Shinjiro Koizumi's press conference yesterday caused a controversy because it was held in an unusual way -- questions were accepted in advance and reporters were assigned seats.
Koizumi answered reporters' questions by flipping through documents covered with pink sticky notes, and strived hard to avoid the "Shinjiro syntax."

In a Genron TV program yesterday, lawyer and former Tokyo High Public Prosecutor's Office prosecutor, Yasuyuki Takai, voiced bomb-remarks on Shinjiro Koizumi that "I thought he was dangerous. I thought Japan would fall apart, if we left it to him."
He said that "In the world of the yakuza, it's no problem. However, in the politics circle, we don't really hear the phrase "settling things." What's more, he said to "want to hear the nationals' opinions on the issue of "constitutional reform" & "optional separate surnames for married couples." Not to try to get the Constitution revised, he just wants to hear it. He has no thought of what he will do, if it's rejected. He seems to think that, if he voices to increase the intensity and speed of policies and reforms, he will be applaused. However, I can see clearly that if we entrust (Japan) to him, the number of persons to be cut off will increase, Japan will fall apart, and the country will become a "society of resentment" filled with "division" & "conflict." He's an extremely dangerous person."
Is Japan no problem with him being the most popular?
