トロントのVIA駅に到着 【 I arrived VIA rail station of Toronto. 】

寝台車のチェックイン【 I check in the sleeping cars. 】

シーズンオフで一人＄５９２　３泊４日（食事込）

【 The price was $592 for each out of season. and it was 3 night 4 days include meal. 】

スタッフの方が好意で、広い所に変更してくれ

【 Staff were kind to us then they changed our booth to make large space.yeah^^ 】

４人分の場所を２人で使用　ここ座席

【 I and my friend used this space. There was for 4 persons. and it keep seats. 】

座席の上はベット　でも使用しません

【 Look up of seats. This was upper bed. but we didn't use it. We had another space. 】

お手洗い　ここは私達だけなのでほぼ貸し切

【 It was washroom. There was only us in this car so here was almost chartered washroom for us.^^ 】

食堂車　寝台利用者専用で上品、綺麗

【 Dining car was for passenger of sleeping cars. There was very graceful and clean. 】

フリースペース【 There was free space. 】

しっかりと座席利用者、寝台利用者と別れていて

【 There was firm separating passenger of seats and passenger of sleeping cars. 】

上品な乗客と行届いたサービスは後悔致しません

【 Elegant passenger and good service, It didn't make me to feel regretfully.^^ 】

個室を撮影【 I took photos. 】

個室よりベッドだけの方が広い？

【 I thought Berth are bigger space than single bed room. 】

お世話になります（笑）　【 Hi, VIA train Nice to meet you. lol 】

発車後　早速ベットを準備しに

【 They prepared for our beds at once after departure. 】

私達の座席の隣に２段ベッド　【 Our beds were beside our seats. 】

上段のベット　あとでカーテン付きます

【 This was upper bed after that to get the curtains. 】

下段ベット完成　下段は窓付

【 Lower bed was done. Lower bed had the window.^^ 】

水やアメニティーも満足

【 I was satisfied with a bottle water and amenity. 】

上段完了　上段は窓なし

【 Also, upper bed was done, there was no window. 】

私は上段　この後、夢の中へ

【 I slept with upper bed and then come to my dream. yeah 】

翌朝　朝食メニュー　電車が揺れているのでピントが

【 Next morning, this was menu for breakfast but this picture is out of focus because, train was always moving..oh.. 】

人気のオムレツ【 An omelet is popular. 】

ハムエッグ　トロントでのハードスケジュールもあってこの後ベット戻り

【 Ham and egg. after that I had a nap cause, it was hard schedule in Toronto. So I was really tired.ha ha 】

そしたら、お昼【 Then, it was time for lunch. wow ha ha 】

美味しそうでしょ？　【 This lunch looks so nice, isn't it?  】

こちらも、シェア　【 Also this, we were sharing it. 】

デザートも　【 and this^^ 】

シェア【 sharing !! 】

寝台利用者専用のラウンジへの通路

【 This is on the way lounge for passenger of sleeping cars. 】

ジュース、フルーツ、クッキー、カップケーキ　は無料

【 Juice and fruit and cookie and cupcake were free.wow 】

年齢層は高めで、上品な方々が多かったので

【 There was lots of elegant people　and the middle age group. 】

あまり、カメラを向けれず【 So, I couldn't　focus my camera on them.oh.. 】

ここで３０分ほど停車【 The train stopped here for 30 mit. 】

何か運送しているのかな？　【 I guess they ship something to here. 】

ストレッチしたり、歩いたりして気分転換しました

【 And then, I took a walk and stretched for a change.yeah^^  】

トロントからナイアガラまでの往復バスチケット　＄４８

【 This was a round-trip ticket to Niagara form Toronto. It was $48. yeah^^ 】

『コーチカナダ』　【 This was "Coach Canada" 】

このホテルに滞在　割安だし立地もお部屋も良かったです

【 We stayed in this hotel.

 The price was reasonable and clean room and good location. yeah^^ 】

お昼ごはん　大好きなペンネ　【 Lunch, it's my favorite penne. ha ha^^ 】

ナイアガラの滝まで歩いていく途中

【 Those were on my way Niagara on foot. 】

アメリカの国境が近いのもあって　【 There was close the border of U.S. 】

アメリカンチック　【 It was similar to U.S. wow !! 】

ワクワクてました　【 I was excited.♪ 】

じゃじゃ～ん　【 Tadaa!! look !! look !! 】

もう一方側　【 The other side. 】

でっかい　【 How huge !! wow 】

乗船のお客様　ご苦労様です（笑）

【The departure's gate was only this and uninhabited.really!! 】

その後、トロントへ戻り　【 After that time, we went back to Toronto. 】

トークン（チケット）を購入し、路面電車でVIA鉄道の駅へ

【 And, we bought TOKENS after that, went to VIA rail station by street car. 】

【 I was staying at this hotel. 】

お友達と合流しナイアガラの計画完了後街へ

【 I met my friend in here and made plan about Niagara befor go to Downtown. 】

ゴミ箱とトロント【 It was "Toronto" with a garbage can. 】

中華街の裏道を変えれば全く違う雰囲気

【 There was back street of Chinatown. So, There had lots of faces each street. 】

無反応な犬この犬洗いたい

【 The dog was no reaction and I wanted to wash this dog. ha ha 】

お昼は中華　【 The lunch was Chainese food. 】

何だろう【 I dunno what was that? 】

トロントのお家は趣きがあって見るだけで楽しい

【 The house. Houses of Toronto had attraction. I enjoyed just looking at houses. 】

見事な楓　カナダですね【 Beautiful maple tree. It was exact Canada. 】

本屋さん【 Book store. 】

立派な建物【 Wonderful building. 】

トロント・イートン・センター　【 Toronto Eaton Center.  】

ホルトレンフリューっていう総合ブランドショップはエドモントンの５倍かな！？

【 HOLT RENFREW is total brand shop,

 it was about five times as large as Edmonton's? 】

大きな街【 So, Toronto is big big biiiiig city.!!!! 】

実は絶対に譲れない予定が

【 In fact, I had a plan to go to this shop. It could never give up!! 】

ここトロント在住の日本人の方に教えてもらったお店

【 This shop. I got it from one of Japanese living in Toronto.  】

何を買ったかは内緒 【 what did I buy? It is secret.lol 】

夜はインディアン【 The dinner was Indian food. 】

久しぶりだったせいか街散策よりも沢山お話して

【 We talked longer than took a walk in the city.

　Because, I haven't see my friend for a long time. 】

楽しい会話と美味しい食事

本当の旅のメインはこれなのかもしれませんね

翌日、チェックアウト後ナイアガラ行きのバス『カナダコーチ』に乗り

【 Next day, we took the bus "Canada Corch" to Niagara after check out. 】

CNタワー　世界一高いタワー

【 This was the CN tower. It is the most highest tower in the world.  】

ロジャーズ・センター【 the Rogers Centre 】

高層タワーもたっくさん【 Lots of high-rise building.wow 】

 そしてナイアガラまで２時間バスに揺られ

【 And , we were on the bus to the Naiagara for 2hour. 】

夢見ては窓に頭ブツけました

【 I dreamed on the bus as knocking my head at the window.lol 】

気が付いた日本とカナダの違い

【 I realized what is the difference between Japan and Canada. 】

ハンドル

【 About driver's seat 】

右ハンドルと左ハンドル運転してみて分かったのですが

【 I realized about it after drive with leftside driver's seat. 】

全然難しくない

【 It was not difficult. 】

いつも運転席が道路の中心にあるので大きな間違いはしないです

【 Because, driver's seat is always inside of road. 】

車内のマットレス

【 About mattress. 】

やたらと凸凹していて

【 It's very uneven. 】

雪が理由かなと

【 I guess that reason is snow. 】

 

電気コード

【 About a cord of car. 】

エドモントンの車は全部電気コードが付いてます

【 All of car has cord in Edmonton. 】

バンパーから見えるコード

【 We can see it from a bumper. 】

使い方は簡単そう

【 I think it's easy to use it. 】

が、いったいどういう効果があるのか知りません

【 But, I don't know what is effect and I never use it.oh 】

【 About turn right 】

日本は右折時信号は青

【 In Japan, signal is green right when turn right. 】

カナダでは赤信号でも右折できます

【 But, in Canada, can turn right even if signal is red light. 】

ってか早く行けって！！クラクションならされたり

【 And someone blow the horn when I stop there. So he wanna say "keep going" for me. 】

効率がいいカナダ

【 It is very efficiency in Canada. 】

カナダ在住の方、日本での運転時気をつけてください

【 All of people living in Canada, please Be careful when you drive in Japan. 】

日本では赤はいつも止まれです

【 Red right is always stop sign.!! 】


踏切

【 About railroad crossing. 】

日本では通過する前に必ず一旦停止

【  Must stop befor drive past it in Japan. 】

カナダでは通過するとき一旦停止すると事故します！！

【 I will get an accident if stop there like Japanese rule in Canada. 】

みんな止まりません。なぜなら貨物列車がメインだから

【 Nobody stop there. Because, freight train is main. 】

電車がもし目の前を通過すると

【 If train pass the way 】

そこで１０分から２０分待機

【 when we have to wait for it for between 10 and 20 mit. 】

電車が超長い！！（笑）

【 It is very very long train. It's very fun.lol 】

【 About gas station 】

日本はセルフスタンドは20%くらいかな？

【 About 20% of gas station are self-service in Japan. 】

カナダは９９％セルフ

【 It's 99% self-service in Canada. 】

カナダは寒いからか？

【 Is reason too cold in winter in Canada? 】

車検

【 About vehicle inspection 】

日本では２年に一度車検。１０万前後かな？

【 In Japan,  we have to take inspection once two year. It's useally $1000 at one time. 】

カナダにはありません

【 In Canada, never. 】

どの車も車検証もっていない

【 So, all of car have no inspection certificate. 】

なので、車齢１３才以上の車沢山見れます

【 And I can see lots of over 13 age cars in Canada.ha ha 】

日本は安全ですね。だけど自由に乗れるカナダも悪くない

【 Japan is really safety. But it's not too bad cause can drive long time by one car in Canada. 】

何せ、車検ってよく考えると高い

【 Besides, inspection is really expensive.wow 】

【 About tax 】

５月に払う車の税金

【 We have to pay vehicle's tax every May. 】

一台１５０００円から３００００円かな？

【 It's between $150 and $300 at one time. 】

カナダにはありません

【 In Canada, never. 】

 

教習所

【 About driving  school 】

日本ではみんな行く教習所

【 Almost　all of people go to school before get a license in Japan. 】

費用約２５万に２ヶ月ほど通う学校

【 It was $2500 for lesson and go to there for about 2 month. 】

カナダはありません

【 In Canada, nothing like that. 】

筆記テストで合否

【 Only witten exam. 】

教習所に行けば練習できるのと、保険が一部免除になるようです

【 If go to driving school then can take lesson and after that exempt cost from part of insurance. 】

そう、ほとんどの人が路上で練習しているって事！！

【 That means is that lot of people practice on the road.wow 】

ちょっと不安。。。

【 About greeting. 】

日本では車同士の挨拶って沢山ありますよね

【 In Japan, we can talk lots of greeting by cars.ha ha 】

ハザード　【 hazard  】

パッシング　【 passing 】

ウィンカー 【 indicator 】

『ありがとう』　『ごめんなさい』　『警察いるよ』　『渋滞してるよ』

『お先にどうぞ』　『追い越すよ』　『駐車しますよ』　『路肩に止めますよ』　など

【 we can talk another car as useing signal "thank you"  "sorry" 

 "there is police" "there is traffic jam" "go ahead"

 "get ahead" "get parking" "get parking shoulder of  a road" etc... 】

友達に話すと驚かれました！！

【 I told my friends about that story then they were realy surprised. 】

『カナダでそれをすると事故するよ』って（笑）

【 And then my friend said " if you use signal like that when you will get an accident. lol 】

特にハザードが駄目！！

【 Hazard lamp is especially bad signal.oh 】

駐車時やありがとうの挨拶にはハザードは使用NG

【 Don't use it when to get parking and greeting in Canada. 

  In Japan, we often use it. 】

それでも、何か『ありがとう』的な事が言いたい私

【 I still wanna say something like "thank you". 】

いつも車の中で頭を下げたり手を振ってみたり（笑）

【 So, I move my head or hand when someone give me the way. 】

きっと変な奴です

 【 Maybe I am so weird for them. lol 】

車に毛布やジャケットを必ず入れておきなさいって言われました

【 my friend said "I have to keep a jacket and a blanket in my car." 】

車が何らかの不良で真冬に止まってしまったら

【 If my car get something worng then doesn't work in winter.oh 】

誰かが来るまで、お店に入れるまで

【 I need those staff untill someone help me 】

毛布やジャケットが必要になると

【 or to get into the store. 】

車の中では薄着になりやすいからですね

【 I am usually thinly dressed in the car.yeah 】

【 And I put a jacket and some pocket body warmer in my car.ha ha 】

久しぶりの更新です

前回の更新から、トロント、ナイアガラ、VIA鉄道と旅行し、

【 After that time, I went to Toronto, Niagara Falls, to take VIA rail 】

ハロウィンのパーティーなど忙しい日々を過ごしていました

【 After that, I had a party for Halloween. I was very busy. 】

噂のGM　シボレーのオプトラ

【 There is a rumor GM . Chevrolet Optara of GM. lol 】

アメ車人生で一度は挑戦してみたかったので

【 It's American. I wanna try it just one time in my life. 】

 

実はこの車、何年か前まで日本でも発売されいたようです

【 In fact, GM sold this type of car in Japan until a few years ago. wow 】

深い赤色のセダン

【 It is deep red color. 】

 

 

もちろんオートマティックに左ハンドル

【 Of course, it is automatic　and a driver's seat is left side. 】

 

純正ナビが一般的でないカナダ

【 Dealer's original GPS is not general thing in Canada. oh..】

持ち運び便利な小さなナビを購入２００ドル

【 I bought convenient and small GPS for $200 !! 】

CDプレーヤーはありがたいことにipod再生可能

【 And I'm lucky. CD player can work with Ipod. yeah !!!!】

ナビとiopdのコードで若干ごちゃごちゃしてます

【 GPS's cord and Ipod's cord are jumbled up together. ha ha ha 】

 

パワーウインドウにパワーミラー

【 There are power window and power mirror. 】

これは譲れないって言い続けて

【 I never give in to it on this point.  】

この車にたどり着きました

【 So, I found this car. so happy：) 】

乗ってから暖まるの待ってたら氷になっちゃいます

【 If I'm waiting  for my car to get warm in winter then I will be ice. lol 】

それとスタッドレス履かせました３６０ドル

【 My car is wearing snow tire. It's $360. 】

 

保険契約完了

【 I made a contract of insurance. yeah：)】

２３００ドル一年間

【 It's $2300 for 1 year. 】

年齢と、運転免許を５年以上持っている、

それと中古車ってことが評価されこの値段です（笑）

【 It's not really expensive.

 Because, my car is used car and I have driver's license for 5 year and my age..】

 

カナダは基本的に物価は高くないですが

【 In Canada. Prices are not high. But except cars... 】

車は日本の二倍から三倍ってところでしょうかね

【 Cars of price are about 2 or 3 times as price as Japan. oh..  】

これは中古車市場だけかなと

【 But, I think  it's only used cars market. 】

価値が下がるのがゆっくりなんですきっと

【 Cause is that. Cars decreases in value slowly than Japan. 】

日本では１年１万キロ　カナダは１年２から３万キロが一般的

【 In Japan. We drive car 10000㎞ for 1 year.

  But in Canada 2 or 30000㎞ for 1 year. 】

だから減価償却がゆっくりなんですね

【 That's why.  Depreciation is slow. Un-huh....】
