鹿児島県 Kagoshima Prefecture

最後に訪ねたのは鹿児島県でした。最初に長崎に行って、『最高～～～』と思って、次に宮崎に行って「う～～～ん」と思って、最後に鹿児島にいって「最高～～～」と思いました。

ということで、今のところ、日本で一番好きなところはどこかと言えば、長崎県と鹿児島県がともに１位になっています。

Kagoshima was the last place on my visit. First I went to Nagasaki and thought, "This place is the BEST!" Then I went to Miyazaki and thought, "Hrmmm..." Last I went to Kagoshima and thought, "This place is the BEST!"

So as it stands, my very favorite plances in Japan are currently Nagasaki and Kagoshima, both tied for first.

ちょっと気になったのは鹿児島の有名な火山でした。生まれて初めて本物の火山を見たし、噴火しているところが非常に面白かったが （ちょっと煙が出ているくらいでも「噴火」というかな？）、歩道に灰がたまっているのを見たら、空気も汚れているわけかな？と思いました。汚れているというか、長年灰が入っている空気を吸っていると病気になったりしないかな？と。

Something that I wondered about was the famous volcano in Kagoshima. It was the first time in my life I'd ever seen a real volcano, and it was fascinating to see it erupting. But when I saw all the ash piled up on the sidewalk, I wondered if the air was dirty, too. Not really dirty, persay, but I wondered if people get sick from breathing in air mixed with ash for years at a time.

鹿児島が美しくて、楽しくて、人もすごく優しいけど、住むとしたら長崎にしよっかなー？

Kagoshima is gorgeous, a lot of fun, and everyone's extremely nice, but when it comes to living, maybe I'll go with Nagasaki...?

 

やっぱり国内旅行は最後まで面白かった。鹿児島空港でこの畳のベンチを見たら、「おもしろ～～い！日本、かわいい！！」と思って写真を撮りました（笑）

Yep, this trip was interesting up until the very end. When I saw this tatami bench at Kagoshima Airport, I thought it was hilarious and had to take a picture. Japan, you are so cute.
