The following is from an article by Masayuki Takayama, which appeared in yesterday's issue of Themis, a monthly magazine dedicated to subscriptions.
This article also proves that he is the one and only journalist in the postwar world.
It also proves that no one else deserves the Nobel Prize for Literature or Peace but him.
It is a must-read not only for the Japanese people but for people worldwide.
Zelensky should learn from Japan and carry out the "Moscow Raid.
It is time to attack the Russian mainland, following the brilliant strategy that Japan executed with courage and wisdom in the Greater East Asia War.
Journalist Masayuki Takayama
You compared the Russian invasion to Pearl Harbor. There was something I did not understand when I watched the war in Ukraine.
Why doesn't Zelensky attack Moscow?
Russia suddenly invaded Ukraine and tried to control it by attacking Kyiv while killing all the civilians.
Putin probably wanted to annex Ukraine to Russia and make it a Greater Slavic Commonwealth under the guise of Belarus.
Zelensky, however, had not forgotten Putin's blitzkrieg attack on Crimea.
He immediately disrupted the Russians' communication network as they began their campaign.
He intercepted their unavoidable cell phone communications, locked on to them, and reversed course, blasting Russian T90 tanks with missiles.
As a result, Putin's invasion of Ukraine, which should have taken -weeks, is still not over two and a half years later.
Russian casualties reached 20,000 in that first year, surpassing the 15,000 killed in the Afghan invasion that led to the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the current death toll is over 50,000, approaching the US Vietnam War casualties.
The Japanese know the Russians' sneaky way of fighting.
They broke the non-aggression pact without notice and attacked Japan from behind just before the acceptance of the Potsdam Declaration.
They even attacked non-combatant Japanese citizens and set up a hell of looting and rape in Manchuria.
How horrific was this?
At the Futsukaichi sanatorium in the port of Hakata, where the repatriation ships entered, abortions were performed on women who had become pregnant as a result of rape.
Still, the statistics that remain there show that half of the rapists were Russian and the other half Korean.
In defiance of international law, Russia took 600,000 prisoners of war to Siberia and enslaved them for ten years.
It is as brutal as the atomic bombing.
Putin must have thought that such barbarity would prevail this time as well.
What a screw-up.
As for the future of the war, Putin is so stubborn that he will not even call a ceasefire.
On the contrary, he has been going around assassinating his subordinates and journalists who are critical of him.
We cannot hope for Putin's suicide now that things have come to this.
But I can understand the hearts of the citizens who hope he will get sick at least.
But for some reason, the man is in excellent health and is still going to China and Korea in high spirits to procure weapons and ammunition.
In such a situation, Zelensky is the only person to turn to, but what is he thinking?
During his visit to the U.S., he likened Putin's unexpected invasion to "Pearl Harbor."
What a rude man.
In that war, F. Roosevelt, who was more cunning than Putin, placed the U.S. Pacific Fleet in Hawaii as a decoy and then harassed Japan in various ways to force Japan to attack Pearl Harbor.
The good-natured Japanese, including Isoroku Yamamoto, were fooled by that.
Not understanding this, he blunders through Japan and then begs for money.
Unless they apologize to the Japanese people for their rudeness, there will be no more aid for them.
Japan went to war against Britain, the U.S., and the Netherlands, who were all proclaiming colonial imperialism.
At its feet, Chiang Kai-shek, bought with money by the U.S., is biting.
Even so, Japan fought for three years to the best of its ability without begging anyone for money.
Don't hesitate to hit the border posts. Besides, Zelensky was begging for money, weapons, and fighter planes.
And yet, perhaps because they didn't want to anger Russia towards them seriously, they didn't attack mainland Russia either.
In August, for the first time, a brigade of Ukrainian soldiers invaded Suzya in the Russian Kursk region.
There was a Russian nuclear power plant there and a pipeline control facility that supplies natural gas to Europe.
If the plant is damaged, it would be a repeat of Chornobyl, and if the natural gas goes out, the attitude of Europe, which had been holding back, would change.
Putin was taken aback and issued an angry statement.
According to foreign news agencies, Putin is now busy responding to the situation, including rushing Russian troops who had been attacking Kharkiv back to Susiya.
The border is long.
And just like Sujiya, there are many vital bases where the loss of the Russian side would be fatal.
Taking inspiration from Sujiya, they should launch surprise attacks here and there like whack-a-mole and then quickly withdraw.
If they do this repeatedly, the Russian side will panic.
There should be no hesitation during a war.
Japan also hesitated at Midway in the last war, and the Ozawa Fleet hesitated and lost the battle.
If you repeat such a surprise attack, you will surely be able to reach beyond the Kursk Province.
Beyond that point, even Napoleon could not reach Moscow.
If that were to happen, Putin has threatened to use tactical nuclear weapons in retaliation.
However, if he did that, it would be the end for Putin this time.
Ukraine should use all the power it has at its disposal.
But what if he runs out of bullets and weapons to fight with?
No worries.
Japan, which had nothing to fight in the last war, created a magnificent intercontinental ballistic bomb to counter the B-29's bombing of the mainland.
The hint came from meteorologist Wasaburo Oishi.
At the time, it was thought there was no wind above the tropopause, but he discovered a jet stream blowing eastward at 60 meters per second.
Balloon bombs that plunged the entire United States into chaos. It was discovered that if a hydrogen gas balloon made of konnyaku balls and Japanese paper could be placed on top of it, it would fly to the continent of the United States.
The weight it could carry was 35 kg.
Thus, under the B-29 air raid, 9,000 balloon bombs were sent into the air, and 300 of them hit the U.S. mainland.
They blacked out the Oak Ridge atomic bombing facility and inflicted human casualties.
The bombs fell without a sound, and the rumor that they were loaded with anthrax caused panic throughout the United States.
After receiving the report, 900 CDC Disease Control and Prevention Committee members, clad in white robes and masks, cordoned off the area.
It sent shivers down the spine of the city.
It was nothing compared to the 250-kilogram bombs of the B-29s, but it gave the American citizens a taste of the terror under air raids that they had inflicted on other citizens.
Even if you are poor, if you have courage and wisdom, you can fight as much as you want.
If Zelensky had time to talk badly about Japan, he should have tried to learn a little about the Japanese way of fighting.
