今朝職場でJICAがおこなうトレーニングコースに医療機器メンテナンスに関するものがないかと聞かれ、すぐにJICAオフィスに行って調べてみましたところ、今年度の案件で現在進行中のものが３件もありました
しかしながら参加可能地域が限定されていて、ひとつは中央アジアで使用言語がロシア語
あとのふたつも、中米のスペイン語圏とアフリカのポルトガル語圏に限定で、残念ながらオセアニアから参加できる英語のコースは用意されていません
来年度分についても調べてもらいましたが、同様なもので英語によるコースはありませんでした
しかし英語のコースを実施するためには、参加人員をある程度は集める必要があり、ソロモンやサモアのような小国では同時に多人数が抜けてしまうのは現実的でありません
そこで、大洋州全体を合同でとらえて、各国から２名程度の参加者を募れば、みんな飛びついてくるように思われ、その可能性をJICA本部に打診してもらうように依頼しました
これが実現すると、かなり実践的に役立つと思われます
This morning, the management of the hospital asked me if there is any training course about the medical equipment maintenance.
I went to JICA office soon to checked it and found three items of the concerning training course which will be done by the end of this fiscal year.
However all of them were limited area to apply, one is central Asia which will be done in Russian language.
Other two were also in Spanish language for the South American countries and in Portuguese for African countries.
I checked also scheduled item in next year, but there is no English course.
To realize the English course, we have to collect at least 10 attendees in this country and it is inconsistent with reality because of not enough manpower.
So I asked JICA to investigate about possibility to have an English course for all developing countries in South Pacific in near future.
If it becomes true, all countries will dispatch one or two attendees and it must be very useful for all developing countries.
