The Japanese media crossed the line when they made up Minister Kamikawa's statement that "a woman must be born to be the governor of Shizuoka Prefecture with Omura as a candidate."
As the linked article says, Japan has excessive press freedom and can "do whatever it wants."
The Asahi Shimbun is no stranger to misdeeds, but Kyodo News has somehow become " heinous" in its own right.
As for Kyodo News' LDP articles, it is safe to say that they are "fake media" that should no longer be trusted from the very beginning.
With Foreign Minister Uekawa's "no birth" comment, the "mal-information" fake by the media has jumped over the danger line.
