世界陸上 (World Championship in Athletics in Osaka)

土曜日にようやく家にインターネットが整備されました。
これからはもう少し頻繁に更新しないと・・・

まだまだ蒸し暑い日本ですが、今は世界陸上がここ大阪で開かれてますね。
会場まで行く時間も元気もあまりないですが、テレビではちらほら観てます。
この人達は各国を代表してるだけでなく、自分自身の限界に挑戦しているのですね。
自分を振り返ると・・・若干反省気味です（苦笑）。

とりあえずは、今週の仕事の予習でも始めますか・・・

Finally got an access to Internet at home!
I should update my blog more frequently than before, of course...^^;

Maybe you know we have the World Championship in Athletics,
here in Osaka now.
As the weather is so hot and humid now in Japan,
most of the games seem to be held in the morning and evening.
Although I'm relatively close to the stadium,
I don't have enough time to watch those games...

Those athletes are not only on behalf of their countries
but also challenging theirselves.
I really respect their attitudes and should consider mine.

Let's start considering the work I have this week and then...

御堂筋 (Midou-suji）

ふとログを見てみると、意外と皆さん、まだ観に来てくださっているようですね。
いやー、ありがたいことです。最近は以前と比べてネタも少ないというのに。

弊社は既に先週木or金曜日から夏休みに入っているので、
（と言っても自宅で仕事してたりもしますが・・・）
先日は買い物がてら大阪の大動脈、御堂筋へ行ってきました。

いやー、ここはすっかり大阪のブランドストリートと化してます。
・エルメス
・ルイ・ヴィトン
・ハリー・ウィンストン
・オメガ
・ダンヒル
エトセトラ、エトセトラ・・・
高級ブランドとしては、こういうところに出店することで
そのブランドイメージを保つという面もあるんだな、と
歩いていて感じましたね。

いやー、それにしても手が届かない・・・

Access-log tells me that a lot of people are still coming to my blog.
As I did not expect this kind of thing would happen,
this news is very encouraging to me.
Want to make my blog full of new and useful topics hearafter.

Thanks to our company's policy, we have 10 or 11 straight holidays in summer.
(Some people work at home temporarily, however...)
So, I went to the Midou-suji, the main street in Osaka.

Recent multiple years has changed this street into the Brand street,
the street with a lot of luxury brand shops along the street.
- Hermes
- Harry Winston
- Omega
- Lous Vuitton
- Dunhill
etc.etc...

Luxury brand companies would keep their status by holding their shops
along such streets worldwide.

Anyway, I would need more time to be familiar with this kind of street...

なにわ淀川花火大会 (Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival)

昨日は友人に誘われて、淀川の花火大会に久しぶりに行ってきました。
花火大会に来るのは3年ぶりくらいでしょうか・・・
場所取りとかで大変だったけど、間近で見た花火は
やはり迫力が違いましたねぇ。
なんてったって、花火の燃えカスが飛んでくるくらい近いので・・・

会社ももうすぐ夏休みですが、その前に２つ、３つ仕事をこなして、
今年はのんびりと国内で過ごす予定です。

Last night I was enjoying Naniwa Yodogawa Fireworks Festival,
one of the biggest fireworks festival in Kansai area.
Never been in such a kind of festival for three years.
It was hard to secure a place to watch in the daytime;
but it's worth watching at the foot of fireworks.
It's awesome!
(We sat very close enough to find some pieces of exploded fireworks itself...

We will have summer holidays for 11 days;
some of my co-workers will travel abroad but I'll stay in Japan this summer.
