新聞と夕刊フジがこの問題に着目し、同様の質問を朝日新聞に送った。
朝日新聞からの回答（８月31日付）は次のようなものだった。　
2014年８月22日に慰安婦問題に関する英文記事を複数配信しました。その際、記事に検索回避タグを設定し、社内の確認作業を経たのちにこのタグを解除して一般公開しました。このうち見出しが長いことから別のシステムを使って作業していた２本で、一般公開はしたものの、検索回避タグの設定解除作業の漏れがあったことが分かり、修正いたしました。詳しくは工記のとおりです。
１；記事の体裁等を最終確認するため、検索回避タグを設定して外部配信
２；確認後に順次、タグを解除
３；このうち２本で設定解除作業が漏れる　
周囲の複数のＴＩＴエンジニアによると、このような運用はまず１００％あり得ないという。
この通りだとしたら、朝日新聞は確定前の記事にわざわざ検索回避のメタタグを付けて外部環境でチェックしていることになる。
通常、確認作業は必ず外部からはアクセスできない環境で行うのが常識だ。
これは私のような初歩的な知識と経験しかないものにもわかることで、この朝日新聞の説明を額面通り信じるエンジニアは皆無に近い。　
それにしても、よくもこのふたつの記事にだけ作業漏れがあったものだが、要は、検索回避のメタタグを付けた目的は公開前の確認作業で、メタタグが残ったのは作業漏れだったという説明である。　
この頃までに、複数の専門知識があるネット民から私に様々なアドバイスや仮説の提供があった。
そこで私は、友人のエンジニアに付き合ってもらい、改めて自分自身でそれらの仮説を検証することにした。
夜のファミレスであらゆる角度から英語と日本語の関連記事を検証した。　
すると、見落としていた事実が浮上した。
なんと、「挺身隊と混同」の日本語オリジナルの記事（「『挺身隊』との混同　当時は研究が乏しく同一視」）にも検索回避のメタタグが人力されていたのだ。
確かに、いくら検索しても、この記事に直接辿り着くことができない。
そこで私が考えたことは、このメタタグがいつ挿入されたかを検証することだ。
ネットには、世界中のウェブサイトの履歴を片っ端から保存しているサイトがある。
このサービスを利用して、この記事が2014年８月５日に初めて公開された際の状態を確認するのだ。
幸い、当時のファイルが保存されていた。
さっそくソースページを調べてみると、ない。
検索回避メタタグが見当たらないのだ。
どうやら、問題のメタタグは2017年の９月以降に挿入されたらしいことがわかった。
これはどういうことか？　
このメタタグは記事公開のずっと後になって、何らかの目的で恣意的に挿入されたのだ。
これを前述の「公開時の作業漏れ」で説明することはできない。
疑惑は深まった。
隠したかったとしか思えない　
９月９日付の産経新聞朝刊によれば、本件に関する産経新聞の質問に対し、朝日新聞は次のように答えたという。　
「８月23日に英語版のタグについて産経新聞の取材を受けた際、日本語版の記事についても確認作業をした。その際に配信システムの操作を誤り、記事の設定が変わっていたことが分かった」（記事より引用）
前回が「公開時の作業漏れで削除を忘れ」で今回は「英語版からメタタグを削除する作業の流れでチェックした日本語版に間違ってメタタグを加えてしまった」。　
そんなことがあり得るのか。
朝日新聞の回答には全く現実味がない。
しかし、メタタグ以外にも新たな発見があったのだ。
朝日新聞は、11本の日本語の記事にも英語の記事にも、公開当初はなかった公開期限を設定していた。
その公開期限を過ぎると、記事は朝日新聞のサイトから姿を消し、検索することもできなくなる。
英語記事の公開期限が2100年１2月１日、そして日本語記事の公開期限がなぜか2019年４月30日なのだ。
つまり、日本語の記事11本は、平成の世の終わりとともに消滅するようにプログラムされているのである。
産経新聞によると、これに対する朝日新聞の回答は、「朝日デジタルの記事の大半は一定期間を過ぎると公開されなくなる。慰安婦問題の記事は長期の公開が必要と考え、2016年４月に仮の設定として公開期限を2019年までとした」というものだった。　
実は、日本語の「挺身隊との混同」の記事の履歴を検証すると、朝日新聞が過去にもこの記事の公開期限を操作していた形跡があり、2015年８月から2017年４月ぐらいまで、１年８ヵ月程度検索できない状態になっていた期間が存在したらしいことがわかっている。
この記事の場合、さらに検索回避のメタタグを追加していた。
朝日新聞には、どうしてもこの記事を隠したい特別の理由があるのだろうか。

―日本で扇動が幅を利かせやすくなっている背景には何かあるのでしょうか？

私はマスコミの影響が大きいと思います。

マスコミは事実を国民に伝えることで民主主義社会を支えてきたのですが、最近はそうした責任を軽視しているように思えます。

実際、朝日新聞が誤りを認めた慰安婦報道などの影響で、少なくない数の国民が「マスコミは自分たちに都合の良い事実だけを知らせているのではないか」と不信感を抱くようになっています。

国民が「事実を知る手段がない」と思うようになると、扇動はますます幅を利かせやすくなるでしょう。

また、マスコミと共に国民から「正しい事実を伝えてくれている」と頼られていた検察も、厚生労働省の村木厚子元局長の無罪が確定した証拠改竄を機に国民の信を失いました。

事実を解明すべき検察と、事実を国民に知らせるべきマスコミへの信頼が地に落ちている現状は、まさに「ゲッベルス」を生みやすく、とても危険だと思います。　

突き詰めて考えると、民主主義にとっては、マスコミの扇動的な報道を鵜呑みにする人が増えることも危険だし、逆に扇動的な報道によってマスコミ不信が強まり過ぎることも危険だということです。

扇動は独裁者を生みかねません。

マスコミの一部に「視聴率が上がるならば少しくらい扇動してもいいや」という安直な考えがあるとしたら、そのような無責任な姿勢が国民の理性を麻痺させ、それに乗じる「モンスター」を誕生させてしまうかもしれないという危機感を持つべきだと思います。

マスコミが生み出した独裁者にマスコミ自身が食べられてしまう、つまり、倒されてしまうことも考えられます。

だからこそ、マスコミはあくまで正確な事実を国民に伝えることを重視し、権力をいかに批判するかは国民の理性的判断に委ねるべきだと思います。　

－『正論』2017年10月号のインタビューで、モーリー・ロバートソンさんが同じような懸念を示されていましたが、政治家やマスコミが扇動の危険性を自覚しているようには見えません。

非常に深刻だと思いますね。

野党は決裁文書書き換えについて「民主主義の危機だ」「民主主義に対する挑戦だ」などと言っていますが、本質を外していると思います。

もっとも心配すべきは「このまま国民の感情・情緒に訴えるという手法が一般化していくと、日本にモンスターが生まれてしまうのではないか」ということです。

実際、世界を見渡せば“独裁者”が跋扈する時代を迎えつつあるように見えます。

つまり、政党政治そのものに対する信頼が揺らいでいるという見方もできる。
