昨日最終の天気予報ではすべての警報が解除され、熱帯性低気圧ではなく、サイクロン「ダフネ」と表現されていました
二つの低気圧が合体してサイクロンになり、フィジーを襲ったため首都スバの中心部は冠水し、すべてのフィジー発の飛行機は欠航になりました
これで彼らは帰国できると思ったのですが、彼らの帰国予定のフライトが欠航になったため、昨夜はかなり遅くまで帰路変更のための予約に時間を費やしました
最終的にブリスベイン、オークランド経由でアピアに帰るというかなり遠回りになってしまいました
しかも今週末はイースター休暇なので料金はかなり高額です
でも最初のフライトと全く違う航空会社で、欠航理由が気候条件の場合には払い戻しはあるものの、他社への変更はできないそうです
したがって彼らは貯めこんだ虎の子のマイレージを吐き出して、航空券を手に入れることができました
今朝は私を病院に降ろして買い物に行き、11時に迎えに来たあと、一緒に空港へ行きました
もうすぐ彼らの長い休暇も終わりになります
The last weather forecast of yesterday scribed the tropical disturbance as the cyclone “DAPHNE”.
Two tropical depressions had merged into one cyclone and attacked Fiji then the capital city Suva had flooded.
We thought that they will be able to go back on schedule but the all airplanes through Fiji had canceled and they had to find the other option last night.
Finally they found the other rout that was through Brisbane and Auckland.
However the original flight will be refundable but no compensation for changing the flight to the other airlines.
Also this weekend will be Easter holiday and all airlines are very busy.
They used the mileage that they had been saved for a long time for this transportation.
This morning they dropped me at the hospital and after their shopping we went to the airport together.
Their long vacation will be finished soon.
